  1. I'm about to face Noel at Tanzan Grove, but my team is really weak at the moment. I know his team is very strong and I don't have much to hit him with since my fighting type is weak to 4 of his pokémon and I can't even hit Clefable super effectively. Therefore, I might remove half my team if it means i struggle less. Here is the team: Incineroar LVL 48, Hasty Nature. Intimidate. Double Kick, Flamethrower, Leer (trying to get rid of), Darkest Lariat. Hariyama LVL 47, Docile Nature. Guts. Force Palm (here so I don't have only 5 PP on STAB), Close Combat, Knock Off, Fake Out. Cherrim LVL 46, Timid Nature. Flower Gift. Petal Dance, Leech Seed, Morning Sun, Sunny Day. Pachirisu LVL 46, Mild Nature. Pickup. Nuzzle, Super Fang, Discharge, Charm. Donphan LVL 46, Brave Nature. Sand Veil. Earthquake, Rollout, Flail, Rock Smash. Shiny Fearow LVL 47, Naive Nature. Sniper. Focus Energy, Roost, Drill Peck, Drill Run. Incineroar is just as good as ever. Haryiama is starting to feel bad but still helps a lot. Cherrim... sometimes helps with Sun (which, if raining, cancels whatever terrain with Rainbow, saved me during Tiki fight), Flower Gift or Leech. Pachirisu is becoming slow, but Nuzzle can cheese certain bosses. Donphan is really strong when EQ is neutral but otherwise is just a meh wall. And Fearow is starting to lack in power. The only good-ish thing I have on my box is a shiny alolan Diglett. I know where to grind, but not where to find new team members.
  2. Thanks for the help, I managed to win first try after strengthening my team!
  3. Ty for the help, but I need to know what is a good place to grind the team members to a suitable level. The wild pokemon keep knocking my weaker team members out and barely give enough exp.
  4. I picked Litten as my starter because I figured that 1- it was an unique pick 2- Intimidate would help a lot, and so far it did. Well, until this battle that is. I'm doing a blind-ish playthrough so I had no idea there were actually 2 Corey paths, and as I couldn't find the dead officer because I thought it was a Growlithe encounter (I had found the other 4), I ended up with the regular fight. Now Corey is kicking my butt. My team is the following: (Garfield) Torracat Level 30, Hasty Nature. Intimidate. Fire Fang, Double Kick, Bite and Leer. (Pretty much carries me through some battles) (Berri) Cherubi Level 24 (will evolve in 1 level), Timid Nature. Chlorophyll. Leech Seed, Morning Sun, Sunny Day, Magical Leaf. (Leech Seed and Sunny Day support for doubles, completely dismantled the Taka + ZEL fight) (Cake O' Deth) Swirlix Level 25, Naive Nature. Unburden. Fairy Wind, Fake Tears, Endeavor, Round. (Endeavor completely cheeses PULSEs, and fake tears allows for some niche wallbreaking) (Quackers) Ducklett (egg) Level 22, Calm Nature. Big Pecks. Aerial Ace, Bubble Beam, Mirror Move, Defog. (Insert 'Useless! Useless! Useless!' here) (Smacc) Haryiama Level 26, Docile Nature. Guts. Force Palm, Fake Out, Knock Off, Belly Drum. (Haven't tried Belly Drum yet, but breaks whatever is weak to it pretty easily) (CHAMP) Pachirisu Level 5 (Cut slave, pickup, placeholder member. Screw HMs.) The team is EXTREMELY weak and doesn't have any synergy at all, but that's because I have no clue of what I'm doing. I don't know where to find actually good Pokémon and when I do, I don't know where to grind. My whole team faints before his SKUNTANK. I cannot beat Mareanie either. I can't even imagine how hard his damn Crobat would sweep my team. I'd love to remove the stupid corrosive terrain but apparently it only goes away if you use Seed Flare (lol Shaymin isn't even obtainable) or if you use a move like Mist (and even then its for 3-5 turns). Field effects feel very unfair, even if you know exactly what you're doing you can't even remove them properly or use them to your advantage since the Pokémon you're fighting usually resist the bonus damage. So yeah, please help.
  5. I'm starting off my playthrough blind but I'm not really sure if I should go for Speed Boost Torchic or Protean Froakie. I'd pick the latter if TMs like Ice Beam are of easy access and the former if they're not. (edit: maybe also litten due to intimidate)
