  1. So thought my Teddiursa quest bugged out since I searched the entire ward and couldn't find it then got clear weather again as I was going to shiny hunt Croagunk and guess who was next to fountain...the one spot I forgot to check last time.

  2. Thanks to the mining kit I actually have money to fix/train my mons correctly. I'll mostly only train a handful of mons at the moment and expand from there.

Here's my starter. He's going to be a mixed attacker later on since he's Naive and has decent IVs.

    Just finished training this girl.

I have never hated EV a rasing Sp. Atk mon before. About an hour into raising it I remembered power ankles and had just enough to buy one from the market cause only Sp. Atk giving mon being an Oddish at the moment.  I plan to use Own Tempo/Petal Dance since I can switch out mid battle.

    I love power braclets/anklets.

So had just enough to fix my little demon bug.

Waiting on Flare Blitz before I evolve her.

  3. K got a few more now. Now that I have a got group of mons of different types I've decided not to hunt one mon per area but I still hunt event mons. I still catch any shiny I see though.

Also tried to hunt down a Sunflora for a trade but guess they're not out during intense sun but I did randomly run into this guy.

So gave Beelzebuzz his nickname as a joke then it evolved into this.

It's not exactly true. All baby pokemons catched in the wild get 3 perfect IVs, legendaries too. And for some reason Corey's Nidorina always has 3 perfect IVs also. But it's not applied to all genderless pokemons. For example beldum, golurk, klinks(plural) I caught didn't have any perfect IVs, these are totally random.

@Nue, I'm guessing Chimchar was your starter? Actually I didn't see shiny chimchar on my playthrough and it looks cool 😄 munma also looks good, but Lotad is my favourite, his hat reminds me of my country flag, colors are exactly the same xD

@zaqrweYep, Chimchar is my starter. Got lucky and it was Naive so going for Mixed. Didn't know about the Baby Pokemon IV thing thought the others I had was cause of them being events.

Lombre is a reference to Miror B from Pokemon XD.

  5. So, BIG UPDATE INCOMING. I know its been days (IRL stuff and Shinies not wanting to having good IVs when I have time to hunt). So, here are all the Shinies I am currently using (EVs are crazy but will be fixed along with natures when I have the money).

    Just caught these guys:

    Static.png.a98eb74cdca58bccce77c5e666211fad.png

Now this one almost had me fall out of my chair. In fact I'll post the catch information just to show I didn't breed it cause I don't know how to hack this game without breaking it (Sorry only have my word so believe me or not).

    Fauxliage.png.149b39b12bdfac3dbf3239cf72a70ae7.png

Here's the catch information. Anyone else gotten this lucky before? (I know its not a very good rock type but MAN these stats).

I had a Bellsprout from the area I caught this guy but I got better one in Onyx with better stats so I rehunted it.

  6. So, rehunted Budew (to fix the Teddy bug that happen in that save) and got this one after about an hour. Got lucky and got a Bold nature one.

So, my Pachirisu picked up Choco Ice Cream so I went to shiny hunt Vanillite and after around two hours of near zero shinies I got this girl.

    I like this Blitzie 😄

Btw, if getting right weather is too much a problem to find various event pokemons, there was a mod pack, and one of them allows you to choose weather.

Well may try it out when my internet speed becomes fast again but I think the Teddirusa quest bugged out so I have to rehunt the Budew I got early since I'm using a backup file and like an idiot didn't save before starting the quest and saved in the middle of it.

    Nice.png

  8. So, here are some new shinies I hunted out.

First is one of my favorite shinies so far, Blitzle. He also goes into the Hall of Consent Failing IVs Just To Waste My Time. He also almost swept Juila but her Plusle had Lightning Rod (My Blitzle only had Shock Wave at the time and I stacked Charge before using it) and Eletrode's Sonicboom hadn't beaten it. The thunderstorm stopped when I put him into the PC since the weather stays the same until you walk into a building and my party was full at the time.

