Recommended Posts

Well, since Version 7 of Pokemon Rejuvenation came out, it's time to be the first person to do a challenge run of it! I've decided to pick the Normal-type, and name all my Pokemon after fairy-tale characters (and yes I know that would have been better for a fairy-type run LEAVE ME ALONE AARRGGHH). Anyway, here's the team so far (Shout-out to my friend SHIA for hacking in a starter!):

398.pngMaleficent (Female) - Lv. 47

586-s.pngLumberjack (Male) - Lv. 46

660.pngSavage (Female) - Lv. 46

695.pngAurora (Female) - Lv. 47

668-f.pngRR Hood (Female) - Lv. 47

022.pngPeter (Male) - Lv. 39

295.pngBig Bad Wolf (Female) - Lv. 48

150.pngShadow Mewtwo (Defeated!)

Finally, we have this run's theme song: a remix of "Ghost Fight" by Kamex!

Wish me luck!

...Oh, and don't worry about Nim's (Mis)Adventures In The Reborn Region. I'll get back to that soon.

Update #1: Once Apon A Time...

Well, the tutorial fights against Amaria and Ren were pretty easy. I led with Karen the Meloetta, and she managed to take out Amaria's Fennekin and Ren's Froakie within two turns with round. With that over with, it's time to explore East Gearen City and get a big chunk of our team!

The team so far:

Update #2: GARBAGE DAY!

Well, the Garbodor Gang wasn't all that bad. I led with one of our new team members, Nightingale the Hoothoot, Ren led with Murkrow, and the gang led with two Trubbish. Nightingale put one Trubbish to sleep with a hypnosis and Murkrow dented the other Trubbish with a pursuit while the Trubbish dented Murkrow with a pound and poisoned both Pokemon with a poison gas. Murkrow then dented the sleeping Trubbish with an astonish and Nightingale injured the other Trubbish with a tackle while tanking a pound. The next turn, Murkrow and Nightingale teamed up on the Trubbish that wasn't sleeping with a pursuit and a tackle, but it lived and injured Murkrow with a pound. Fortunately, the awake Trubbish finally fell to a pursuit, but it damaged Murkrow with aftermath, causing it to faint from poison damage; Nightingale, meanwhile, damaged the other Trubbish with a tackle. Up next came the Garbodor itself, and Ren sent out his Froakie. Froakie damaged the remaining Trubbish with a quick attack, but Nightingale fell to a pound from Garbodor while the remaining Trubbish woke up and injured Froakie with a pound. I sent out Bluebeard the Bidoof next, and he managed to tank a pound from the Trubbish and KO it alongside Froakie with a quick attack/tackle combo! The Garbodor set up toxic spikes and injured Froakie with a pound, but it lived and was able to growl at it while Bluebeard started spamming tackle. Garbodor promptly poisoned Bluebeard and Froakie with a poison gas, but they countered with a tackle and a lick, then used tackle and lick again while Garbodor set up toxic spikes. Froakie then finally ended it with a quick attack, ending the fight! Time to head on out to the Goldenwood Forest!

The team so far:

648.pngKaren (Non-Binary) - Lv. 10

399.pngBluebeard (Male) - Lv. 12

504.pngCobbler (Male) - Lv. 10

163.pngNightingale (Female) - Lv. 10

Update #3: One-Course Melia

Well, Melia took a couple tries due to me only using four Pokemon (I want to temporarily use the shadow Pokemon so I can beat the Dimensional Rift Gyrados), but she went down eventually. On TEH URN, I led with one of our newest team members, Aurora the Helioptile, and Melia led with a shiny Doduo. Doduo hit Aurora with a rage, but Aurora was able to set up a charge and one-shot it with a mighty thundershock! Up next came Melia's Eevee, so I swapped out to Nightingale. She just barely tanked a take down with 3 HP and did some damage with two uproars while Melia used a potion, but then was taken down by a second take down. Luckily, Karen was able to swoop back in and do serious damage with three rounds while Melia used another potion, taking out the Eevee! Melia sent out her Minccino next, so I sent out our other newest team member: Big Bad Wolf the Whismur! She tanked a knock off and managed to take out the Minccino with two echoed voices, propting Melia to send out her Teddiursa. Unfortunately, Teddiursa KO'd Big Bad Wolf with two feint attacks, but she was at least able to do massive damage to it with a mighty echoed voice before she fell. I sent out Karen again, and she shrugged off a baby-doll eyes to take out the Teddiursa with a round, leaving Melia with only her ace: Happiness the Togepi! I swapped out for Aurora, and she set up a charge and fired off a thundershock while Happiness yawned at her; amazingly, though, Happiness then landed a searing shot through metronome and burned Aurora, leaving her awake! Aurora tanked a metronome-turned-nuzzle and did some damage with another charge-boosted thundershock, but was injured by an echoed voice and fell to burn injuries. Luckily, Happiness was left so weak by this assault that Karen was able to come in and KO it with a confusion, ending the fight! With that over with, Team Xen attack, so I guess we better fight them off!

