    Nintendo has done it again! BAM, NINTENDO DIRECT DELIVERED AND I AM PLEASED!

    LET ME RUN YOU THROUGH THIS MO'FUCKA.

    At Nintendo Direct of 09/04/2013, Junichi Masuda along with the representative of the Pokémon company and the representative of Nintendo announced a cloud storage app.

    Pokémon Bank-

    A cloud storage application primarily for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.

    A player can store up to 3,000 of their own Pokémon in the application. 100 boxes, 30 Pokémon each.

    It is also used to transfer Pokémon using only the 3DS;

    If a player accesses Pokémon Bank while playing Black/White or Black 2/White 2, they'll be able to store their Pokémon and bring them into X and Y using Poké Transporter.

    Pokémon Bank costs an annual fee.

    Pokémon X and Pokémon Y-

    It was announced by Junichi Masuda that you do not receive Fennekin, Froakie, or Chespin from Professor Sycamore.

    You receive one of the three from your friend.

    Professor Sycamore gives you the option between Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur later on (GET HYPE).

    The last thing that was announced was...

    Mega Charizard (edit: Mega Charizard has the ability Drought.)

    Mega Venusaur (edit: Mega Venusaur has the ability Thick Fat.)

    Mega Blastoise (edit: Mega Blastoise has the ability Mega Launcher which boosts its moves.)

    That's right, the starters from Kanto that we know and love are receiving their own beautiful upgrades in this generation!

    Special Red & Blue Nintendo 3DS XL (Yveltal and Xerneas) have been announced for North America and Europe. Release date;

    September 27th.

    It also confirmed that you will need to obtain a bracelet called the Mega Ring that holds a mysterious stone called a Key Stone. The Trainer’s Key Stone resonates with the Mega Stone held by his or her Pokémon.

    Okay, here we go. This will be rather long, but I think I've come to a conclusion on the new champion with all these hints we've been fed lately.

    First off, here is our current evidence; One, two, three

    The new character "Ao Shin" will be some kind of Gypsy Elementalist. Now, here me out. Let me explain to you how I've come to this conclusion.

    The entire idea about this new champion being an elementalist comes from both the Riot 'banter' and hinting that they've posted regarding a few different types of things that could be weaponised, mainly revolving around some kind of weather. 'Next champion storming in' and 'Up in the air', as well as the curious 'explosive intent' mentioned.

    The second part to this are both her tattoos as well as her gesture and actions of surrounding patrons. She obviously has various clouds littering her left arm, along with some strange red image (Not sure what that is) which helps link into the other elements pertaining to some kind of weather manipulation. The thing I find most curious here, is why everyone is holding out their cups to this mystery woman. Not only that, but she seems to be waving her hand in some peculiar way above the cups. To me, it seems like she's actually conjuring drinks for them. Ziggs has been filled and Lee is asking for some more.

    That all leads to me thinking that she has at least some kind of control over the weather and maybe other types of elements, as hinted per the 'explosive intent' pique by the Rioter.

    The gypsy part of this also comes from two things, first obviously being the mention of "You've jinxed us" as well as her tattoos being rather intricate. They most certainly don't seem to be there just for fashion. My personal theory is that she utilises them as a core to summoning and controlling the elements. As in, press down on the wind tattoo and summon a tornado (etc.).

    This is how I have, at least, drawn my conclusions to the new champion.

    Another interesting note, putting "Ao Shin" into google translate and cycling it through a few different languages, in Japanese it gets corrected to "青 新" which translates as "Blue new". There might be something here if someone more adept at linguistics wants to take a crack at that.

    I'll update the post if anyone brings to light any other interesting things they find.

    Edit 1: Remember Riot throwing a few ideas around with an elemental support with the ability to alter terrain? Riotpls. Although, with all the hinting at weather, it might simply be another mid since we already have Janna in bot lane. We can still hope, right?

    Edit 2: /u/mikechull1 has mentioned that "清新 in Chinese means fresh or clean and is commonly used to refer to air quality, the weather, and also women. Riot just might be geniuses at this point."

    Edit 3: /u/devonfayr mentioned a possibly linking name in Ryse's backstory with "Lilith", another being who utilised tattoos as the source of her power. It is entirely likely that "Ao Shin" might just be the development name, and "Lilith" her final name.

    A short story, written by me. (Submission for Runebook's Shaco position.)

    Date: 29 October, 15 CLE


    A citizen by the name Dyrian awoke from his slumber one night, having heard a loud thump from outside of his window. He slowly arose out of his bed, lifted his window and opened it; extending his head outside to look around and investigate. He saw only the streets of Noxus and the lights of the city, he disregarded what he had heard and returned to his slumber.


    Whatever had made the noise, was gone - he was sure it was just a stray animal or something of the sort, but he was nowhere close to being right. Just outside of his window, underneath a bag full of trash and filth lay the Demon Jester himself; Shaco. A large grin widened across his face as the faint sound of the window being closed shut came across his ears.


    Shaco climbed from his previous hiding spot to the window from which Dyrian had stuck his head out, and squatted on the windowsill, peeking in at the once again now sleeping citizen. He suspected that the window had been shut completely, but it had not. He slowly lifted it up to stop himself from awakening the boy once more, and invited himself inside.


    Unsheathing his shivs, he stared menacingly at the citizen and only three words came from his devious grin, silent enough to not wake him; "Why.. so.. serious?" He questioned, as he brought a shiv to his neck and held it there, before a loud thump caught his attention and disrupted his attempt. He quickly escaped out the same window, only leaving behind a card which had a portrait of the Jester himself on it.