    Lightning.png.a85f1903ced5ba718813e147e2299234.png

Onix, one of the easiest shinies I've gotten in the game so far. He failed speed but I'll just put Gyro Ball on him.

    Geo.png.4886f309dfa753745029894ee09cef82.png

Now the most annoying pokemon I've shiny hunted in the game so far. She's the first shiny I got and I stuck with it since I'll most likely replace her down the line if I need a fairy-type but she's still useful at this stage.

    Pudding.png.e6b5d98ab60a61a1bb85479762c9bead.png

I must have done the puzzle over a hundred times and could most likely do it in my sleep by now but I finally got this shiny.

Just got this in the slums and it passed my IV limit but I feel the RNG gods are still laughing like I did upon seeing it. Still one of the worst Region birds ever.

    LOL.png.161e510e5499a7724958d01c2892ecc8.png

  9. So, I hunted each encounter area before the first gym for one Shiny Pokemon with a decent IV line so I'm not there for days hunting got every shiny I can get in the areas (AKA at least 10 in the attacking defenses speed and hp. But I usually don't mind if they fail an attacking stat they don't use or a Speed stat on a trick room or Gyro Ball user IF I get one in a hunt. EX: A Physical attacker can have zero in its Sp. Attack stat). Basically each place you can get an encounter such as the Alleys and Seacrest's garden.

After about 3 days of shiny hunting all the events and available areas I decided to use these shinies since I feel I can use them later down the line. I have a Woobat cause I count them as static since they respawn when you renter the railnet. Chimchar is my starter and lady luck decided I could have a decent Naive nature one with a amazing stat line for a mixed attacker (I plan on giving him Grass Knot for Swamperts/Ground Types). I honestly just randomly shiny hunted the starters from the ones I really like (Aka mostly Fire starters besides Cyndaquil due to a small movepool and Tepig who I'd honestly make into bacon if could with Rowlet, Snivy Mudkip and Turtwig. and he was the first to show up with busted ivs while all the others had like 3 and 4 in their main attack stat. Pachirisu is there due to Pick-Up (Sigh mine currently has Run Away but that's what Capsules are for).

    870493418_MainTeam.png.7177a84156f42c8d55a10ee1a264bebc.png

These are the other shinies I don't think would be able to stand in higher tier battles BUT feel free to tell me if I'm overlooking something cause I may be forgetting something about them. They all have good stats and I MAY add Trubbish but he has Stench at the moment and would be a pain to grind up since it lowers encounters. I know there will be trainers in the grand hall you can train on so I may add him when I can grind off them instead of wild mons. And just to say I can't stand fishing encounters since I have to disable speed up since they ALWAYS get away when its on so Goldeen was a massive pain to get from the small pool (I honestly wanted Finnion but all the shiny ones I got failed horribly. I'm talking zero across the board).

    Rejects.png.7d085e656407e7c43dcaf71208aade95.png

I know event mons are tied to the weather/Gym Badges and it is currently raining in my game and I have searched EVERYWHERE on the map and haven't found any more yet. But feel free to leave any mons that I may have missed or how to get certain events to trigger if they need something (Someone told me I need honey to find Surkit in the fountain when its raining but I don't know if that's true and I have no honey at the moment).

  10. So, doing a Shiny lock focusing on the Shiny's IVS since I can change the nature later. So I was just resetting the Fire-Type Starters Except Cyndaquil (Love Tyhposion but his moveset is horrible without breeding) and Tepig (I hate this pokemon. I just hate it, I'd make bacon out of it if I could) and finally got a Chimchar with decent IVs but also I usable nature. I was planning to use a Physical Infernape.

Also, just so people know I call it a Shinylocke cause I'm using Shinies only. Its NOT a Nuzlocke. I will most likely breed out some Shinies for their Egg moves (Like Ice Shard Donphan or Ice Crush (Can't think of its name at the moment but most of you should know) Mamoswine.