The team so far:

648.pngKaren (Non-Binary) - Lv. 15

293.pngBig Bad Wolf (Female) - Lv. 15

163.pngNightingale (Female) - Lv. 14

694.pngAurora (Female) - Lv. 14

Update #4: Hey I'm Farst, I'm Not So Farst

Well, Eli and Sharon were pretty tricky (after all, I was using a team of only normal-types against a team of only rock-types), but I got past them. On TEH URN, I led with Aurora, and they led with Lunatone. Lunatone got off two confusions while Aurora fired off a charge-boosted thundershock, then took out Aurora with two rock throws after she damaged it further with another charge-boosted thundershock. I sent out the shadow Tympole next, and snapped him out of hyper mode while Lunatone used confusion. I then quickly swapped it out for Karen, and she tanked a confusion on the switch, then tanked a rock throw and two confusions to take it down with four rounds! Up next came Eli and Sharon's Solrock, and Karen tanked a rock throw and put the Solrock to sleep with a sing. I quickly swapped out to Big Bad Wolf, but the Solrock woke up and took her out with two rock throws. I sent out Nightingale next so she could get some EXP, then swapped her out for the Shadow Tympole, who then promptly fainted from a rock throw. Karen came back out, and tanked two rock throws while spamming confusion; on the third confusion, she managed to confuse the Solrock, and it hurt itself in confusion. This let her finish it with a round, ending the fight! Onwards to Zetta!

The team so far:

648.pngKaren (Non-Binary) - Lv. 16

293.pngBig Bad Wolf (Female) - Lv. 16

163.pngNightingale (Female) - Lv. 15

694.pngAurora (Female) - Lv. 14

535.pngShadow Tympole - Lv. 13

Update #5: A Rift in Time

Well, Zetta was actually a lot easier than I expected! I led with Aurora, and he led with Murkrow. Murkrow only used haze twice, allowing Aurora to set up a charge and KO it with a mighty thundershock! Up next came the shadow Duskull, so I sent out Nightingale, who put it to sleep with a sing, letting me catch it with two great balls! Zetta then sent out his trickiest Pokemon for me to deal with: his Sneasel. I sent out Big Bad Wolf, but she fainted to an icy wind and two ice shards after only getting off two echoed voices. The shadow Tympole came out next, and it managed to take it out with a shadow wave after tanking an ice shard! All that remained was his Weezing, so I sent out Karen, who tanked an assurance and took it out with two confusions! And so, I get sucked into the Dimensional Rift. Time for the fight against the Gyrados!

...I'm not looking forward to this...

The team so far:

648.pngKaren (Non-Binary) - Lv. 17

293.pngBig Bad Wolf (Female) - Lv. 16

163.pngNightingale (Female) - Lv. 15

694.pngAurora (Female) - Lv. 15

535.pngShadow Tympole - Lv. 13

Update #6: Skull Crackin' (Fun Fact: Gyrados' original name was going to be Skullkracken)

Well, I did it. I beat the DImensional Rift Gyrados... on my first try! I'm pretty impressed with myself! Anyway, I led with Karen, and xe fired off three confusions in an attempt to confuse the Gyrados; the Gyrados didn't get confused, though, and just set up a rain dance before taking xem out with a fire fang, an ice fang, and a dimensional thrash. The shadow Duskull and Shadow Tympole went down pretty fast to two dimensional thrashes as well; running out of options, I sent out Aurora, and then a miracle happened: while the Gyrados set up another rain dance, she managed to paralyze it with a thundershock! She then outsped it and took it down with one last thundershock! With that over with, Melia goes on the run; time to battle Venam for the badge required to go after her!

