Wait for request: you'll get the 'Waiting...' screen until someone types your ID in the 'Send request' function. Random Matchup: like the name says, the matchup is completely random and as soon as another player uses this function, you battle against each other. There are no conditions to be matched and if no one shows up, it looks like you just had some bad luck.
