  1. So with all the talk on main files mid-game being potentially scuffed if used in e19, I'm going to keep my entire e18 installation backed up so I can train up my preferred team there before I put the save in 19. I'm just after the GG on my main, so there's a bit of work left. I'd say, if you're nervous about potential mid-game scuff, install e19 separate from older versions, and back those older versions up. Also, find the location of your saves folder and back up your saves there. Chances are e19 may 'claim' saves, so to keep your saves for e18 until AFTER Hardy's gym.

I'm no expert, this is just what I'm personally going to do. As much as I'd love to charge into late-e19 like everybody else, there's still 18 episodes to finish chewing through for some of us who just aren't confident.

I'm excited! I just hope the passwords and things like Randomizer are available pre-Champ. And, knowing this game, we most likey ain't gettin' even one Legend pre-champ aside from what we already have, so I'm prepping my team fully in advance.

  2. The new Agent is already giving me KH Luxord flashbacks with the way they hold those cards. I am NOT looking forwards to that.

Other hand, having a new makeover of some early-game areas is just amazing. You all didn't have to do that, but you did, and that's bloody amazing!

  3. I enjoy Reborn for the fact that (aside from the big bads), it stays loyal to each Pokemon's official stats and movesets. Giving early 'Mons different movesets, while that seems nice, kinda defeats that core-series loyalty to me. I'm glad it sounds like that is not going to be the case (adding/altering movesets and stats, I mean), and I REALLY appreciate having that slightly wider Pokemon variety at the start.

Also I'm SO glad to see the implementation of the EXP candy, and the poweritem buffs. That makes it to where players unfamiliar with competitive teambuilding actually have a chance to reliably build a team that they are comfortable with quicker, which in turn helps keep favored teams in rotation. That'll def help out newer players, and I think will be pretty welcomed by veterans, too.

Man, I can't wait for 19 to drop. It's gonna be a whole new ballgame.

  4. Welp, time to fudge about trying to get the modbox to work with the new version again. Y you do this?

(As a guy who mods the crap outta games, i understand script issues all too well lol.)

  5. Random items would be fun... imagine finding a wild Rattata holding a PULSE or a key item. THAT'S my favorite type of game-breaking random run! (I know random items is probs gonna be limited to held items, berries, and heal-ants, but a no-holds-barred full random item run would be LEGIT.)

  6. Where do you get the patch?! I NEED to try this, it's my dream come true!

EDIT: Found the patch! It's amazing! I feel like the game just got a full revamp. I'm now walking around on a fresh file with a Popplio Rayquaza that has Sketch and Sonic Boom. And, fun note, Fern had a Prankster Murkrow with D-Bond. Not fun.... but AWESOME.)

  7. As one of the players who finds the game quite difficult naturally, I'm happy there's gonna be a few options available to soften up things. I'm a fan of challenge, but I don't like being stuck on a single battle for what can be days at a time. Sure, after the first run you can predict things, but even still it's not easy. I'm in it for the story, the fights should reflect that. The story's NOT a grindfest, and this'll help make it easier to experience said story without wasting time training.

I'm REALLY looking forward to 19. So much stuff, it's gonna revamp everything.

  8. Well, R.I.P. the viability of Fling with the reduced Iron Ball drops, but three cheers for the early access to Honchkrow and the like! Shame there won't be the later fossils, but hey, beggars can't be choosers.

Early Dusk Stones are what'll carry me.