The team so far:

648.pngKaren (Non-Binary) - Lv. 17

293.pngBig Bad Wolf (Female) - Lv. 16

163.pngNightingale (Female) - Lv. 15

Update #7: A Toxic Environment

Well, Venam was actually pretty tough, but I beat her eventually. On TEH URN, I led with Savage the shiny Bunnelby, and she led with Trubbish. Savage actually didn't do all that well; he got slammed by two Venam's kisses and a payback, and missed two take downs; he finally landed his third take down, but the recoil knocked him out. Luckily, Big Bad Wolf was able to come out and tanked a Venam's kiss to fire off four echoed voices, making Venam use up all of her potions in the process! Up next came Venam's Tentacool, and sadly it took out Big Bad Wolf with a single venoshock. Aurora came out next, and she set up a charge while tanking a venoshock and seriously injured Tenacool with a thundershock before she fainted to a second venoshock. I then sent out Nightingale, and he did some serious damage with two uproars, tanking two water pusles in the process! Unfortunately, he fainted to a venam's kiss from Venam's Ivysaur. I sent out one of our newer team members, RR Hood the Litleo, and she tanked a Venam's kiss to do massive damage with two mighty embers, ending it! Up next came Venam's ace, Seviper. RR Hood lowered its attacking stats with a noble roar, but fell to a Venam's kiss regardless. With no other options, I decided to stop messing around and sent out Karen, who managed to tank a Venam's kiss and end the Seviper with two confusions! Venam sent out her Stunky next, and Karen survived a Venam's kiss to take it down with two rounds. All that remained was Venam's Haunter, but it went down to a single critical-hit confusion before it could even attack! With Venam defeated and the PoisonHeart Badge obtained, it's time to head on out to Route 2!

The team so far:

648.pngKaren (Non-Binary) - Lv. 20

294.pngBig Bad Wolf (Female) - Lv. 20

163.pngNightingale (Female) - Lv. 18

694.pngAurora (Female) - Lv. 18

659.pngSavage (Female) - Lv. 20

667.pngRR Hood (Female) - Lv. 19

Update #8: The Apprentice

Well, Nim was pretty easy. I led with Savage and Aurora, and she led with Solrock and Lunatone. Solrock got hit with a rock smash from Savage, and Aurora set up a charge while tanking a psywave and an ancientpower. Aurora then teamed up with Savage to do massive damage with a mighty thundershock/rock smash hybrid, but then fell to a confusion while Savage tanked a rock slide. I decided to send out Nightingale next, and she put Lunatone to sleep with a hypnosis while Savage took out Solrock with a rock smash. Up next came Nim's Inkay, and it took serious damage from a take down while Nightingale used uproar (because I'm a derp and forgot it would wake up Lunatone) and Lunatone and Inkay injured Nightingale with an ancientpower and a psywave. Savage then ended Inkay with a quick attack, and Nightingale dented Lunatone with an uproar before falling to a confusion. Nim sent out her Espurr next, and I sent out RR Hood, who weakened Espurr with an ember before fainting to a psybeam and a confusion; Savage, meanwhile, wailed away on Lunatone with a rock smash. I decided to stop messing around and sent out Karen. Karen fired off a round on Espurr and Savage took out Lunatone with a rock smash before just barely surviving a psybeam. Fortunately, the next turn, he was able to end the Espurr with a mighty quick attack, ending it and ending the fight! With our money back and the twistedspoon in hand, it's time to confront Zetta!

The team so far:

648.pngKaren (Non-Binary) - Lv. 22

294.pngBig Bad Wolf (Female) - Lv. 22

164.pngNightingale (Female) - Lv. 21

694.pngAurora (Female) - Lv. 21

660.pngSavage (Female) - Lv. 23

667.pngRR Hood (Female) - Lv. 22

Update #9: The Fall of Zetta

Well, Zetta was, as Venam said, "nothing more than a shitty rerun on TV". Seriously, I took him out in less than a minute. Anyway, I led with Karen, Venam led with Whirlipede, and Zetta led with Croagunk and Sneasel. Karen tanked a slash and took out the Croagunk with a single confusion while Whiripede seriously dented Sneasel with a Venam's kiss. Up next came Zetta's Absol. Karen took it out with a single field-boosted, critical-hit round, and while she tanked a night slash from Sneasel with just a sliver of health remaining, Whirlipede took out Sneasel with a bug bite. All that remained was Zetta's Quilladin, and while it set up a leech seed on Karen, Karen and Whirlipede took it out with a single round/Venam's kiss combo, ending the fight! Now to stop the Dimensional Rift!

The team so far:

648.pngKaren (Non-Binary) - Lv. 24

294.pngBig Bad Wolf (Female) - Lv. 22

Update #10: Arachnophobia

Well, the Dimensional Rift Galvantula was a little tricky, but not as bad as I remember it being. I led with RR Hood, Venam led with Whirlipede, and the Dimensional Rift led with two Joltik. RR Hood tanked a bug bite and injured the stronger of the two Joltik with an ember while Whirlipede shrugged off a gastro acid and did some serious damage with a Venam's kiss on the weaker Joltik; RR Hood then ended the stronger Joltik with a second ember and tanked a bug bite while Whirlipede took out the weaker Joltik with a Venam's kiss, prompting the Dimensional Rift to send out two more Joltik. Whirlipede and RR Hood then teamed up with an ember/Venam's kiss combo on the leftmost Joltik, and burned it in the process; the Joltik, meanwhile, set up a gastro acid on RR Hood and hit Whirlipede with a slash. RR Hood then tanked a slash and an electroweb and seriously injured Joltik with an ember while Whirlipede took out the burned Joltik with a Venam's kiss, prompting the Dimensional Rift Galvantula to finally rear its ugly head. It took out RR Hood instantly with an electroweb and seriously injured Whirlipede with the same attack, and Whirlipede just barely survived a slash to get off a bug bite on the Joltik. I decided to send out Savage, and he completely resisted two electrowebs and did some damage to the Galvantula with a take down while Whirlipede finally fell. Venam sent out her Weezing next, and while Savage tanked a bug bite, it took out the Joltik with a venoshock before Savage continued to injure Galvantula with a take down. Galvantula tried to use a sucker punch,, but it was in vain, as Jan hasn't implemented it yet. This allowed Savage and Weezing to take it down with a take down and Venoshock! With the DImensional Rift down, Zetta gets captured by Crescent, and we're left to soak up the aftermath of Melia's "death". Well... onward to Sheridan Village, I guess...

Update #11: The Battle of Sheridan Village

Wow. I did it. I never thought I'd do it, but I finally beat Keta's body. It was pretty darn brutal, but I managed to get past him without grinding to the level cap. Anyway, on TEH URN, I led with Karen, and he led with Hawlucha. Hawlucha miraculously missed a gale strike, allowing Karen to take it down with a single confusion! Out next came Keta's Hariyama, which (again, miraculously) missed a gale strike while Karen missed a sing. All it had to do was take out Karen with a single knock off and my chances of winning would have been squashed. Luckily, it used facade for some reason, which Karen tanked while firing off two more sings. The second sing connected, putting Hariyama to sleep and letting Karen take Hariyama down with a barrage of confusions, making Keta use up all of his super potions! Up next came Keta's Gurdurr, but its quick claw refused to activate, allowing Karen to take it out with a single confusion! Keta then sent out his Meinshao, so I sent out Nightingale, who tanked a gale strike with just one HP left, then put it to sleep with a hypnosis! While it slept, I swapped out to Karen, who took it down with two confusions! Keta decided to stop messing around and sent out his toughest Pokemon: his Medicham. I switched out to Nightingale, then predicted a thunder punch and swapped out to Savage. Since Medicham was locked into thunder punch thanks to its choice band, Savage had the opportunity to set up an agility. Keta finally wised up and swapped out to his ace, Lucario, but Savage did some serious damage on the switch with a rock smash, then got off another rock smash and tanked an ice punch before ending the Lucario with one last rock smash! Keta's Medicham came back out, but Savage did insane damage to it with a take down before falling to a gale strike. Fortunately, one of our newer team members, Tom Thumb the Aipom, came out and managed to do some damage with a fake out before going in for the kill with a skill-link-powered fury swipes! With Keta down, he runs off, depriving us of his badge... I guess we better follow him!

The team so far:

648.pngKaren (Non-Binary) - Lv. 26

520.pngDuckling (Female) - Lv. 24

164.pngNightingale (Female) - Lv. 25

190.pngTom Thumb (Male) - Lv. 25

Update #12: Shadowhunter

Well, funnily enough, the Shadow Mewtwo was actually a lot easier than Keta was. I led with one of our newer team members- Duckling the Tranquill- and she managed to dodge a shadow blast thanks to detect. I quickly swapped her out for Nightingale, and he fell to a shadow chill; his efforts weren't in vain, though, as the Mewtwo's attack caused it to enter hyper mode! I sent out Savage next, and she dented the Mewtwo slightly with a quick attack before falling to a shadow chill. Up next came Tom Thumb, and he got off a fake off before falling to a third shadow chill. Duckling came back out and set up another detect, then quickly swapped out to Big Bad Wolf, who took a shadow blast for her. Duckling then came back out one last time and set up a detect, causing the Mewtwo to injure itself from confusion damage! With the Shadow Mewtwo held off by Keta, it's time to destroy the generator and end this!

