  1. Yeah... I can't fathom how anyone thought that scene was fine as is. Even if we assume that all trainers have been defeated (Aelita had just woken up), Delpha is literally standing right there. Also, why did Clear and Kieran leave the base to confront the group earlier? Isn't their goal right down there, and by leaving they're informing their enemies of the Ligosomnia machine's location? It's a very strange scene considering the game justifies your allies' lack of help in other scenes (Venam being out of Pokemon on Valor Mountain, and Regirock blocking Melia and Cella from reaching Vivian). There are other instances of it as well, but the player usually ends up winning anyway, so it doesn't really matter as much (even though it's still annoying)

I'm expecting Madelis to die. The story has been leading up to her redemption arc and I think her dying while sabotazing the Xenpurgis in some way so that it is beatable would be cool.

I can definitely see it. I'm definitely expecting Team Xen to split apart during this chapter. Given what we currently know, I don't see Nastasia, Neved, and Madelis being fully on board with the Xenpurgis. This will likely lead into the final confrontation with Madame X/Team Xen at Blacksteeple, or that other castle close to it. While I can see some Xen Admins surviving, Madelis is not among them. There's also more going on with Nastasia, given that it seems apparent that she was the one tipped off by the storm chasers about the S.S Oceana.

  3. As in, what do you think will/hope happen or be added/changed? Both in terms of story and gameplay-wise? I know it's a little too soon to speculate on this, considering the devs are probably still on break, but I thought it'd be interesting what everyone else thinks. I was inspired to make this post by this reddit comment that went into great depths to speculate about the V14 story content, and I can see some of it happening: https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonRejuvenation/comments/18k4l32/comment/kdrsfio/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3.

In terms of gameplay, I assume we'll be getting at least a couple of new Aevian forms, especially considering how scant they are in the early game. Considering Iron Moth is already in the game, we can probably expect at least some Gen 9 mons to make it into V14 (I recall Jan stating that Gen 9 was planned for V15 at some point, maybe that was changed). We're absolutely getting more Crests as well. I'm also expecting the last few non-legendary, non-Gen 9 mons to be made accessible. I hope we get an overhaul to how impactful side quest karma is in determing Bad Ending points, as engaging too much in that can screw you over in that regard.

In terms of story, I assume the Xen HQ will fail and the Xenpurgis will be released. Given how character-focused the Karma files were, I expect at least one character to die during this chapter (in Paragon anyway, a lot more in Renegade). I expect we'll get at least some answers on the nature of Team Xen during the raid (not sure it'll be all that satisfying at this point though), but everything regarding Vitus/Madame X/everything else will be left for V15 or later. Naturally, it's safe to assume that any earlier content will not be changed in any major way until completion, if ever; if we do, it'll be relegated to minor dialogue changes/corrections. I would hope some major changes would be instituted in this area, to make the many plot threads more cohesive and better paced—but again, unlikely for now. What are y'all's thought's on the matter?

  4. Completing quests will indeed net you karma, but karma alone is only one of three factors which contributes to the variable necessary to reach the Renegade Route (along with Relationship Points and Key Choices). In theory, you could max out your karma and still get Renegade Route, provided you get sufficient Bad Ending points from the other two. However, you might cut it close if you do too many quests or are not as efficient in the other two categories. Regardless, I don't think you'll run into much trouble if you're only completing the ones that grant you pokemon.

If this is the case as stated and not some sort of long term plan in the works, why are they not pursuing Nim with the same vigor that they show in chasing down Melia? If you wanted to recreate Storm-9, wouldn't it make sense to either recruit or capture the current incarnation of that same power? The closest thing I have seen so far is Clear-cent convincing her to become Lorna.

It is unclear if Nim is required to recreate Storm-9, as she didn't exist when the first one was created, so I'm not sure about that. I'm assuming she will have some more involvement in the story, so this remains to be seen.

    4 hours ago, Mythril said:

They didn't know about the other 3 Archetype holders. Wouldn't they want/need the whole thing and not just a piece of it? Not even Melia had any idea she had siblings until GDC.

