  1. Hey folks, development is pretty slow at the moment and probably will be for a while, but I do have something I can show off, namely the Rainbow Pokémon you will be facing in Arc 3! (and maybe even catch one day...)

  2. Thank you so much for your feedback, I'm glad you're enjoying it! All the errors that I could figure out immediately are fixed. Your suggestions are very helpful, and I'm probably going to implement most of them.

    This one kind of confuses me because I don't think I editet the code for the Yellow Flute at all from the Reborn base. Did you try any of the other flutes, and if so, did they work as intended?

    I absolutely agree, and I'll definitely do something about it. Maybe even a key item that acts as a permanent Repel you can toggle whenever you want.

    I just did the puzzle again, and it seemed to work without any issues. You need to talk to them in order and then not talk to any of the others. I'll probably add a text that says something happens to make it clear, but after touching all five statues in the proper order, a door opens next to the original statue.

    There's no sidequest to be had there, she's a character that's gonna become relevant to the main story in the future but doesn't have a particularly big role so far.

    That Oddish is actually just a regular green Oddish, and is not obtainable at the moment! I get how this one could be confusing if the sprite isn't visible.

    Yes, Violet is taking a break from her Arc Angel duties after the events of Arc 1, which means Mauve is temporarily stepping in.

    Ah, I'm sorry, I fixed that for the ghost battle before, but apparently I forgot it for the Mauve battle. If you send me your save file, I can bring you out of there.

    This one has nothing to do with an obedience, actually! You may not have noticed it with the starters, but Rainbow Pokémon need to get used to you before they trust you enough to follow commands (Meaning they need to be above a certain level of friendship before they start obeying you).

    Thank you very much! I would definitely not call myself a great sprite artist either, so I'm hoping to eventually find someone who can improve upon the stuff I made. I've been working on it on and off for quite a while, so I'm not really at risk of overworking at the moment, even if it's mostly just me for now.

    Features:

    - Two playable Arcs with multiple hours of content!

    - Certain Pokémon have Rainbow forms with new, powerful abilities and Rainbow typing!

    - Quality of Life features like a portable box system and a machine that makes eggs hatch instantly!

    - Tons of sidequests and hidden places that let you explore the Prisma Region as deeply as you wish!

    - The Prisma Region does not have gym leaders. Instead, the equivalent are seven Arc Angels,

    which have teams focusing on a color instead of a type!

    - HMs are no longer necessary! Instead, an assortment of other moves or abilities

    Thanks to the through reporting of the people playing through the game, I've fixed a ton of little bugs 

    and text errors. Some visuals have also been slightly updated. The download link will now give you the updated version.

    If you only want the parts that have been updated, you can use this download link, which only contains the folders that 

    were modified.

  8. Here's another round of these. 

    - Corrosive Mist Seed gives an error (opponent.canPoison instead of battler.canPoison)
    - Defiant activates twice on swamp (Competitive too, presumably) (Applies both online and offline)
    - Regular Burn damage is 1/8 of total hp instead of 1/16 in online battles
    - Inferno Overdrive burns fields like Grassy Terrain and Flower Garden, even during Rain / Water Sport
    - Ice Body does not activate on Snowy Mountain

    Turns out one of the newer fixes broke how Alolan forms work, the current download should now import them properly again.

    You will receive them just like any other gifted Pokemon, which means you get the choice to either put them into your party or deposit them in the PC and also get the opportunity to give them a nickname if you haven't done so already in your import file. Also, thanks for catching the cut-off sentence. It's fixed now.

  11. So, I've been doing a fair bit of online battling in Reborn, and at some point, it became too tedious for me to debug in every individual Pokemon for all those teams. Which is why I made this mod for lazy people which makes it possible to port over teams from the Pokemon Showdown team builder more or less directly into your Reborn game. The mod should be compatible with both the Game and Game-z versions of Reborn. 

     

    Download: ShowdownImport.rb

     

    How it works:

    - Put the file into your Mods folder. If you don't have a Mods folder yet, go into the Data folder of your game, and create a new folder called "Mods".

    - Make a team on Showdown, then click the Import / Export button to get the team in text form.

    - Create a new text file, paste your team into it and save it in your Reborn folder as "import.txt"

    - Open your pause menu and select the "Import Team" option. You will now receive all the Pokemon your text file defines.

     

    However, since the way Showdown and Reborn handle some aspects of Pokemon are pretty different, there's a few things you have to keep in mind when creating your team. If you don't follow these restrictions, your game is most likely going to crash without importing the team, so try to avoid them.

    What not to do:

    - These are the things your Pokemon needs to have to be accepted by the Importer: An item, an ability, a nature, EVs and four moves. Everything else is optional but will still be accepted (Level, Gender, Shininess etc.).

    - If your Pokemon has a changeable form (Mega evolution, Silvally forms, Rotom forms), do not put the specific form into your team, but rather the base form. (Silvally-Psychic becomes Silvally, Alakazam-Mega becomes Alakazam, etc.). Alolan forms however work fine, and the same thing applies to unchangeable forms that have a notable effect on the Pokemon (which is just Lycanroc so far). These can be kept in their alternate form without issue.

    - Specifying a type for Hidden Power does not work at the moment. Just leave it on automatic type and set the IVs for the Hidden Power you want.

    - Certain items exist in Showdown but not in Reborn and vice versa. You can still keep them in your team, but they will be changed upon importing:

      - Electric Seed becomes Synthetic Seed

      - Grassy Seed becomes Telluric Seed

      - Misty Seed becomes Magical Seed

      - Psychic Seed becomes Elemental Seed

      - Terrain Extender becomes Amplifield Rock 

     

    Some other quirks of the Importer: 

    - Happiness is set to max automatically.

    - Importing Z-Crystals will not give you an error, but the imported Z-Crystal will not work. Instead, you need to apply them from the bag like usual.

     

    If you get an error message while importing your team, make sure that your text file follows the rules above. If it doesn't, you can send me the error message and text file you were trying to import and I can try and figure out what went wrong. Also, this mod is most likely not going to interact well with other mods that modify the pause menu, so if the "Import Team" option doesn't show up at all, make sure you don't have another mod in the folder that changes the pause menu screen in some way. 

     

    Update: Alolan forms should work again, High Jump Kick can now be imported properly.
