Hey, just wondering, I had a full party when I stumbled upon the blue egg in Tangroth's forest. Was going to come back after but then the forest disappeared hooray. Have I missed the boat on a decent 'mon?

You can get that pokemon later on in the wild anyway, I think. So dont worry that you missed the egg.

It used to, but it was changed again to perhaps the longest sidequest we have, presumably with a Magikarp at the end. (Not that you can even get to the end of the chain by e14 content.)

Yes you have,you missed out on and almighty water type destroyer...a pokemon so powerfull that it had to be inserted at Luna before being moved back a pokemon so powerfull that no water type could stand up to it. Meet the almighty Ducklett:
