  1. Halley was hardly convinced, but it wasn't like it was particularly important of a detail, so she shrugged and got into the portal. "Either I've been here before or every alleyway in this city is actually an open junkyard... Or both. Likely both." She paced through all the litters on the ground and toward the exit of the alleyway. "I wonder if I'm still wanted..." She said, as she stopped right before the exit and indulged momentarily in the city lights of nighttime Seattle.

  2. "Deusche... Oh, Deus! That guy. He did spout some nonsense about being a God and soon-to-be God of the Matrix when I first met him. And then... he duped me. That was unfun." Halley grumbled bitterly. "Okay so I'm totally on board with your goal here if it means getting back on him, though I am curious... What does any of this have to do with your daughter?"

  3. "Uh-Um!" Emmanuel was caught off guard by Uno suddenly going unconscious again. Before the panic, though, he had managed to connect the dots. He would have to get more of the healing water from #07 to relieve Uno's condition. Though, he was absolutely in no position to ask for that from the HQ, with him supposedly being on vacation.

    Wait... Was she glowing?

"This might sound strange to you, but... I think I saw something glowing blue under your sheets." A statement, but in fact more of a request. He waited for a response.

  4. Emmanuel took a seat before Uno, sitting comfortably on the tatami. "... Yes," he answered, even though he knew that his goal was actually rather selfish, just distracting himself from the present issue by focusing on her. He set his eyes on the moonlit floors and away from Uno for a moment, digesting what she just said. "Treatment? Have you been taking medicine?"

  5. "I'd call it a person to if Ichi hadn't dealt with it like that," Shamhat muttered. She observed Yvette's summoning ritual, again, and was pleasantly surprised that she didn't call forth imps for them to swat. Orcs were certainly an improvement. She gave the corpse one last look, before following the ugly band of demons to next room.

  6. Tai

Choices. Even more of them. The building felt increasingly like a maze to Tai. Of all the choices, though, only two stood out. One being the ever-familiar danger-marked path. The other, and the more interesting one, would be the path across from the "dangerous" one, with the curtain already pushed aside.

Could someone had just gone that way recently? He hurried to the door that lied at the end of the path, thinking that he was onto something at last.

  7. Tai

Tai realized the disappearance of the presence... And concluded that whatever he was seeing stayed in the last room. He made a mental note of it, and continued. Now, instead of two choices, he had three. It was certainly strange that the building had so many rooms marked as being dangerous. Or perhaps all the marked doorways actually lead to a single room?

He was slightly intrigued, but he was already set on saving the dangerous areas for last. He made his way to the end of the hallway and entered the doorway behind the normal curtain.

  8. Tai

The layout of the building became slightly more bizarre as it unfolded before Tai's eyes. A dangerous doorway, and a safe one, like the first room. However, he was already set on his "strategy," if it could even be called one.

Something seemed to have gotten into his eyes, but it wouldn't disappear after he had blinked repeatedly. It was a bit worrisome, but more of a nuisance than anything else. It reminded him of the building's mysterious appearance somewhat, so he decided to wait and see if it'd magically come into existence, or at least move itself into the center of his eyes on its own so he could actually see what it was.

In meantime, he entered the doorway without the dangerous-looking symbol.

  9. Tai

Fate seemed to be kind to Tai... Or could it be considered unkind, in a sense, having only revealed a shelter of this degree to him after Cardinal's apparent death?

He, however, was just glad. Glad that he was safe again, even for just a moment. The unnatural warmth was so welcoming to him that he could imagine himself taking a nap on the floor of the empty room right here and now.

The walls seemed to be glowing somehow, further adding to the building's mystery. And the only way to get a grasp of the mystery would be to see more of it, so he pressed forward.

Of the two curtained doorways, the one leading toward the center of the building felt unsafe to him. The symbol on the curtain felt like a warning sign, even though he couldn't recall to have ever seen the symbol before. Though, for what amounted to a "DANGER" sign, there seemed to be little effort made to prevent wanderers from entering.

Regardless, he figured that he should check out that doorway last. He wasn't exactly eager to play with fire after having just walked back from death's doorstep. Hopefully, the other doorway would lead him to somewhere that would tell him what was in there. He brushed aside the symbol-less curtain and entered the doorway behind it.

  10. "Like hell. If this 'computer' really wants to talk, it can just do it right now. It's probably going to round us up so it can deal with us in one fell swoop," Shamhat said, not trusting whatever was behind the announcement. "We'll pretend that we don't know where to get there for now, how's that? As for me, I want to check out the control room up ahead."

