    I've been very vocal about how I dislike human kids, and so has been expressing how fond I am of pets as kids

    Sure it hurts sometimes physically when your cat tries to get away from your loving hug, but imo it's still better than having a human little shit talking back at you for the rest of your life

    At least when cats or dogs talk back at you they sound cute