This is true, although given that Melia was able to restore the core in the Ruined Timeline by herself, it is also unclear if Team Xen requires the full Archetype. I do think you are correct in your assessment that they were unaware of the existence of Alice, Allen, and Erin.

    4 hours ago, Mythril said:

They didn't show any real interest in Aelita, and if they want to recreate Storm-9 why not make sure history couldn't repeat itself by capturing the reincarnation of the soul that stopped it from completing it's goal the first time around?

I don't think there's any point to this, since I suppose the sacrificial spell would have to be done once more for it to mess with their plans. Furthermore, since Clear is behind most of the events of Where Love Lies, it seems to me that Aelita might be important for something they're planning.

    4 hours ago, Mythril said:

It seems to me that their are quite a few holes in their knowledge as well, either that or they are displaying an unprecedented level of arrogance in assuming their plans will work. Honestly with Madam X's personality, it could be going either way there.

That is correct. I do recall that Melanie tells Melia that whoever told her about overlapping (Madame X) likely didn't know that it would cause her to be absorbed into her subconsciousness. So it does remain to be seen where they are getting their information from, because even though they seem to know about Karma, the Archetype, the Old Earth, etc. There are some minute details that they seem to be lacking. There will likely be some reveal regarding this in the future. I am interested in seeing how the devs will try to explain all this, since Madame X can time travel using the time diamond, it appears inconceivable that she'd be missing all these facts. Although considering she was aware about Maria's existence in whatever reality the prologue takes place, they might have assumed that Melia was this version's Maria, and therefore was an only child.

Another thing neither of us mentioned would be their relationship to the old Team Xen, the one lead by Lord Xenadin in the Miera region. I myself am completely clueless regarding how they fit into this, that said, I would not be surprised if Lord Xenadin was Vitus, especially considering that Team Xen follows the whole Yveltal aesthetic (that could very well be something from the new Team Xen though).

  6. Personally, I wouldn't go as far as saying that Team Xen is made up of people from different iterations of the world. As Gediel points out, it seems very far-fetched to believe that the admins are from a different iteration, considering that side content matches too well with their stories for them to be from a different world (such as Neved with Maman and Jenner with a ton of other characters). I do think Madame X is from a different iteration, as Clear and Kieran state that their creator originates from another world (and since they work for Madame X, I think it's safe to assume she played a role in creating them). There is also the abandoned house from the intro, which clearly shows an alternate version of Maria (since Anathea's cause of death is completely different from that established in Chapter 9), where Madame X shows herself, indicating she has access to alternate versions of the world.

I think the more likely situation is that Madame X is utilizing the same tactic that Tiempa and Spacea utilized, wherein they save people fated to die in exchange for aiding them towards a certain goal. This is supported by Matthew's journal, which indicates that Jenner, a Maddy (Madelis), and a Cass (Cassandra) were caught in the Gearen Fire, and thought them dead, only to see them completely unscathed later. Coincidentally, we know that all of them worked for Team Xen (along with the fact that the soul stone did not pick up Jenner's soul up at Valor, and I think the game makes reference to this at some point). It is completely possible that the Team Xen erasure we have been seeing is the same as the bright light that the Storm Chasers saw before dying. This is all corroborated by the fact that something weird is up with the Xen grunts, as Sharon at some points says something along the lines of "wishing she was left as she was before". The game also establishes that Madame X can travel through time with the time diamond, so it would make sense for her to pull stuff like this. This could also imply that a similar fate might have befallen the rest of the admins at some point (perhaps Geara was fated to die in the Wispy Tower fire, for instance).