The team so far:

Update #13: Mercy Kill

Well, the Dimensional Rift Volcanion wasn't all that bad, at least compared to the last couple of battles. I led with Tom Thumb, and he got off a fake out and did massive damage with a fury swipes before falling to a water pulse. Karen came out next, and she set up a teeter dance, causing the Volcanion to injure itself. Karen then tanked a water pulse and took it out with two confusions, ending the fight and destroying the Xen base! With the base in smoldering ruins, it's time to find Keta's Soul and finally get my badge!

Update #14: Heart and Soul

Well, Keta's soul was pretty darn hard, but for some reason I feel like his soul was a little easier than his body. On TEH URN, I led with Karen, and he led with Primeape. Karen survived a cross chop from Primeape with 43 HP remaining, then took it out with a single confusion, prompting Keta to send out his Pangoro. I swapped out for Nightingale, who managed to one-shot the Pangoro with a field-boosted uproar! Up next came Keta's Hitmontop, so I sent out Karen again. Karen dodged a counter and seriously injured it with a confusion, then spammed confusion while Keta used up all his super potions. Hitmontop finally fell to a super potion after Keta used up all of his super potions, and Keta then decided to send out his Scrafty. I sent Nightingale back out, and while she did insane damage to it with an uproar, Scrafty decided to use knock off instead of high jump kick (which definitely would have KO'd Nightingale). Nightingale survived the blow and retaliated with a second uproar, ending the Scrafty! With Scrafty down, Keta sent out his ace, Hawlucha, and I sent out Tom Thumb. Tom Thumb did chip damage with a fake out, then quickly healed Karen with a soda pop before fainting to a brick break. Karen came back out, and tanked a gale strike and a wing attack to end it with two confusions! All that remained was Keta's Sawk, so I sent out Duckling, who scouted out a brick break with a detect, then tanked a brick break with just two HP and did some damage with an air cutter. She then spent her last turn before fainting healing Karen with a soda pop before fainting to a second brick break. Karen wasn't fully healed, though, so I sent out Savage, who got off a quick attack before fainting, and RR Hood, who spent her turn further healing Karen before fainting to a brick break. Karen finally came out, tanked a brick break, and ended the fight with a confusion! With the fight over and the Diamond Punch Badge finally obtained, it's time to head on out to Goldenleaf Town!

Update #15: Need A Dispenser Here!

Well, Amaria was pretty tough, but not quite Keta-level tough. On TEH URN, I led with Karen, and she led with her Ninetails. Ninetails confused Karen with a confuse ray, causing xem to injure xyrself in confusion; it then spammed incinerate while Karen spammed confusion. After two confusions, Amaria used her first super potion; it was pretty much wasted, though, as Ninetails took two more confusions and injured itself in confusion. This led to Amaria using up her last super potion, and Ninetails setting up a nasty plot and confusing Karen with a confuse ray. Despite the confusion, Karen still managed to land a few more confusions, ending the Ninetails! I wasn't oout of the woods yet, though; up next came Amaria's Ponyta, so I swapped out to Savage. Ponyta set up a solarbeam, so after Savage got off a mighty take down, I switched him out to Duckling. She tanked the solarbeam and a flame charge, then took out the Ponyta with an air cutter and a quick attack! Up next came Amaria's Magmar, so I swapped out to Tom Thumb. He did some damage with a fake out and a covet, but still fell to two flame bursts. Savage came back out, and even though he got confused, he still managed to take out the Magmar with a mighty take down and a quick attack! All that remained was Amaria's ace: Braixen. I swapped out to Nightingale, and she tanked a psybeam before putting it to sleep with a hypnosis; she then began spamming echoed voice. Braixen woke up after the third echoed voice and did some damage with a psybeam, but it was too little, too late, as Nightingale was able to KO it with one last echoed voice! With that down, it's time to go forth and explore Route 3!

Update #15: Death By Glamour

Well, Rirrom B. was a lot tougher than I expected him to be, but I took him down eventually. On TEH URN, I led with Savage, and he led with Yanmega. Savage tanked a pursuit and an uproar while firing off two take downs and a quick attack; sadly, he fell to a third uproar, prompting me to send out Duckling, who finished the job with a quick attack! Up next came Rirrom B.'s trickiest Pokemon to deal with: the Shadow Vivillon. I had Duckling use quick attack instead of detect, because I'm the legendary fartmaster and can't navigate menus. This led to Duckling getting OHKO'd by a shadow rush, prompting me to send out Karen. Karen just barely tanked a shadow rush with just one HP and confused it with a teeter dance before falling to a second shadow rush. Luckily, the Vivillon entered hyper mode and injured itself in confusion, allowing Nightingale to swoop in and KO it with an uproar! Up next came Rirrom B.'s ace: Wormadam. I sent out RR Hood, and she tanked a psybeam and a confusion to take it out with three embers! All that remained was Rirrom B.'s Accelgor, so I sent out Nightingale. It tried and failed to use a me first, allowing Nightingale to put it to sleep with a hypnosis and begin spamming echoed voice, eventually taking it out! With Rirrom B. down, it's time to continue our trek down Route 3!

