What if Reborn was adapted as a season of the Pokémon Anime

Like, imagine how much would have to be changed for it to be kid friendly.

 

Here are some random thoughts:

Corey would get arrested instead of committing suicide. Kiki would actually die of disease.

Amaria, instead of attempting suicide, would have a stroke.

Titania would kill no one.

There would be many filler towns and cities (named after minerals, like everything else in reborn)

Dr. Connal's atrocities would be only implied.

Ash will STILL not evolve his Pikachu.

Cain's sexuality would be like James' : very, very implied, but never outright stated.

Amaria and Titania would only be very good friends.

Team Meteor would be the one that tries to drown Ash in Amaria's gym, Amaria saving Ash from drowning.

i feel if this was adapted to the anime that they would focus on field effects really hard just like they do whenever one of the games introduces a new mechanic like double battles, mega evolution , z-moves, breeding.

 

the dark stuff would all be pushed aside because the Pokemon company will always till the end of time market the Pokemon towards children even

You'd be better off making it it's own anime. 

 

 

Everyone is already written for you, It's just that you have to adapt it into anime. As well as animate the epic pokemon battles.

 

 

You'd also have to write in a new MC, with personality traits, battling talents, character flaws, et cetera. I'd personally go with the edgy emo trope (I mean, It worked for Cloud Strife, In the original Final Fantasy VII, not so much in Advent Children), to reflect how dark and edgy reborn is. But you have to write more than that. You'd have to be able to have the MC be unique, in a lot of ways. Silent Protagonists won't cut it in an anime. A well developed character will be interesting, edgy emo or not.

 

 

Ash would not do well in this environment. And they'd have to butcher Reborn's story to make it good for the Anime.

That's the whole point of this thread, to discuss how the story would be butchered/whitewashed. (I know about the "If reborn was an anime" thread, this isn't the same thing)

Like, if they can make "kid-friendly" NES games out of R-Rated Movies, then why the heck not a kid friendly anime out of a mature game  (and yes, I had the idea for this thread after watching the latest AVGN episode.)

You know what would be funnier? If nothing changed in the story and Ash just replaced the protagonists role! He'd probably be traumatized from the train bombing. He'd be really confused about Cain hitting on him. He'd probably jump after Amaria. And Dr. Connal would put him in the orphanage since he's 10 with no parents or guardians around him.