On Team Xen's purpose as a whole, that's still hard to pinpoint. We know the following:

1.) Team Xen seeks the Archetype

2.) Madame X despises Vitus (as shown by her actions in the ruined timeline and the intro)

3.) If what Rune and the Space Hags mention is correct, they seek to recreate Storm-9

4.) The admins all seek goals that seem farfetched given the circumstances

5.) Team Xen possesses extremely intricate knowledge regarding the nature of the world

Due to these factors, I think that Team Xen's and particularly Madame X's goal, would be something akin to achieving a perfect ending for the world. They would do this by using Storm-9 to force the world into it's wilting state, forcing Karma to abandon it (and possibly allowing Team Xen/Madame X to escape to the next one), and then use the Archetype to achieve the desired fates that both Madame X and the admins seek, in a fresh version of the world. Thus preventing Vitus from leading the world to a devastated state, like he seems to do across a plethora of realities (Ruined Timeline, Chapter 3's Timeline, etc.). It is possible that Team Xen views the current iteration of the world that the game takes place in as being imperfect, and that's why they seek to destroy it, in order to bring upon a new, better one afterwards using the Archetype's power. This would reconcile their goal of recreating Storm-9 (maybe with the energy garnered from people dying, as Neved seems to indicate exists in Chapter 5, through the Xenpurgis) with Madame X's apparent dislike for the Ruined Timeline and Vitus. Of course, this still leaves plenty of questions unanswered, such as: the nature of the green gems that grunts carry, Clear and Kieran's implied status as Interceptors (by the chess board in the Dream World), and the possible existence of a third Interceptor in Team Xen's side (could possibly be indicative of Renegade MC imo).

  7. While it is possible for "the one who shattered the world" to refer to Variya, the statement made by Karma in the ruined world portion of the Renegade Route leads me to think otherwise. In it, Karma blames the situation that has befallen upon the world on "the one who shattered this world, the one who shatters all worlds". This cannot be Variya unless it's some AI version of her that went rogue or something silly like that, since this would go against her stated goals. There's also the unlikely possibility that Melia and Karma are referring to two different people, but considering they are both referred to with feminine pronouns, I am going to assume this is not the case. In my opinion, it probably refers to Madame X, seeing that as far as we know, Team Xen's goal seems to be to destroy/reset the current iteration of the world in some capacity. We also know from Chapter 12 that she has been spying on the characters during their time in the past, so it would not be surprising if she was doing so here as well.

3rd: this place. Where is this, it seems a lot of the safari-zone exclusive mons from v13 are said to be there but from what I've explored it's not anywhere accesible from route 6 nor Helojak.

I'm pretty sure this one is simply a leftover from the previous version, and is thereby not an actual location. If you're looking for a Kangaskhan, they can be found in the grass in Magrodar Crater. I hope this gets fixed in a future version.

Yeah the whole give all characters spotlight thing feels like a sidequest and I think it would have worked better as one.

Also by story split do you mean Paragon and Renegade?

Yes, I'm referring to the point slightly prior to the divergence into either route. Sort of like how the "Terajuma" password works currently.

  10. I agree with some of the previous complaints in regard to the new content. The Paragon Route felt quite weak due to its disjointed attempts at giving all the characters their spotlight. I think most of the chapter should've focused on building up to the confrontation with Space and Tiempa instead. I feel like it was a huge missed opportunity for it to not focus on the MC and Crescent, as she's still a character shrouded in mystery. On the other hand, the Renegade Route was awesome. It definitely benefited from focusing on the MC and M2, while having the other characters revolve around them. The series of events felt more natural that way rather than the contrived plot point of having to hang out with the other characters to learn about Adrest's files. M2 is also an extremely fun character, and is probably among my favorites as of now. Ultimately, the Paragon Route ends up feeling like a lot of mini-arcs mashed together, which could've been relegated to side quests instead.

In regards to the game's decision to engage in meta commentary with the whole Karma stuff, while I'm not entirely opposed to the idea, I'm afraid the game will use it as an excuse to waive away inconsistent/unexplainable events, motivations, and/or other occurrences. It currently seems like it does this with M2's and Melia's unexplainable switch, and as well with the MC and Melia escaping Spacea's attack (Although I may be missing something here).

Furthermore, the game should definitely add some sort of password that lets the player skip to the story split. It is unacceptable that the game does not have such a feature when it is clear that both routes are required to have a full understanding of what is going on. Aside from such grievances, I greatly enjoyed the update and most of changes made to prior content were for the better.