Update #16: Ancient Power

Well, the Ancient Kingdra was a pretty close battle, but I managed to beat it. I led with a now fully-evolved Tom Thumb, and he did crazy damage with a technician-boosted fake out and covet before fainting to two surfs. I sent out Nightingale next, but she fell to a single thunder before she could attack. I decided to stop messing around and sent out Karen, who tanked a surf and confused the Kingdra with a teeter dance. She then pecked away at it with confsions while it injured itself in confusion multiple times. It eventually managed to land another surf, but I was able to heal Karen with a moomoo milk that I got back in Gearen City. She then ended it with two more confusions, ending the fight! With that done with, it's time to stock up on moomoo milks!

Wait, there's an Ancient Kingdra battle in Reju? Somehow i missed it, where is located?

Good job so far anyway ~

There's a Kingdra statue in the forest north of route 3. You can find a wing for it in the Purity Forest (where you purify your Pokemon), and if you bring the wing to the statue you can fight it. Beating it opens up a route to a little mini-town where you can catch a zubat and get moomoo milks. Also, thanks for the encouragement! Anyway...

Update #17: Copernicus Was Wrong; The Earth Revolves Around Ren

Well, Ren was harder than I expected, but I managed to get past him eventually. On TEH URN, I led with Big Bad Wolf (who now had scrappy) and he led with Sableye. Big Bad Wolf got confused and injured herself in confusion, but managed to land an echoed voice the next turn. Sableye tried setting up a mean look, but Ren realized that it wouldn't be able to hurt Big Bad Wolf and switched it out for Scraggy. After hitting it with an echoed voice on the switch, she quickly got swapped out for Duckling, who fell to a high jump kick on the switch. I sent out Tom Thumb next, and after Scraggy got rocked with a fake out, Ren healed Scraggy with a hyper potion. Despite getting healed to full health, it still fell to two covets, one of which was (miraculously) a critical hit! Up next came Ren's Frogadier, so I sent out Karen. Xe got slammed (and poisoned) by a gunk shot and a water pulse, but managed to set up a teeter dance and two rounds before Ren healed it with a hyper potion; I used this opportunity to heal Karen with an antidote and a moomoo milk. Frogadier managed to confuse xyr, and xe injured xemself, but managed to survive another water pulse and set up a teeter dance. It injured itself while Karen missed a sing, then got taken out by a critical-hit round! Up next came Ren's Houndour, so I swapped out to Tom Thumb, who took it don with a fake out and a covet! Ren sent out his Murkrow next, and I sent out Nightingale. Nightingale got off two echoed voices before fainting to a barrage of dark pulses, but she did enough damage for Savage to come out and take it out with two quick attacks after tanking a dark pulse! All that remained was Ren's Sableye, so I sent Big Bad Wolf back out and had her fire off a barrage of echoed voices; Sableye tried to heal off the damage and confuse her, but she took it out regardless! With that, Ren pitches a hissy fit and barricades the entrance to Goldenleaf town, forcing me to get Venam to open it. To the Sewers!

Update #18: Abnormal

Well, with the exception of her Slaking, Marianette wasn't all that bad! On TEH URN, I led with Tom Thumb, and she led with Heliolisk. The poor thing went down to a fake out and a covet before it could even attack, leading to Marianette sending out her Cinccino. I sent out Karen, and xe tanked a rock blast to confuse it with a teeter dance. Xe then did massive damage with a psybeam while Cinccino injured itself from confusion... and then got healed by an oran berry? .-. Jan, I know you had to nerf her, but couldn't you have given it something a little more potent? Anyway, Marianette then used up a hyper potion while Karen kept chiseling away with psybeam, and eventually it injured itself in confusion, allowing Karen to take it out! Up next came Marianette's Pyroar, and I sent out Savage. Savage took a surprising amount of damage from a flamethrower, and did some damage in return with a take down; however, Marianette used her second hyper potion, giving Savage only enough time to get off two quick attacks before she fell. Out next came RR Hood (now a fully evolved Pyroar!), and she began spamming echoed voice while tanking a flamethrower, eventually taking out the opposing Pyroar and making Marianette use up her last hyper potion! Up next came Marianette's Chatot, but the poor thing fell to an echoed voice almost instantly, as did Marianette's Porygon2. Sadly, RR Hood became overleveled, and loafed around in the face of Marianette's Slaking before promptly getting KO'd by a gunk shot to the face. I sent out our newest team member, Peter the Fearow, but he failed a mirror move and fell to a giga impact. Tom Thumb came out again, but he also loafed around and got hit with an earthquake; unlike RR Hood, though, he lived and did some damage with a double hit and a covet before fainting to a giga impact. I sent out Karen next, and the battle finally started to turn back to my favor. She confused the Slaking with a psybeam while it loafed around, then got healed by a soda pop while Slaking injured itself. This allowed her to withstand an earthquake and KO it with a few more psybeams! With that done with, it's time to finally get to Goldenleaf town!

