Yes, it work. Apparently the trick is to use the event pokemon. In my case, I got the Igglybuff from Yagami via wonder trade with the OT named Ms Linda.
This request was solved. Thank you all of you.

I am to understand that there is no Amulet coin in the game but there is a substitute. One that you can get by trading the Igglybuff you got from the rich lady in Peridot for a Luck Incense.
Problem?
I lost the Igglybuff or never receive it in the first place.
If anyone can give me that same Igglybuff or a Luck Incense - I would very much appreciate.

Edit: as 22nd October this is ongoing issue. Request help. Offering the woman an Igglybuff would not work. Even if it was breed. Asking for alternative solutions. I want something of a replacement for an Amulet coin. A Luck Incense might just do it.