  11. I'd like to start by commending the devs for the time and effort put into the project, it takes a lot of commitment to develop a game of this quality. Overall, playing through the game was an enjoyable experience, and my opinion of the game is overwhelmingly positive, with only a couple grievances (mostly minor) with it. As the title suggests, this post will contain spoilers for the whole game.

    STORY

    Spoiler

This version brought about a few changes to earlier segments of the story, as well as a new chapter. The early changes massively improved the story. Scarlett's turn to Team Crescent was fleshed on upon, making it feel more natural rather than the haphazardly slap dashed portrayal in previous versions. Shiv is portrayed as more shady and untrustworthy when compared to Nova, making the decision more difficult than in E5. Nova's role in the Kuiki fiasco brings clarity to some events. Baron's introduction was rewritten for the better imo. The ship segment now presents more improved character-fleshing dialogue. Scarlett's sacrifice makes more sense than in previous versions. Hardy's motivations are clarified, etc. Overall, all the changes I took notice of were definitely for the better.

However, I still have a couple problems with how some moments are presented. In my opinion, the story's first arc still seems very disconnected from the rest of the story. Currently, it's purpose is relegated to introducing us to Shiv and developing Connor. While this doesn't make it bad, it's a shame a meaningful aftermath to the arc is nonexistent in the grander story. Secondly, the cloud platform scene is still in need of improvement. Ava jumping off the platform is slap dash and seemingly goes against her characterization, as I have no doubt she would've faced Baron (especially since she's no longer at a disadvantage) instead of abandoning the MC; both character's survival are also not given much of an explanation aside from having to do with the grid. Lastly, this may just be me, but I still find the ordeal with Shiv, Aurora, and Nova to be confusing even after the Darkrai reveal. As in, I can't seem to figure out if either some (and if so which ones) or none of the journal entries/flashbacks related to them are genuine or fabrications. This may be something that is expanded upon in future episodes but the idea of everything we learned about Nova and Shiv being made irrelevant by the reveal does not sit well with me.

When it comes to new E6 content, the update did not disappoint. The insight given into Perfection was interesting to learn and a welcome addition, considering how little we knew about it previously. I liked seeing Crescent back in action considering they lost relevance since arriving in Cellia. I loved the portion that focused on finding Tristan in the waterscape. Waldenhall makes a good antagonist and I'm excited to see how his deterioration affects both his character and the story. Overall, this episode clearly focuses on setting up the story towards an eventful final act, and I'm thrilled to see how it plays out. My only (minor) complaint would be that the story structure feels like it harms the pacing of game's gym aspect, since the time between Garret's and Reeve's battles feels massive imo (especially since Aaron and Garret are nearly fought back to back already). I know it'd be hard to justify any future changes to this considering that at this point in the story, devoting time to the pokemon league over prioritizing stopping the antagonists already seems unnatural.

    GAMEPLAY

    Spoiler

Just like in the story, E6 had some massive improvements in it's gameplay. After playing E5, I was of the opinion that despite the interesting story, replaying would be painful due to certain design choices. I'm so glad to see that has changed. The Jinx scent is an incredible addition to the game, as it single-handedly trivializes any annoying/long mapping the game might have. The quest log, while not being as descriptive as I might have liked, is still essential to keeping track of the game's numerous side quests. As always, the credit system is a nifty way of incentivizing side quests and I generally like the current implementation.

The most welcome change in this update, however, are the changes to battle balance. In E5, some of the gym leaders were absolute monsters (Aderyn), while others were jokes (Aaron, Garrett). I'm happy that the team has found a more consistent difficulty level this version. Another key addition this version was the password system from Reborn. While the system is not as robust as Reborn's, the current selection contains the most significant ones. I'm sure these will be further developed in future versions. Lastly, the game added Gen 8 pokemon. I love having higher pokemon variety, so this addition greatly welcomed.