The team so far:

648.pngKaren (Non-Binary) - Lv. 36

424.pngTom Thumb (Male) - Lv. 36

164.pngNightingale (Female) - Lv. 35

Update #19: Boom, Shake Shake Shake The Room

Well, Sharon and Eli were pretty tricky, but I got by them eventually. On TEH URN, I led with Big Bad Wolf (now a fully evolved Exploud, knowing the mighty boomburst) and Tom Thumb, and Eli and Sharon led with Solrock and Lunatone. Tom Thumb made the Lunatone flinch with a fake out, and Big Bad Wolf did serious damage to Solrock with a crunch while tanking a psybeam. Tom Thumb then tanked a psybeam (although he did get confused by it) and dented Lunatone with a double hit while Big Bad Wolf tanked a critical-hit psybeam and almost knocked out Solrock with a crunch. Eli and Sharon then both panicked and used up their max potions to heal their Pokemon, allowing Tom Thumb and Big Bad Wolf to gang up on Lunatone with a double hit and a crunch. Tom Thumb followed this up by unleashing another double hit on Lunatone, taking it out; meanwhile, Big Bad Wolf, unfortunately, flinched from a rock slide. Out next came Eli and Sharon's Tangrowth; I had Tom Thumb heal Big Bad Wolf with a moomoo milk before he fainted to a rock slide, allowing her to tank a power whip and do crazy damage to everyone else on the field with a boomburst! I sent out RR Hood next, and she took out Tangrowth with a flamethrower while Big Bad Wolf tanked a psybeam and did more damage with a crunch. Up next came Eli and Sharon's most dangerous Pokemon: Gyrados. I had RR Hood heal Big Bad Wolf with a moomoo milk, allowing her to survive a waterfall and a psybeam and take out Solrock (as well as injure Gyrados and, unfortunately, RR Hood) with a boomburst! Up next came Eli and Sharon's Milotic, and I had RR Hood once again heal Big Bad Wolf with a moomoo milk; RR Hood then fell to a thunder fang and a surf, but Big Bad Wolf was able to beat Gyrados within an inch of its life with a boomburst! I sent out Savage next, and she survived a surf (which actually KO'd Gyrados) and dug under a boomburst. Up next came Eli and Sharon's Rhydon, but it went down to a single surf from Milotic (yay, friendly fire!), and after Big Bad Wolf lowered Milotic's defenses with a screech, Savage finished the job with a dig and a quick attack! Time to confront Geara!

Update #20: Ghost Fight

Well, Geara was a lot easier than I expected! I led with Big Bad Wolf and Karen, and Geara led with Haunter and Drifblim. Karen tanked a sludge bomb and an acrobatics, then took out Haunter with a psybeam while Big Bad Wolf did some damage with a crunch. Geara decided to send out the Giratina, and while Drifblim took out Karen with an accrobatics, Big Bad Wolf tanked an air cutter and did massive damage with a boomburst. Savage came out next, and he tanked a slash and dug under a boomburst while Geara healed his Drifblim. Drifblim set up a substitute while Giratina tried (and failed) to land an aura sphere on Savage, and Big Bad Wolf did crazy damage with a crunch, leaving the Giratina with only a sliver of health! Geara, panicking, swapped out to his Doublade, and while Savage tanked an acrobatics and dug underground again with a dig, Savage took out the Drifblim with a boomburst! Geara sent Giratina back out, and proved himself to be insane by having Giratina target Savage while she was still underground again, allowing Big Bad Wolf to take out Giratina with a crunch before Savage fell to a retaliate. Fortunately, RR Hood was able to swoop in and KO Doublade with a flamethrower, ending the fight! With Geara temporarily disposed of, it's time to take on Narcissa!

Update #21: FALCON KICK!

