Really? Because the wiki says "WARNING it is recommended that you do the Squirtle Special Encounter first as doing this one first disables the being able to still be riding tauros after you black out thus making it impossible to reach squirtle" Can you tell me how do I get the squirtle without the bull?

So I did the beldum event before knowing that was also my only chance to get a squirtle. It's the last starter that I need (except mudkip, but I'm working on that). I don't care about stats or moves or anything. I'd also like a helix fossil if anyone has any to spare (the fossil, not omanyte). I've mined every rock I can find, and while I'm sure there are more, there can't be that many left. I've never traded in this game before, so I'm not sure what the process is. My pokedex is at 630, I can breed most things as a trade if your interested. Thanks.

Okay, I did everything to reach the gastly inside the shed. I beat the breloom robot, but now I can't catch this stupid thing. I've tried chasing it in circles, running up and down along the side, and chasing while trying to talk to it. Nothing has changed. I've seen tutorial videos where it eventually just starts running around randomly, but this isn't happening for me. It's been 45 minutes and I'm ready to punch a wall. Did the script get changed? Is there a trick I'm missing? Anything that can help I appreciate.