    1776275456_GoodChimchar.png.660568aaab93c8350d74a8e6fbac62f1.png

If you can't tell its a Naive nature.  I plan on running Adamant or Jolly but may still do a mixed Naive nature if I find Flamethrower (Fire Blasts misses half the time I use it).

    The Moveset I foresee is:

Fire Punch/Flamethrower (Iron Fist boosted Stab)

Close Combat (The big move. I'd rather have it then Flare Blitz since it doesn't have recoil)

Thunder Punch (Iron Fist Boosted. Mostly for Flying or Water types)

I have no clue at the moment but maybe Swords Dance or Grass Knot (This will most likely be a TM move I switch around with needed HMs like Cut/Rock Smash/Strength. Feel free to leave suggestions)

Well after running around for about an hour I finally got a decent Iv line Shiny. To be Honest I got a Shiny Spinark but it had almost zero in every stat but attack.  But then I ran into this girl:

    391770724_FirstTeamMember.png.f5ffade070396008b9f5b25acc773317.png

Its Quiet nature but pretty sure I'll replace it if I come across a better shiny later on cause it only knows WRAP as its attacking move. Sigh why do I feel as if this will be agony to rise.

Oh, forgot to put this also when I first posted but I'm looking for one Shiny an area mostly so I don't spend forever in an area. (Static/Event Mons I just reset till I get Shines.)

Future Moveset if I ever use this:

    Gunk Shot (Stab)

    Fire Fang/Crunch (Steel Types/Psychic Types)

Ice Fang/Earthquake (Ground Types/Pretty sure TM Earthquake isn't in the game yet)

    Coil (Setup)

  11. So, after almost 2 HOURS of hatching Chansey (I may be bias a little cause it takes so long for the eggs to hatch even with Magma Armor and speed up) I finally got this girl. I wanted Natural Cure but I don't care and ability capsules are laying around every other area if I really really need to change it.

    FINALLY.png.97e15302d15bfca9c83a089b2626d325.png

Also got all these guys (with usable nature and eggs moves).

    558465431_ShinySquad.png.66e68bd939290ac48bd57aaaa0aae730.png

Still have mons to hatch out but if anyone knows a good team combo with these let me know. Oh, and I am shiny hatching my Torchic at the moment cause I saw its shiny when I nature farming and I want it. I'll post another pic when I get the others shiny bred out.

  12. So, FINALLY got Ditto, Destiny Knot, and the Day-Care so I started breeding out a group of mons so I have more then 5 good mons in all my box, I actually Shiny hatch the ones I'm breeding for egg moves or better natures, So after almost two hours this morning hatching Cubone for a good IV line with a decent nature I started shiny hatching Tynamo for a better nature then it had (It was Impish with almost perfect ivs) and in the first group while I was nature hunting this guy hatched.

    1219237631_PityShiny.png.e2f65fe1f4dc4a307a9b5dd45bc3af46.png

It was MODEST nature by random nature since I wasn't using the Everstone. I think the game took pity on me since Cubone took so long to get (I still have to take my Butterfree when it gets dark in game and get its Thick Club). I was going to Quiet (And the one that hatched after this one was Quiet but not shiny and there was also a Timid one after it) since I plan on running Drain Punch but I can change its nature later on and Modest is better then its Impish nature was. Currently shiny hatching an Ice Shard Phanpy.

This is something I decided to breed

    aif9cv.png

however I think I am likely going ot redistribute its evs and get its nature changed,

the current set I have on it is moreso a support set with Tailwind, and Baton Pass to pass Power-Up Punch stacks (for when we can actually get that)

but then I realized that a lot of things hit really hard against it specially anyways so I might as well just turn it into a glass cannon sweeper

edit: nvm I decided to come up with a different set aka this one

    scjmsy.png

Focus Punch will hit 4 times in theory that should kill 2 mons if it sets up sub since Focus Punch is a LOT of damage

Wow never seen someone actually using an Ledian before, does its Crest help it in battle?  Honestly I believe Ledian should be part Fighting not Flying.

