  1. Does anyone know where the move relearner is located in Spork or if it is even available? Also, I'd greatly appreciate knowing how many gym badges I'd need to use it. I think I must have missed it.

tbh I'm only asking b/c I would really like to use Poipole / Naganadel from USUM as my starter but I guess this would also apply to mons like Tangrowth, Mamoswine, Tsareena, and a few others

  2. Story

    Best:

Kugearen arc - time travel is dope! + I'm really curious about the origins of Madame X and the dark Gardevoir

Blacksteeple arc - intense and adds to plot

    Worst:

The whole Amber/Venam drama as mentioned by @Chase

    Maps

    Best:

    Route 1, Route 2, Route 9, and Terajuma Island/Jungle are incredibly pretty/beautiful

    Worst:

(Aesthetically) - Angie's gym is a mess/cluttered. Ice maps are usually beautiful in Pokemon (Reborn, Desolation, Sun/Moon, HeartGold/SoulSilver) but this one is kinda bleh

(Logistically) - both versions of Crawli's gyms (Pre-V9 especially)

    Characters

    Best:

Tesla - see what @Ice Cream Sand Witch already said

Zetta - I truly feel bad for the dude and hope things get better one day

    Worst:

Ren - biggest snake since Kevin Durant

Amber - extremely immature and not in the fun way like Venam

  3. Hello everyone!

Instead of calling me GreenDecidueyeArrow, you guys can just refer to me as Deci instead, it rolls off the tongue easier if you ask me. I've actually been a part of this forum for a while, but I realized I haven't introduced myself yet. Oh, and I'm currently in university for undergrad as of this post.

Well, if it isn't clear already, I think Reborn, the DC hero Green Arrow, and the Rowlet line are pretty dope. Confession: Swampert is still my favorite starter if we're being honest. However, that doesn't mean I can't like other starters too. Typhlosion has been so cluch for me in both Soul Silver and Rejuvenation with Eruption :)

When it comes to Pokemon fangames, so far I've played and enjoyed: Reborn (+ Hardcore as well), Rejuvenation, Desolation, Spork, Insurgence, and Omicron

My favorite types are Water and Dragon but I like most pokemon, even Budew (sorry Ame).

Outside of Pokemon, I could talk all day about astronomy, basketball, or Game of Thrones (don't worry, I'll be careful with spoilers) so feel free to bring those up anytime with me!

  4. Feel free to choose any monotype but I think Fire would be interesting with so many viable mons early for Rejuv specifically

    Starter (Preferably Infernape or Blaziken)

    Arcanine

    Talonflame

    Salazzle

    Pyroar

    Alolan Marowak

    Typhlosion after badge 7

    Chandelure

    etc...

  5. I chose delta Charmander too and 10/10 I would use it again! I strongly recommend to use the Draco Meteor move tutor as soon as possible! Also, as someone who recently beat hard mode, I'd let you know that after the 4th gym, the opponent's mons have optimal nature, EV, and IV spreads.

btw I also really recommend delta Gardevoir, she's both elegant and badass with the Electric/Ice dual STAB. I beat hard mode thanks in part to her. I usually mega'd my Delta Charizard and gave a choice scarf to delta Gardevoir.

Delta Bisharp was also clutch with choice scarf High Jump Kick. I'm also interested in Delta Typhlosion but I didn't get a chance to use it. Electric/Steel on a base 100 speed mon seems intriguing.

  6. Glad to hear you're back! I hope your difficult situation improves, good luck.

Is Episode 5 gonna have a speed-up button and/or Gen 7 mons/mechanics? Also, I've developed icons for the shiny Hydreigon, Gardevoir, and Infernape family lines if you, Ame, or Jan are interested.

I'll prolly change it up soon, since there are gen 7 mons now, but this team has been pretty fun to use so far, it's been carrying me through intense mode

I'm 90% sure that Blackwater, Khal Drogo, and Valyrian are Game of Thrones references, but are the other 3 references to Kanye?

