  1. Maybe it has to do with mentality? I mean they can do pkmn fights but can they hurt people? I mean Charlotte can, but considering where she is, I don't think she would fight. Don't want to burn down the house twice. The rest doesn't seem the type to hurt people.

    I have a similar theory.

We gotta remember that Noel and Anna are just two kids. Now, I'm not gonna say that just because they are children, they are unable to hurt someone: but I believe it doesn't fall in natural for children to hurt someone, even if it is self defense.

I'm not gonna include Charlotte here since she did actually burn Sigmund out of her own free will. As well as that she's older than Anna and Noel. Her mind has developed more with age than those two have.

  2. I have posted this drawing before in the Reborn fanart topic, but I'll post this one here as well ~

    http://orig08.deviantart.net/230e/f/2016/152/1/f/untitled_by_victoria2037_da4lztm_by_victoria2037-da4m694.jpg

This drawing sort of sums up what I believe the protagonist for both Rejuvenation and Reborn would act ... at least according to my crazy imagination.

Alice would be a silent protagonist. I've noticed that a lot of people have commented on Alice as a kind and polite girl. While she isn't exactly rude nor does she express her personality too much, I imagine she would slap people if what they say wasn't really ... nice.

(I honest to god have no knowledge if there is any official name for the protags in Rejuvenation, so correct me if they have, I'll just call her Linda)

Linda, on the other hand, has anger issue. She shouts, punches/kicks people and her motavation for bringing Team Xen down is mostly of vengeance (you know why).

  3. I've done three runs of Reborn, picking different type of starters. First one was fire (Delphox), second was water (Samurott) and third was grass (Chesnaught).

In most of my runs of any Pokémon, I try to use different Pokémon I might never have thought of trying before. Like in my first, I trained the Lillipup you recieve from that old man. I also evolves my eevees into different kind. (1. Run: Glaceon, 2. Run: Leafeon and 3. Run: Sylveon)

  4. I'd almost suggest Taka but then I remembered you don't see him at all from the Garchomp fight to the Sewers.

Which is a shame. He's a tolerable fellow.

My point exactly. Taka isn't a bad character, but he laks screen time.

But I guess with so many characters in one game, it's hard to give everyone enough screen time.

  5. The lack of important male characters kinda irks me too. It's even more noticeable when Cain is the only one that's brought up whenever this is mentioned. Other than him, there's, like, villains who get two lines of characterization and nothing else (Solaris, Sigmund, Sirius, Taka, Corey, El), characters who are written around a single trait (Fern the jerk rival, Samson the dumb muscle, Bennett the horny teenager, Blake the jerk for the sake of being a jerk) and oddballs like Radomus and Cal who look like they're given depth, due to the fact that they're given some interesting traits, but in practice their characterization doesn't go anywhere because they're simply not onscreen enough. Cain himself isn't a good example, because he can be summed up in four words: pansexual, flirty, nice, fishnets.

    You forgot Hardy and Zero.

Cain is more than just a flirty pansexual rival. He ran away from home because his family (at least his mother) didn't accept him for who he was. He is willing to help the MC throughout the game, like helping the orphans escape and Heather with her loss. He is also willing to try something new, like how he accepted the Oshawott he saved and later on using dark and bug types against Radomus (who he never got to battle. Poor guy). The guy freaking sacrificed himself to save the MC from El even though he knew El was in the elite four and wouldn't be able to take him down in a battle.

I completely agree with you that there isn't many strong male characters and I wish there was more. Those who are in the game arn't as weak characters as you make it out to be, though. They only suffer from not having alot of screen time, like you mentioned.

  6. While I will admit Eclipse and Aster are my favorite Meteors, my vote goes for Solaris.

This guy is indeed an interesting villian, to me anyway. What I do like about him, is that he doesn't doubt himself. He truly believes that what he does to Reborn and the people in it is the right thing. I've always liked this kind of villian more, because they feel more real.

One scene with him made me love him as a villian, which is the one where he tries to kill the MC. This proves that he early on knew that the MC was a threat (or an annoyance, as he calls us). I'm guessing that ever since that scene, he is still mad about Amaria saving the MC. He has destroyed Reborn, killed several people, but he has also failed to chrush that one little hope Reborn has: us, the MC.

Although I wish the battle inside Amarias home wasn't together with Florina, I still can live with it.

  7. My first run: Stoutland. I actually never thought I'd ever use this dog. I'm not very fan of normal types. This dog, however, could wreck shit: 110 attack isn't anything to sneeze at. I smacked Giga Impact on that thing and it destroyed anything in its path (almost ... unless those things were ghosts, steel or rock types ... yeah)

My second run: I don't remember this run too well. Maybe because it didn't go too well. I remember that my Swoobat was quite powerful early game. It alone destroyed Kiki.

My current run: Emolga has won my respect this run. Holy moly, that thing can be powerful. That immunty to ground type is just beautiful.

  8. Sigmund, somewhat disturbingly, did try out ECT on kids at his orphanage, supposedly he got caught by the police eventually. That one was so bizarre that it almost seemed like an RP, especially the way sapphira posted about it, but Reborn frankly had(and still has) people with a lot of issues.

Also elias signed up for the league to get in touch with luna, his daughter. I'm not sure if luna really ran away but I know the elias/luna thing has some real basis.

Huh, I'd never guess Sigmund was based off a real person. Now that I know this, I guess it makes somewhat sense. Also, that's an interesting and disturbing story.

It's cool that the whole Luna is Elias daughter is real as well.

  9. Honestly, I want this whole mega evolution thingy to take a break. I understand that it is a fun and interesting aspect of the games now, but I feel that it might become too much as well.

Okay, if I had to pick some, it would had to be Hypno and Raichu.

Hypno because it is so overshadowed by other psychic types, with or without megas. It's a shame, really, because Hypno is my favorite psychic type.

Raichu because it needs something that Pikachu can't have. The fact that this monster is overshadowed by its pre-evolution is just pathetic.

  10. Just found this post and I gotta say this:

Cain/Player should be an option XD

That could be very difficult as the MC doesn't speak. If they were their own character, perhaps, but being a silent protagonist could make it a bit more challenging.

  11. Hatred is a source of draining power. If there is something I absolutly do not wish to be, it is angry and hateful, because is is exhausting.

Hatred is something that everyone should learn to control. It is indeed an powerful emtion, but with that power comes the consequences and I know where it can take you if you let it control you.

  12. "Sirius"

    "Fun romance option"

    What.

I find ZEL being a romance option even more questionable, because ... well ... they are three people and I doubt all of them would fall in love with the MC ... and say if just one of them fell in love? Now that would be ... complicated and interesting.
