Flux 30 Posted October 21, 2015 Share Posted October 21, 2015 So I don't know how many of you may have heard of this game, but Black Desert Online is a new action-MMORPG set to be released in the West sometime in 2016. The game is currently available in some playable form in Korea, and I believe they've started releasing Alpha keys for us in the West. Now a few of you might remember me talking about my "quest for the ultimate MMORPG" and this game looks like it might be the one. The character customization is INSANE and the game itself looks amazing. The gameplay animations are the sort of thing you would expect from a very high-budget developer -- they're also GREAT. There's a video here by somebody who managed to get onto the Korean servers to give it a test. The video's long, but I'd highly suggest watching at least a chunk of it if you have any interest in an action MMO. Their website explains that the game is neither free-to-play or subscription based. Instead, It will be a one-time purchase with the additional option to buy cosmetic items such as extra hairstyles, etc. This is pretty much the best method I could hope for for an RPG of this caliber.