Pablo = The Life of Pablo

    Ultralight = Ultralight Beam

L.A. = No More Parties in LA

  8. Weezing can brush off physical Fighting/Rock damage, is immune to ground b/c Levitate, and Poison beats Fairy. Also, it learns Sludge Bomb by level-up. You can also breed pain split and toxic spikes if you're interested. Also, you can stop setup sweepers with clear smog/haze. It learns Gyro Ball by level up (goes well with 35 speed) and can learn Shadow Ball for excellent neutral coverage, but you're gonna have to defeat one of the toughest Dimensional Rifts to get that TM.

  9. Looks good! Here are a few suggestions if you're interested:

Espeon: You could consider replacing Bite with either Psyshock to hit special walls or with Calm Mind. Those TM's, if not available yet, will be soon enough

Gengar (Mega): Taunt can prevent your opponent from setting up stealth rock/livewire or using recovery/thunder wave (you can even 1v1 a chansey, which is rare for special attackers). Once available, a special Poison STAB like Sludge Bomb would be a good idea. Depending on your luck levels, you could consider Focus Blast over dark pulse.

Gigalith: Earthquake or Bulldoze could replace Headbutt

The rest seem fine as is, though Lanturn will really appreciate Ice Beam once it becomes available. Since you mentioned you might replace Heatmor, do you know any fire types you like a lot more? Volcarona is my personal favorite, but Arcanine, Typhlosion, Infernape, Chandelure, and Talonflame are also fun choices and some of those can even add a new playstyle to your team (setup sweeper with Quiver/Swords Dance, priority attacker via Extremespeed, Mach Punch, or Brave Bird)

  10. Your team looks awesome! I wouldn't change much, though a Dark type might help due to the 2 weaknesses to Dark and Ghost and lack of resistances. If you decide to keep Gigalith instead of Tyranitar, maybe you could go with Hydreigon or Bisharp as a part of your rotation.

One thing you could consider would be to replace Lanturn with Rotom-Wash, but for an in-game playthrough I think you can choose whichever you like and turn out OK. Just note that Rotom-W has better all-around stats and provides a ground immunity which 4 of your current mons are weak to (Mega-Gengar, Heatmor, Gigalith, Lanturn). You don't really need Volt Absorb since Flygon is there. However, some advantages of using Lanturn over Rotom-W is that Lanturn can absorb that Livewire entry hazard and learn Ice Beam.

Also, do you mind me asking the movesets for your mons? We'd be happy to help if you'd like.

  11. From my experience:

    1. Have a rotation of 9-10 pokemon instead of just 6. Grinding levels isn't too difficult, especially compared to the main series games. Filter out the mons that have a bad matchup for the upcoming gym.

    2. Read the Field Effects manual! This helps with preparation tremendously

    3. Don't get discouraged if you repeatedly get crushed against some boss battles. This game was intentionally designed this way. Ame, while a wonderful person, is a sadist who bathes in children's tears :(

    4. Be frugal. I hope you've seen Spongebob Squarepants and/or Everybody Hates Chris, because Mr. Krabs and Julius are who you need to emulate financially since NPCs reward very little $ early on and you're broke for most of the early game.

    5. Personal Recommendation: For your starter, I recommend either a water starter, Snivy, Torchic, or Chimchar. Good water types are pretty uncommon early(although I recommend using Lightningrod Goldeen in the first gym) and you'll encounter good Grass (Roselia ,Tangrowth lines) and Fire (Numel, Growlithe, Houndour lines) types much earlier than you will a good water type. Snivy is also a great choice b/c of Contrary Leaf Storm, but I recommend to get HP Fire IV's. Torchic and Chimchar are extremely useful due to their high BP STABS (Close Combat, Hi Jump Kick, Flare Blitz) and their speed (108 for Infernape, Speed Boost HA available for Blaziken)

    6. Be prepared to use mons you've never used before. You're not getting Smogon OU staples such as Garchomp, Scizor, Mega Mawile, Latios, etc.. anytime soon at the start of the game so be prepared to use Poochyena, Wurmple, Woobat, Oddish, etc... type mons from the start. However, there are so many hidden gems even early on, which is why I recommend looking at the guide on Pokemon Location by # of Gym Badges:
