Shiny Encounter Rate?

So I've been running through the Underground Railnet trying to find a shiny Noibat. Simple enough, right? After a couple hours without much luck though, I'm curious; just what are the odds of having a wild shiny encounter? I understand that they were increased for Reborn.

here are the official rates (i thiink)

from 1/9000 something in the official games, it turns into a 1/100 chance of a shiny!

also we, the reborn community, recolored most of the shiny sprites! you can see them all in the graphics folder of the game!

The main-games' shiny rate is 8/65535 (1 in every 8000-ish), while Reborn's is 700/65535 (~1.07%).

I know that the shiny colors have been changed; it's something I was quite excited about when I first discovered it. Even now, I like to collect them, but I only spend hours and hours on one if it's going to be on my team.

If you want a sneak peak of the sprites, check the graphics -> battlers folder.

I feel this question should be added to the Game FAQ. It's asked quite a bit.

Anyways, yeah, It's 1/100 (1%).

It's easier to find them if you aren't trying to find them, I usually found about 4 while playing through the game.
