Looking for a good Dark Pokemon

I know I fought Poochyenas near the start of the game. I just can not remember where.

I am pretty new to the game, most of my 'starters' are getting to the 40's at what point should I be looking to have a set team?

For a good dark type I would suggest Zorua, the event for it is weather based raining at night.

A zoroark is a speedy special attacker so it will strike first and hit hardest with moves light night daze but should know foul play just in case of the occasional opportunity to use it. Also honchrow is a good defender but it's foul play move can knock out an enemy physical attacker nearly instantly. Absol is good for physicals attack and must be trained in defensives and speed fields where it is weakest. Then it can sucker punch things to death.