One of my complaints in regards to these, would be the hoverboard. I simply think that it is currently introduced too late into the game, and it's addition would've been much more welcome earlier considering the amount of backtracking some quests require. Regardless, this issue may become less noticeable in the future when there's much more content following it's acquisition. Secondly, the waterscape, while being a huge addition to the dreamscape map-wise, is quite lacking gameplay-wise aside from the brief story content and the couple of quests that take place here. I would love if a future update expanded upon it to justify it's massive size, as currently I don't see much reason for it being so big and lengthy to traverse.

    GRAPHICS

    Spoiler

Naturally, there were plenty of graphical improvements in this version. The character sprites have come a long way since the early version of the game, and these have been critical in increasing both my enjoyment and immersion. The sprites are all consistently great, so I don't take any issues there. As always, the custom shinies are awesome, and while I am not the biggest fan of the increased rates, it's not something that would detract from my enjoyment of the game. In addition, the new billboards were cool and added more character to the cities where they appeared. Cellia East looks fantastic and is my favorite map design in the game.

My only grievance with the game graphically would be the route designs. While these are not frustrating to traverse (as they were in E5), they tend to share many common elements with each other. This makes each of them less unique and thereby, not all that memorable in my mind. While this is not a huge issue, personally, it makes the world less interesting, and it's one of the reasons that makes Rejuvenation so fun to reminisce and traverse through.

    MISCELLANEOUS

    Spoiler

There are a couple final aspects that I want to discuss. Some of the new quests are quite neat, I particularly enjoyed the H-board and Cellia Council quests for a couple of reasons. The first being that I like the branching that occurs within them, giving more agency to the player is definitely something that the game should continue to engage in in the future. Secondly, the inclusion of the Cellia Council is great because it expands upon the world's lore and gives a semblance of a history to Cellia East. I hope the devs engage in additions like these in the future in order to breath more life into the region's individual towns and cities. I also really love the "pieces of" quests, I am particularly fond of puzzles in fan games, so seeing them included in Desolation in any way, shape, or form is a positive for me. I only hope that they eventually lead to either some sort of story significance or cool reward.

Lastly, I wanted to discuss the game's implementation of catchable legendaries. It's definitely a great choice for the game to continue to sprinkle in legendaries throughout the span of the game (within reason) instead of making them all post-game like some other fan games tend to do. It simply makes it feels more naturally to me this way. As always, I enjoy the fact that there is some progression the player has to do to encounter them rather than just randomly stumbling upon them randomly. I have only one minor criticism in regards to the current implementation. It feels weird that Articuno is not immediately catchable after receiving the frozen orb, as to me as a player, receiving it indicates that I was given the green light to encounter it. Therefore, I ended up mildly frustrated when I found out I had to wait an undisclosed amount of time for the cavern where it's found to open up. Regardless, it's not something the devs should prioritize, but something I believe should be prevented in future instances to avoid pointless backtracking.

That wouldnt make sense either. Because of Reborn and Rejuv Sylvally quests (we also know that Reborn happened some time before Rejuv) we know that events of Sun/Moon happened in the past. Lunala is an ancient pokemon from long ago in it's pokedex entry too, and it comes from another world if im not mistaken. So unless we are rewriting canon and all that this one doesnt make sense. There must be a different type of connection.

Considering Zygarde is a super optional thing and make zero appearances and is not referenced ever in the main story, that is unlikely.

What if the reason there are two garufan civilizations is that the technologically advanced one was from before the world reset? Nancy mentions that the Nymiera in the Zeight is older than the one we know. This can't be true unless the Garufans are older than Nymiera. That would make Lunala from "another world".

Even then, because of the world reset stuff, there is no guarantee that any of the games you mentioned are ocurring in the same version of the world.

Is it not the same game I've found here in the download section?

My bad, the fact that the patches were listed separately led me to believe their contents were not added to the base game. I assume that both downloads are identical and the listed patches were not removed from the site. I believe you should be good without patching the game at all (main menu should say Version 13.0.5 in the lower left corner).

