Well, as the school year ends, (for most of us at least (if your in school)) i have been thinking: I want to play a new instrument! (for the last five years) well, currently i am a pretty accomplished Baritone/Tuba player at my school, (y'know been to multi-county honor bands a couple of times, all that shiz'(actually, not that impressive :P)) And next year in our class, we are going to be introduced to marching. Yay.

50 percent of me is thinking of staying with the tuba, and the other 50 percent is deciding on playing the saxophone.

What do you think? Should i stick with the tuba, of should i play the saxophone for the first time? (yep. never played a woodwind instrument, aside from the recorder in elementary school.) Or should i play an entirely different instrument? (aside from orchestra instruments (violin, etc.) - not choosing those)

Tell me what you think! :P

EDIT: yep. a big coincidence that i have 75 posts upon writing this...

EDIT2: also, for got to mention, not choosing any form of guitar, sorry solace...

Clarinet is best woodwind

Nah, bias for my instrument aside, sax is a great instrument, only downside is that it's easiest woodwind there is. Tuba will get you the college scholarships though, so personally I'd stick with tuba.

That's cuz nobody plays tuba. You don't see people clambering over each other for the chance to play one. But bands and orchestras need good ones. Less competition.

Also, look at Bill Clinton. Look at a tuba player, then back to Bill. You too could be a lady's man if you learn to play the smooth sax. #halfassedoldspiceparody
