    Imma probably review this in it's own separate thread who knows, I got a lot to say on it

    Alright, playing through and beating sword I realized how much the animations faded into the background for me, like I don't think people actually care that double kick isn't made to be extravagant. Ik it's a old topic (lazy animation topic not this thread) at this point but man everything about the game completely drowned out a lot of its biggest detractors. I cant believe we went crazy over some tree textures in the wild area. Overall this game was fun af, people should give it a 2nd chance.

    So, who are you?: I'm Haze. I actually found out about the game in like 2013 (don't quote me on that because in my og intro post I gave a different year I think okay back to main paragraph) from a youtube video about fan games and finally got around to playing it around 2016 when my parents bought a decent PC. I didn't end up actually revisiting and finishing to the current point till December 2018 and followed the development somewhat closely ever since. Outside of this I've been on Pokemon Showdown since 2016 under 'Light Haze' and still go on it till this day, and recently I've worked in a grocery for a few months, am excited when projects like this will finally be finished, so I'm looking forward to it. Other than that, there really isn't much to me, I do graphic design and i'm a senior in High School and i'm planning to go to college soon after. I guess I should also mention I played monotype since 2017 and retired from competitive in 2019, looking to come back when I get used to gen 8.

    If you had to choose one of your posts as your way to introduce yourself, which would it be? My first post if I can ever find it, I'll edit this later maybe.

     

    What can I talk to you about? Cats, anime, anime cats. Re:Creators if any other human being watches that, art. Other stuff, I'm just vibin. I don't watch seasonals anymore since I got bored of it but if there's a show I've watched then I'll most likely be interested

     

    Closing statements? I forgot I was writing this at 4:00 am so this'll prob look terrible when I wake up. Other than that, I'm surprised that just last year, I actually made an account and played reborn. It definitely didn't feel like a year has gone by. And let's not get started on day one patches to fix the numerous bugs and glitches that came with that trend.....

     

    I have way more respect for developers who have the guts to say they won't release an unfinished game, even if they have to push back the release date a few times. Unfortunately that is a luxury only available to non-profit fan game developers and indie game developers not bound to any publishers putting pressure on them....

    Blame the publisher for that

    I actually have been thinking about something like this theory with Lin. See with her character, she feels extremely out of place, doing her own thing. Out of every character whether it be Julia or Solaris, Lin doesn’t play by the same rules. She straight up decapitates Ame with after beating her against a mon that is 4x supereffective against her type wise, she sees through all the ruses Sirius puts up at the mountain but doesn’t act on it (partly because of the steelix) and she sends either Samson or Ciel to the shadow realm with no problems whatsoever but always chooses to leave you alive. If you, a character that seemingly has only lost a couple of times such a big threat to her, why has she never acted to eliminate you? She feels so much like an independent party only using meteor for its capabilities so they can do the leg work for her.. I’m probably reading too much into this but it’s intersting to note how many characters know her, yet adult Lin seemingly claims to not* know them, and what reason would she have to lie?

    tbh this is probably going to be black and white all over again, or that panel with Lin would have already occurred within shades gym. Either way this is almost gonna not go as planned as some events happened in the game had suggested. Who knows the e4 might play out normally and we’re overthinking it

There's also the fact Reborn was more of a prototype game to Rejuv so Rejuv has the advantage of seeing the faults and putting fixes to them. I do personally keep a track of mons I haven't used for Redux but sometimes things just don't work and you have to use a basic go to mon instead such as Staraptor.

     

    The game is pretty much done except for post game which might be a year long project in and of itself depending on what Ame does.

    I don't get Florinia's place tho. I feel that the matchup depends on whether you chose a fire starter. Plus, I used to grab a Slugma from the Game Corner for a free kill against some members of her team. Without these two, Florinia is very bulky for early-game.

    There’s a few opportunities to counter Florinia. For instance fury cutter kriketune which can even deal with the likes of cradily

    mm very true. Not to mention the lack of counters you have at your disposal except for maybe a fire starter and some rock type mons which masquerin can already take care of