Well, Alieta was pretty tough, but I got past her on my first try! On TEH URN, I led with Duckling, and she led with Scraggy. After scouting out a brick break, Duckling tanked a crunch and did massive damage with an air slash. Alieta then tried healing her Scraggy with all of her hyper potions, but Duckling kept hacking away with air slashes and took it down! Up next came her Gallade, so I sent out Peter, who managed to tank a night slash and take it down with two drill pecks! Alieta sent out her Hawlucha next, and I sent out Karen. Karen shrugged off an aerial ace and did crazy damage with a psybeam; the poor Hawlucha got confused from it and injured itself, allowing Karen to take it down with another psybeam! Up next came Alieta's Meinfoo, and I swapped out to Duckling. After dodging a dual chop thanks to protect, she did crazy damage with an air slash, but fainted from a critical-hit drain punch. I swapped out to Nightingale, but the poor thing took insane damage from a drain punch, even though she did do some damage in return with an air slash. I swapped out to Peter, and he tanked a dual chop with just 5 HP remaining to KO it with a mighty drill peck! Alieta decided to finally stop messing around and sent out her ace: Blaziken. I sent out Savage, but she fell to a critical-hit blaze kick. Luckily, Big Bad Wolf was able to do massive damage with a boomburst, but she took a massive amount of damage from a blaze kick, prompting me to swap out to Nightingale, who fell to a blaze kick meant for Big Bad Wolf. I then sent out Karen, but she also fell to a blaze kick. Luckily, Peter was able to heal Big Bad Wolf with a moomoo milk, allowing her to come out, dodge a blaze kick, and end the fight with a boomburst! Onward to Narcissa!

Update #22: Battle of the Ages

Wow. Narcissa was brutal, but I managed to somehow eke out a win on my second attempt! Seriously, it took me almost nine minutes, but I beat her! I'm lucky the AI bugged and didn't realize the field made ghost-type moves super effective against normal-types; otherwise, I would've been screwed. On TEH URN TO END ALL URNS, I led with Peter, and Narcissa led with Drifblim. Drifblim set up a tailwind while Peter dented it with a drill peck, but then he got put to sleep with a hypnosis. I quickly woke him up with a lava cookie, and after Drifblim whiffed a dream eater Narcissa swapped out to Rotom, which got hit by a drill peck on the switch. I swapped out to Big Bad Wolf, and she tanked two thunderbolts to get off a mighty boomburst, forcing Narcissa to heal Rotom with a hyper potion. I then healed Big Bad Wolf with a moomoo milk while she healed it with a hyper potion. Rotom quickly fired off a confuse ray, but Big Bad Wolf was able to stay focused and do massive damage with another boomburst! Narcissa tried healing it again, but Big Bad Wolf tanked a thunderbolt and got off another boomburst. I quickly healed Big Bad Wolf with a moomoo milk, and she survived two more thunderbolts with 48 HP to spare and ended the Rotom with one last boomburst! Narcissa decided to send out her Chandelure, and I sent out Savage. She managed to dodge a energy ball by digging under it, but had gotten hit with a confuse ray and injured herslef in confusion. I swapped out to Peter again, and while he was able to tank an energy ball and do massive damage with a critical-hit drill peck, he still fell to a flame burst, as did Duckling when I sent her out. I sent out RR Hood, and she healed Big Bad Wolf while tanking a flame burst; I quickly swapped her out for Savage, who took the fall for her from a flame burst and an energy ball. Luckily, Big Bad Wolf was able to survive a flame burst and end the Chandelure with a mighty boomburst! Drifblim came back out, and I kept Big Bad Wolf out. She did insane damage with a boomburst while Drifblim set up a tailwind, then managed to take out Narcissa's Spiritomb with two boombursts when she swapped Drifblim out for it! Sadly, she was now out of PP for boomburst, forcing me to swap out to RR Hood. RR Hood did some impressive damage with a flamethrower, but was put to sleep with a hypnosis. Luckily, I woke her up, and she managed to end the Drifblim with two more flamethrowers! Up next was her Mismagius, so I sent out Karen, who confused it with a teeter dance while it set up a nasty plot. The two then traded psybeams and thunderbolts, with karen being healed by a moomoo milk once; after a few turns, Mismagius went down! All that remained was Narcissa's Gengar. I sent out Big Bad Wolf again, and she healed Karen with a moomoo milk before falling to a sludge wave. Karen was able to tank a critical-hit sludge wave and do massive damage with a psybeam, then tanked another two sludge waves while I healed her before ending the fight with one last psybeam! With that fight finished, we earn our fourth badge, the Reaper Badge... and seriously anger Ren. I think we may have created a supervillain. Crud.
