Lucky for you, in Pokémon Reborn the shiny rate is quite merciful. That's the only Pokémon game where I can feel like I don't care skipping or killing a shiny.

Because in any other game I would already overreact over the mere fact that I found a shiny.

You can find a lot of shinies in this game. My third pokemon was a shiny, I believe. I've seen four or five, but I've only caught a couple. Some of the shinies are rather ugly.

Some shinys I've even seen more than once (saw 2 or 3 shiny spinda...)

It is still fun to find a shiny, since you don't know what to expect (this game has different shinies than the originals)

When I got further in the game I actually made it a goal to catch all the event pokemon from that moment on only in shiny form (costs a lot of time and soft resets, but very happy when that shiny finally appears )

I have like, half a box of Shinies in Reborn... and six of them are freaking Purrloins...

Not only that, but I once encountered three shinies in a row in the cave underneath the bridge in North Obsidia.

So yeah... Reborn's rates are pretty generous ^^"
