  1. Thanks for the responses, I just don't want to go through the game and realize that the way I beat it was not considered legit. It seems like since the game is hard (I'm pretty sure i'm only playing on normal but still) people use whatever they can to win.
  2. I just finished beating Charlotte, but I had to use like five revives. I was just wondering if this kind of "strategy" was looked down on by the community. Do you think I should go back and maybe just train and redo it or what?
  3. Tried it with my same team, just switched torterra with fake out espurr and used the seed on growlithe. I already I see a massive difference! Got to her final pokemon and just barely lost. Thanks so much for all of your help guys!
  4. So the things I should change are: 1. Lvl up to around 35, esp ampharos for power gem. 2. Trade torterra for espur with fakeout 3. Put telluric seed on growlithe (is it a one time use?) 4. Get a flying type (I’ll get a star apt or probably) and replace someone (any ideas?)
  5. I shouldn't teach growlithe flamethrower at level 35 correct? He's a physical attacker after all. I can replace beautifly and get a staraptor. If I use trubbish, toxic spikes won't affect most of her pokemon since they are flying. Finally, what seed should I give to growlithe?
  6. Will rain dance negate the burning field? I have a pansear, trubbish, and mightyena, some others that are super low level as well (id rather just catch new ones).
  7. That's helpful, but will that be enough. Is the field change a strong enough difference to finish her, especially since I feel so far away right now.
  8. I need so much help with this gym leader, I am not even knocking out 3 of her pokemon before I'm out. My current team is: Ampharos lvl. 34: Confuse ray, thunder wave, electro ball, charge beam Growlithe lvl. 33: Flame Burst, Fire fang, retaliate, reversal Torterra lvl: 34: Earthquake, razor leaf, bite, mega drain Raticate lvl: 32: Hyper fang, crunch, sucker punch, cut Beautifly lvl: 33: Silver wind, whirlwind, giga drain, air cutter Graveler lvl: 32: Stealth rock, smack down, bulldoze, self destruct I have looked at other guides online. I will make sure to lvl ampharos to 35 to learn power gem and get her back down, but that obviously won't be enough. The rain dance keeps my growlithe from flame bursting the field, my graveler and beautifly pretty much get one shot, and torterra can survive a bit, but does not do much damage do to typing. Any advice would be helpful. It's discouraging that I'm not coming anywhere close, and I definitely don't want to start over. Any advice is appreciated!
  9. Thanks so much for the help everyone! I just remembered, I have one more question. In other pokemon games I have played there has usually been some sort of gimmick like if you evolve your pokemon, it takes double the exp to level up. Is there anything like this I should know about in this game?
  10. Thanks so much for the response! My only other question is whether there is an online mode. I assume you can trade and battle with other real players, is this correct?
  11. Hi, I just downloaded the game and have a couple of questions before I get started. 1. Is episode 18 the correct place to start? I assume the "episode" name is just the current update the game is in, not necessarily the 18th episode of the game. 2. I heard the game is hard, but will I have to EV train and get good IV's/Natures on my Pokemon, or can I simply have a diverse team. I don't mind grinding, but I do just want to play casually, I don't really care about PVP. Thanks for the help!
