Tutorial: Replacing the SUN icon with your icon

Recommended Posts

So this is a thing many RPG Maker XP game developers are wondering...

How can you change/swap/replace the SUN icon into the game.exe? Well this tutorial will help answer your question!

There's already tutorial on the internet. However, some people don't trust Resource Hacker as they may get a virus or that it will destroy their game.

I'll show you what it looks like when I'm doing it. Cheers to pictures and stuff!

Requirements:

Windows 7 or higher

GIMP

Resource Hacker

Pokemon Essentials (or some other game)

Photoshop (Optional)

MS Paint (Optional)

Be sure to backup your game before doing this.

I've done this twice now. One on my main game and one on my test game. I'll try it again on my test game.

After you replace the icon, it will duplicate into the original. You may delete that. Enjoy!

Instructions unclear, game turned into a MLP x FNaF visual novel

It's a step by step process. You'll understand if your a game developer and is experience with the tools.

Also, it's a test game for crying out loud. :U

It was just a meme, the tutorial was easy to follow and I appreciate the time and effort put into this for something I would need to figure out eventually but hadn't actually gotten to yet