    Good evening everyone,

I've just downloaded the lastest version of Rejuvination for Mac (it's the first time I'm playing it), and the patches v13-0-5.

How exactly should I use the patches? I unzipped the file and in the main folder I've found the folders Data, Graphics and Scripts. I put those folders in the folders with the same name founded in Rejuvination file (when I select "show the content" and inside the Game folder). Have I done the right thing?

The game is starting regularly (I haven't tried to save yet), but I've read that many bugs could occur without those patches, so I wanted to be sure I put them in the right place before starting to play.

    Thank you very much

I'm not sure how to help you with the patching issue you're having. However, if you really want to make sure everything is fine, you could re-download the entire game from the main website at https://www.rejuvenationgame.com/downloads ; as it includes all the patches. Not sure why they didn't do that here.

Fair, but it's still weird that he had it after forgetting about his past. Also, weren't there some stack of boxes in between his portion of the room and the one where the seal was? Both sections also had separate doors.

I don't think this was confirmed. Aelita only mentioned a "she" and she seemed rather terrified of who it was; maybe it was Madame X attempting to fix the timeline?

Alexandra's Crystal was in her family's possession since at least Nymiera. Most likely the travel between Hiyoshi (Nymiera's house) and Sashila (Alexandra's house) actually happens between two instances of the same Crystal lol.

I understand this, but I find it unusual that the Crystal was passed down, yet no one seemed to have accidentally traveled to the past. The Crystals are all placed in convenient locations, always leading to key events, in chronological order. Naturally, Spacea and Tiempa must be setting these up along the MC's path with some purpose in mind; otherwise, there is no reason why the MC's group wasn't send to any other point in time upon activating Nymiera's Crystal (since the present Crystal was not initially utilized in the first place). Overall, I just find it extremely weird how Spacea and Tiempa don't seem to acknowledge that Storm-9's instigator is within walking distance from their base.

Completely true. Knowing this game, however, I'm still expecting an incredibly convoluted last-second plot twist regarding the MC's past adventures; still, Nastasia's call and Erin's skepticism throws me for a loop and makes me hesitate fully accepting this fact.

Maybe that it's not "bad future" so much as Alternate Universe. But I think it was just not followed upon

The issue is that Erin's statement was in the context of the past in general, not only the "bad future". If this conjecture is warranted (it must be, otherwise it likely would'nt have been mentioned), then something must have been amiss in the past. There are quite a few elements that are suspect: the Garufan seal in the Amberette house, Aelita and Erin being "stared at" by someone before being erased, and Anastasia calling Ren while he's in the past. All of the MC's visits to the past seem like ploys by Spacea and Tiempa to prime Melia and the MC to act a certain way; it is especially suspect that Alexandra's family owned a conveniently placed Timesplicer Crystal, yet were oblivious to its capabilities. Perhaps this is all related to the reason Crescent defected. Or maybe I'm just looking too deeply into it.

  18. During Erin's scene with Melia in the Blakeory Atheneaum, Erin asks Melia if they really travelled through time and visited the past. She then asks Melia if she really was sure about it or if she just believed Spacea and Tiempa. From this, she formulates a theory that she refuses to share with Melia. Has this been brought up again in more recent chapters? I can't seem to recall that. What is her theory all about? Any ideas?

  19. This is something that I've been wondering ever seen V13 release; how has this new version affected your opinion on the individual chapters? Which do you currently like and dislike the most?

Personally, my favorite is Chapter 3. The inciting incident is much better than the previous one, the puzzles are much better, and introduces many hints and references to future events (such as the statues of Anju and Vivian, the robotic Tangrowth, and the Dusknoirs relation to Indriads/Sirius's experiments with the Den of Souls, among others). The MC's relationship to Marianette was done much better; overall, this is an ideal standard for future chapters, in my opinion.

My least favorite is Chapter 11. This chapter marked the point where character bloat began bothering me. It is mostly set up and sets the future precedent of giving trivial characters too much of the player's time. It gets better when the Nightmare City stuff occurs, but it was too slow up to that point. In addition, from this chapter on the game begins juggling too many subplots at once, oftentimes leading to getting sidetracked.