Good lord, i have a lot of shiny pokemons, but i give up after 1-2h after not getting good IVs(if its an egg, if its just normal encounter tho, ill keep going)

    Just to show few:

    26583fb69020dcd91f98d539a19612c6.png3b848e5138d87196e3fa48c924302e20.pngc5781d17991ca9126761444cdda10e25.pngb160516ba7e4db3038dcf24315136a30.pnge001ace52f885b3de513e5b656184992.png

(dont judge the EVs, i just feel like they need this so they trained it)

I also have almost perfect IV shiny Silvally, only 29 in speed, but its Undiscovered Egg Group so its not that hard.

Wow can't wait till I get to some of these powerhouses but I have  a feeling their far down the road from me at the moment. Kinda going for shiny only event mons for this run but I may hunt up a Geodude or other useful wild mons. Just hoping that my mystery egg this time is not a fire-type cause I'm going to have an Infernape and I really don't like having pokemon with the same type on the team at the same time unless I need them for a boss battle or something.

  15. So I wanted a shiny starter and knowing I could change natures later on I chose to hunt Chimchar since it can use any nature on the chart. All I was looking for was a good IV line to use.  Since it is midnight where I am it took me  3 DAYS of just resetting cause all my shiny Chimchars flat out had zeros in most their stats (Mainly their ATTACK and Sp. Atk). So it was at midnight of day 2 going into 3 that this guy showed up and my jaw was on the floor.

    FINALLY.png.283ed3860662030cf4cca981d85e745e.png

I know it only has 13 in its defenses (Infernape doesn't have any good defense in the first place being a glass cannon) but if you can't tell its ADAMANT with max Attack, good HP (I don't really pay attention to this unless the mon is a tank), and decent speed. Not to mention it has Iron Fist so putting Thunder Punch and Fire Punch on it later.

Share some of your favorite Shinies in this game and where to find them.

decent IVs, great nature. damn thats good. itl help with the first gym being an electric resist. but the problem is after that itl mostly be a hinderance in battles till well...it becomes serperior and gets leaf storm. bug, poison, fighitng, poison again, then ice. Serperior really wont be much of a benefit till the later game sadly. at least from my perspective.

Well like I said I like the shiny though if I run into a better grass type when I can get to the daycare I'll put it onto Rotation then. Usually like to keep my starter in my party but I'll make an exception since this is one of the hardest fan games.

  17. K, so rounded up a lot of event pokemon and can't find anymore. It is raining at the moment in my game so if anyone knows any good encounters feel free to leave them for me. I believe I got a good-rounded team but I'll put this up in case anyone have any tips. My starter is the only nicknamed one due to it being Shiny (I'm aiming for a full shiny team so normal ones have no name since they are filler until I can bred out shinies for the mons that make Rotation).

First up is my Lucky Shiny Modest Snivy (I'll most likely to put him on Rotation if I encounter a better grass-type).

    1256024558_TEAMONE.png.aeeb97f157d6e1e87f892a284393a6c8.png

My male Bold Espurr. I do plan to breed out a male with its HA cause I think screens will come in handy in the future.

    492310097_TEAMTWO.png.f90b8c4854090cea8df1f59a9c3bd0b2.png

My Relaxed Gulpin that took FOREVER to get with good IVs.. Its ability is horrible but after all the time it took to get it I don't care.

    1026755919_TEAMTHREE.png.b1596d4ca1c03b41158e7207ede7354c.png

My Hasty Panpour (I need something for Fire/Grounds).

    565354201_TEAMFOUR.png.7040a988bc5647de966dba1b1ab60489.png

Then Timid Tynamo. I wanted Modest at first but her IVs are amazing. Plus no weaknesses.

