Hi I started making a pokémon game, i'm still at the beginning, and i want to desplay a text (inside an event) depending on the gender of the player (for example : if it's a boy desplay "hi young man", if it's a girl desplay "hallo sweetheart") i looked in the internet and i found a variable $trainer.gender which is equal to 0 if it's a boy, 1 if it's a girl & 2 for unknown i tryed to make a condition with a script : $trainer.gender==0 but it gave me an error when i tested it if someone could help me or point me to a solution i'll be glad thank you in advance P.S: I'm working with RPG Maker XP, and pokémon essentials

I guess then Pokémon Reborn isn't meant for me, when i play a pokémon game i decide my team from the beginning, i only train 6 pokémon and train them well to be ready for the challenges ahead, wasting time on leveling random pokémons just to have 6 in my party isn't fun for me anyway thank you for your reply

So sorry if this isn't the right place to post my question but i can't find a proper answer anywhere i just started the game and it looks amazing, i think it's a bit difficult so i wanted to prepare my pokémon for the battles ahead by Ev training it, but i can't find a way to do so, if i keep fighting random trainers this will ruin my pokémon ev, if my pokémon grows to fast it won't listen to me anymore so is there a way to ev train my starter, i choosed charmander and i defenitly want to keep it in my party thanks