  20. V13 was a pretty good update. As always, I still think excessive dialogue about trivial matters becomes an issue after Chapter 9 (SEC can talk as much as he wants, though). This new update still hasn't sold me on Kanon's, Venam's, Reina's, Huey's, and Lavender's amount of screen time, but at least other improvements were made. The game also looks much better now. I thought there was limited room for improvement, but this update absolutely blew me away in this regard.

The changes to the old content were the best part for me. I now adore the entirety of Chapter 3 (puzzles included); I think it might be my favorite chapter now. I especially loved the foreshadowing was added in. There were expansive changes in dialogue that improved my impression of the story for the better. Chapter 12 was another outlier for me; in V12, the whole ruined timeline event didn't sit well with me because it was treated very seriously despite the ridiculousness of the situation, so I liked that it was treated more lightheartedly in this version. The update also added a couple more side quests, and these tend to be among my favorite parts of the game.

The new content was fine. Angie's return was very underwhelming, and had minimal impact on the story, so I'm not sure why exactly she had to return at all (TBH, we'll probably find out later). On the other hand, the pearl route was very insightful to the game's lore, so it was probably my favorite route. I'm a bit mixed on the platinum route. It had some fun moments but the school sections dragged on a little too long, gaining very little new information along the way. After converging, the rest of the route is solid. Lastly, this is apparently the end of the story's 2nd act; hopefully this means that questions will solely be answered, instead of raised, from now on.

I was initially frustrated with some of the balance changes, but the subsequent patches fixed most of my issues with it. I only play in "normal" mode though, so I can see why intense mode players may find the lack of end-game items to be so disappointing. Hopefully they'll be added as side quest rewards in the future.

Ultimately, there are varying conflicting opinions among the community regarding the changes made in this update. I bid the developers luck in finding ways to continue improving the game, while finding ways to satisfy as many people as possible.

    1) Madame X is almost certainly a woman. Her voice is obviously fitting for a woman as no one made a remark about it, her outfit is very... feminine, as well as her sprite show very long hair. That completely rules out Madame X being a son of Nymiera and Vitus (assuming they were people in that legend) that seemingly died in the First War.
    2) She wears a mask. No matter the medium, there is only one justifiable reason for a villain to wear a mask: to hide a face. Meaning either us, the player, or characters would immediately recognize the person under the mask. I personally respect Jan's writing skills, so this completely rules out a possibility of it being a person we never met.
    3) Madam X is a remarkably strong combatant without pokemon, as well as her signature pokemon pretty much being an Yveltal, who clearly got some connection to Vitus-Indriad (see picture). It had 3 major appearances: Blacksteeple castle alongside Madame X, ruined future alongside Melanie, and as a witness of 2 people's apparent death's: Taelia and Nora.
    4) Her mother died protecting her, either directly or indirectly. This is an important point that can be twisted several ways.
    5) We can sort of make out her appearance from the moment Sakitron broke her helmet. She's got considerably long straight black hair and kind of a normal skin colour. I might be colourblind, but to me it looks much lighter than the whole Sashila people thing, as well as Nymiera or Alexandra.
    6) IIRC, please correct me if im wrong, time crystal protects it's owner from overlapping with it's counterpart in the same time. Thus if her past self is alive in this main timeline or not is irrelevant.

As I've stated before, the individual with the closest matching skin color (that I have found) would be Amber/Deagan. Assuming a stupid twist does not occur (such as Madame X being an entirely new character), I believe Madame X to be someone in the Deagan/Kenneth family. I think Madame X being Amber would make sense, as it would match the criteria, and Tesla is an established mother who would be willing to sacrifice herself for others. Also, the game has continued to give Amber more screen time despite her irrelevance to the story (although that can also be said about a few characters). Regardless, the hair could be dyed; was Nora's skin color similar to Madame X's? I can't seem to recall that.