    Date: 30 October, 15 CLE


    Dyrian awoke from his slumber early in the morning, around 6:45 A.M and sat up, stretching as a loud yawn escaped from his lips. He became concerned as he noticed that his neck had been rubbed raw by something, and shrugged it off as not a concern.


    The citizen continued on with his normal daily routines, doing work as necessary and enjoying himself with his friends. The Jester stalked him throughout the day, becoming more confident as the day grew into the night, disappearing in clouds of orange smoke whenever necessary.


    The people of Noxus knew about the Demon Jester and suggested that all citizens be wary, even if he was welcomed in the city-state. Shaco was known for his devious and deadly tricks and schemes, especially since now the news had wind of him murdering innocent people.


    Dyrian didn't think too much of the warnings or the news, and continued to live on his life as if Shaco didn't exist. Dyrian split off from his friends, ready to return to his home and get a night's sleep. Shaco didn't plan on allowing this, getting more consistent in keeping right on Dyrian's heels. Dyrian had made it back to his house in one piece, and quickly ascended the building through the stairwell to get to his room.


    Shaco seemed slightly irritated and disappointed in his failure to catch a simple citizen, but decided that he would try again the next day, and would not fail. Dyrian finally realized that there was a card with a portrait of the Jester himself on the front, and became a bit paranoid. He shrugged what he could of it off, and went to sleep.


    Date: 31 October, 15 CLE


    The next day, Shaco had planned out all of his moves for the night when it comes around. Dyrian is sure to be attending the festivities that come along with the holiday of Halloween. Dyrian awoke from his slumber, a bit later this time, around 12:00 P.M and quickly got prepared, dressed and ran off to meet up with his friends.


    The day quickly became night- Dyrian and his friends were all ready for the festivities on this night, and had been prepared for the two weeks before. Whilst Dyrian's friends were all getting ready, he was approached by a citizen that he had never seen before in Noxus. The citizen introduced himself, and told him that there's a more private party happening in the heart of the city, but failed to mention that it was in a back alley.


    Shaco was prepared this time, ready to finally make his kill and end his bloodlust for the time being. Dyrian showed up at the designated location on the letter that had been given to him, and noticed that the room was empty. In the middle of a room lay a box, empty and brand new.


    He approached the box, inspecting it and thinking to himself how much use he could make out of this box that someone had seemingly abandoned. Shaco dropped from the rafters of the building and landed near silently behind the citizen. A large, devious grin widened across his face. "Well, well, well.. Look at what we have here." He stated, hands on both handles of his shivs.


    Dyrian quickly turned to face the Jester and soon realized who he was face-to-face with; his heart dropped to his stomach and his eyes widened. "You.. you're.." He stuttered. "That's right! Shaco, the 'Demon Jester' - in the flesh!"


    Dyrian stuttered again and quickly fell back onto his rear, letting out a slight yell of pain from the impact. Shaco leaned forwards to him and started laughing; "Look at you, falling over like a bumbling idiot! Oh, I'm going to enjoy this." And with that statement having been said, he began to slowly dismember the citizen after taping his mouth shut. The sound of shiv against bone and muscle made Dyrian cringe and the pain was overwhelming, but he couldn't scream. No one would hear him even if he could. After hours of this occurring, Shaco had finally killed the poor citizen and contorted his body to fit into the box, lacing the corpse with clockwork and metal; "Welcome to the family.. child." Dyrian was now one of Shaco's very own, Jack in the Boxes.

    It's that time again! CoroCoro has released some new information, including images. Let's break it down.



    Disclaimer: This is not 100% confirmed, what is listed may or may not be final and/or true. Take this with a grain of salt.




    First off! New "Mega" forms of various Pokémon. Specifically; MegaBlaziken, MegaLucario, MegaMawile, MegaAbsol, MegaMewtwo, and MegaAmpharos.



    • MegaMawile is Steel/Fairy-typing. It also has the ability Huge Power.
    • MegaBlaziken has Speed Boost.
    • MegaLucario has Adaptibility.
    • MegaAbsol has Magic Bounce.
    • MegaAmpharos is Electric/Dragon-typing and has the ability Mold Breaker.


    They evolve through a process called "Mega" evolution.


    New pokemon were announced as well;


    • Meekuru is the pre-evolution of Gogoat.
    • An Electric/Fairy-type was announced, named Dedenne. It's labeled the Antenna Pokémon and has the ability Pick Up or the new ability Cheek Pouches.
    • A rabbit Pokémon was announced, named Horubii. It's Normal-type. It's labeled the Digging Pokémon and has the ability Pick Up or the new ability Cheek Pouches.
    • A new character is shown named Koruni. She is a Gym Leader and holds the key to understanding Mega evolution.

    ​The first Pokémon X and Y event will be a Torchic distributed between October 12th and January 13th, holding what is called a Blaziken Knight. Also, some sort of tie in with an item referred to as a Mega Stone.

    "These tiers could use some work."

    No, they couldn't. The tiers are fine where they are, just because a group of people ladder competitively doesn't mean that you should start a discussion about them overall because you consider these tiers to be ruining competitive battling.

    I've said this before, and I'll say it again.

    Ladder = numbers. Numbers don't matter. We don't have a ladder competition anymore so what's the point in caring about ladder rank?

    Basically, until X and Y are released, I don't see any need of reviewing the tiers or changing anything about them. We've already given Kyurem-B to OverUsed, and made a Clear Skies tier. That, as previously stated, no one uses even after it was so widely wanted.
