Now I have returned to play through this game fresh in 2016 and I am still stumped as to how to get this item. Can someone explain this? Thank you! EDIT: After uh struggling with the notorious Route 2 lag, it's pretty simple to get there actually. Um, from the previous area above, you just need to jump from the that area onto the rock on the lower level. I'll take a screenshot to help make it clear.