    1492923513_TEAMFIVE.png.e9d281b0d9349ec3d0ff036c27f4b42f.png

Then Modest Igglybuff simply cause its a duel type and honestly I'll most likely swap her out as soon as I can get Numel after the first gym.

Florin. First off, you fight him in a Double Battle, which i am spectacularly ba dat without a partner. Second, that f*cking Cradily bodies my team...... my only checks for Grass types are Nidoking and Talonflame, both of which are completely nerfed by the terrain + the constant rain. and my only Steel Type to deal with Cradily is Mawile, who dies long before i can pull an Iron Head off...... i only won when i started ignoring Cradily to attack Florin's other Pokemon then started attacking Cradily when its the only one left

Thx for posting this! I literally had to just fight him and that's how I won the battle! Though in my case Blaziken actually managed to take down his Sceptile with two Flare Blitz while Mawile took out the Cradily with Play Rough (Who thought having a Careful Mawile would be good). Though special thanks goes to my Magical Seed Nasty Plot +1 Raichu and Poison Silvally who took down four of his mons. Silvally was able to tank many hits in order for me to heal Raichu but sadly Sceptile out sped him.

  19. ERICK!

So, I just had to go through the hardest and most annoying battle (Almost of the levels of Valor Summit). Now this battle actually took me almost an hour to get since I spent most the time resetting for my Roserade's Quick Claw to kick in.

So, first time I walk into gym I actually get through half his team before his mega appeared and swept my team since I didn't know he had it. Second time around I come with a secret weapon that few would call me crazy to use. I also bring my Mawile out of his vacation from the Rotation Resort that is the PC. So after getting to it again I Flare Blitz it with my barely alive Blaziken while my Raichu does chip damage against the Eelektross. Well, Eelektross knocks out Raichu while Blaziken faints from recoil. So I throw out Mawile and my Secret Weapon...Feraligatr! Now I know, Feraligatr is a water type it would just die in this gym but my Feraligatr is Jolly natured with Sheer Force holding an Icicle Plate with Ice Punch that has been EV trained. So, Feraligatr hits Ampharos and to my shock knocks it out with a critical hit so my Mawile faints his Eelektross and next is his shiny Eletctivire. So is Eletctivire faints Feraligatr cause well Water-type, and Mawile nearly kills it with a Play Rough. So, I'm feeling a little cornered so I revive my Blaziken cause I know Eletctvire is faster then Mawile and I KNOW it has the elemental punches. So it of course Fire Punches  Mawile to death and Blaziken then Flare Blitz it to death and I'm smiling while the victory music plays. The screen blacks out to go back to the over world but then the music goes out....The game crashed.

Sigh, I had to reset for almost an hour just to get Roserade's Quick Claw to active so it can one shot his Raichu cause honestly it and Mangaton just one shot my entire team when they both start Thunder Plusing. Manages to get through the battle again almost the same way speed read his dialog before saving as fast as I could for fear of another unlucky crash.

Anyone have any Gym Leader stories they'd like to share?

If you want a good ground type I recommend catching a Hippo. Some other options are Flygon and Mamoswine since I don't see what you can do against dragons.

But if it's between Torterra and Roserade, I'd use Roserade because it's way faster and has access to sleep powder. Torterra kinda sucks honestly.

Currently using my Floatzel with Ice Fang for Dragons plus I sometimes use Mawile if I'm in a Dragon heavy area. My Roserade knows Toxic instead of Sleep Powder and it has won me many many battles (Looking at you Valor Summit battle).

Between the two, although I LOVE Torterra's design, I think he's a bit low on stats and too weak to Ice (x4 weak) while Roserade is a good and solid choice. As @Gheist said, a good ground type could be Mamoswine (Good typing, attack, speed, and movespool, with some priority options) or Excadrill if you want to get a steel type (knowing you're about to go to Electric gym, you might need it)

Do you know where I could get a Excadrill or Drilbur cause that is honestly my go to ground type whenever I play Hacks or games like Rejvenation.
