Reborn as first Pokemon game?

When I started Reborn a few years ago, it was actually my first Pokemon game. My parents didn't let me have consoles or anything, so I decided to try Reborn after seeing some of my friends play the game. Of course, it was pretty challenging, but I made it through and have continued to enjoy Pokemon games ever since. Anyone else ever have a similar experience? If so, what was it like?

That's really cool. And I'm sure Ame is happy that her game introduced Pokemon to someone.

Personally I had played Gen 2-3, and 5 before starting on Reborn so I had known about the majority of mechanics of the game before starting.

My parents wish I had been kept away from video games growing up, lol. But I played video games back in the days of the original game boy and SNES, so I started with the original red and blue.