  11. "... I'm afraid not, ma'am," Emmanuel frowned. And then, Zeta reminded him about Sena still not having called after a whole day. "Darn... Sena's also missing! And it's nighttime too, so there's a very real chance that he's under attack by the ghost girl right now!"

"But, would we even be able to find him in that case?" His face grew increasingly grim. "Unless, we try to leave ourselves vulnerable to the ghost. It's totally a gamble, yet it seems to be our best bet right now," he sighed.

"This is just awful... I don't know what to do," he grumbled, and then he spoke up once again. "I... I'll need a moment, if you'll excuse me." He paced toward Uno's bedroom, and knocked.

  12. Marina turned to the crash of thunder in surprise, and at the end of bang was none other than her uncle, speared by "Cu"'s Gae Bolg. Almost equally as concerning was the fortress seemingly intent on nuking the whole place with excessive kegare.

"Sorry, uncle, but this will have to do! I'll get back to you later!" She wished for a large, pink, and liquid sphere of healing energy and... morphine, almost as large as Immanuel was, and sent it speeding down toward his position. She then went back to focusing on the fortress. More specifically, its raised arm. She rose to the same height as the fortress' arm. She could probably stop whatever the fortress was doing if she could sever its arm, she thought, but she'd need something sharp... gigantic... and sacred.

So she wished for exactly that, as well as all the strength she'd need to actually wield the thing, and brought whatever sacred sword she ended up getting down upon the thinnest section of the fortress' raised arm.

    Alteration to 6.

  13. Tai

The moss reminded Tai of mints. It was, bizarrely, actually decent. The chillness, and then, the clarity, almost refreshed his consciousness, and before he could realize it, he was just a few steps away from the battered structure. It'd do, he thought.

He gave the snowfield behind him one last glance. He wouldn't be able to wait out the blizzard in Gluttony; it would still be there even when it's the end of the world, patiently waiting for him to return from the run-down shelter and into its cold jaws of death. Perhaps, he thought, he'd choose to rot away from the cold winds, to spite Chronos' condemnation.

He then turned back to the stone building, moving his hands along its walls as he found his way into its entrance and made his way inside.

  14. "Thanks," Emmanuel gladly cleansed his mouth with plenty of water, getting rid of the awful spiciness.

But aside from the gastronomical disaster he just experienced, there was a bigger problem at hand all the sudden. "Wait! Those cadets shouldn't have gone very far. I'll ask them for help!" Without waiting for a response, he sprinted down the streets, tracing the path back to the spot where he'd found the group of three cadets, looking for where they went. He yelled, "over here! Somebody, help! A woman had just collapsed out in the open all the sudden!"

  15. Tai

"No..." Against the little of dignity he had, Tai put the moss into his mouth with his own hands and swallowed it with his eyes closed, as if he was a toddler being fed with eggplants forcibly. His brain screamed for him to spit it out, but he couldn't... he wouldn't. With one more gulp, he gave up on fighting with himself, and stood up slowly.

His legs felt numb already, but he wanted them to work for just a bit longer. Maybe his eyes were playing one last trick on him, but he saw a stone building nearby. It was somewhat disappointing of a mirage, so perhaps it could be real? Regardless, there seemed to be a little bit more to this wasteland than he had thought.

He dragged his legs through the snow, and towards the mysterious structure.

  16. Halley got a proper look at the monster that had been born out of the Sumerian king after the Dracolich's assault had slowed down. She shifted her eyes between the Dracolich and Tiamat. "One of you is stealing another's thunder, y'know?" Seeing the lady machine in black had gotten the Dracolich's attention, she decided to take some pot shots at Tiamat.

Action: Halley uses Variable Sword on Tiamat, dealing 3d6+SYN+DEX = 3d6+9+10 damage. 5*INT% = 30% chance to use a Wide Sword instead, dealing an additional SYN+DEX/2 = 9+10/2 damage to the Dracolich as well.

    Perks:

  17. Emmanuel's eyes twitched, but he managed. "Jenny... It... Has a lot of room for improvement," he said slowly, resisting the pain lingering on his throat. "Do you happen to have... some fresh water? ... Yes... I'm thirsty from the heat." All the while, he maintained the most painful smile.

  18. Shamhat followed the other two into the room.

"... Go what? Anyway, that does sound way more resourceful than just blowing up one wall," Shamhat looked at Ichi with doubt. "You are putting this poor thing at risk of random backfiring, though. And us, too, to some extent."

"Then again, it's not like we can't find a new mutant for you to work with if this one does blow up. So, go ahead."

Meanwhile, she checked out the backup generators curiously, looking for labeled switches.
