  1. Any battle that is a double battle which means:

Taka&ZEL (Third Tangrowth Pulse, I believe), Shelly, Aya, Radomus, Aster&Ecplise, Charlotte, Blake&Fern, Solaris&John and Adrienn. (Still haven't beaten xem..)

  2. Stoutland. Dumb design aside, this dog is a monster, especially the Stoutland I used in my first run of this game. It was so handy to have! I highly recommend trying one out!

  3. The Bellsprout line has a cool shiny in Reborn! (I have a proud shiny Victreebell on my current team! ^-^)

Cottonee and Whimsiott has a cute shiny too!

(Pikachu's shiny is a nice refrence to Pikablu x) )

The worst ... I'm sorry, but I gotta go with Rattata and Raticate. I'm just not a big fan of the color.

Essentially, IV's determine a Pokemon's full potential. Low IV's mean low potential compared to those with higher IV's

EV's are like bonus stats. Beating certain Pokemon nets you EV's in a specific stat. If you focus on Pokemon that reward you with EV's in a specific stat, it can make a real difference. On the other hand, if you just go defeating Pokemon at random, those bonus stats will spread out randomly and probably won't make much of a difference.

    Aha, thank you, dear!

  5. I haven't used every single starter, but those I have used are: Delphox, Chesnaught, Swampert and in my current run I have used Emboar. Out of all of those four ... Chesnaught was the hardest.

Now, don't get me wrong: Chesnaught is a good Pokémon with an interesting type-combination of Grass and Fighting ... maybe I was just REALLY unlucky with the EV/IV, but I rarely used him in my playthrough and even went so far as replacing him with a Leafeon because he just wasn't useful on my team. He could barely take a hit from anything and was quite slow.

But like I said: I haven't used every single starter and his EV/IV's might have been terrible (I can't remember, honestly, because I'm still trying to figure out how EV/IV works, soo ...)

What I meant is that we were no threat to their livelihood, not their plans. People tend to think twice about doing something when their life is under a big risk. That's probably the reason why they tortured and killed many people from our side. To deter anybody else from getting involved. However, our character never does anything to put true fear into their hearts. We just faint their Pokemon, they run away, and setup another PULSE somewhere else. Characters like Sapphira and Titania (I can't remember if anybody else from our side slaughtered some Meteor goons) do a good job of eliminating their human capital and show them that there are consequences for actions.

You're right that we do pose a threat of some sort to them. But not the type of threat that can really change a person's actions. I'm not saying our character should kill them necessarily, but at least pose a threat to them, capture them, and put them behind bars. If their life is on the line, they won't have much of a choice but to comply.

    Aha, sorry for the misinterpretation.

I honest to god hope the main character won't go as far as murder like Titania and Saphira. I get the whole "not every good guy is a good guy" message, but going as far as murdering defensless grunts is going a bit too far for my taste. Saphira has a decent reason, only wanting to protect her family, but I really don't like Titanias reason. However, this is not a discussing I wish to start on this topic, since it's about gym leaders we LIKE, not dislike.

Sorry again and have a wonderful day, my dear! ^^

Im tired of us toying around with Team Meteor, clearly posing no threat to them, while they slaughter people left and right.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but this statement is wrong.

I think Team Meteor has underestimated the player many times and have been proven again and again that we are a bigger threat than they realize. How many times haven't we been nearly killed or kidnapped?  Solaris tried to kill us already back when we had ... what, four badges?

While Lin might not be see us as a threat, but I think Solaris and the others do so. The reason they've gotton away with the murders we have witnessed is because the action happened too fast for anyone to react or we were in a position that made us unable to do anything about it.

  9. The two gym leaders I've always had trouble with every time I've played through Reborn are Shelly and Charlotte.

But I'm really terrible at double battles, so any gym leader where there is a double battle is hard for me.

  10. Hmmm ... ah, yes, I think this one.

Ah, Silent Hill 3, my favorite game from this series. And by far, my favorite protagonist is Heather Mason (or Cheryl, but I prefer referring to her as Heather as to not confuse her with another character by the same name). Not only because she's the only female protagonist in the main series of games, but because she goes through such big amount of changes throughout the game. She begins as this snarky, sterotypical teenager and by the end, it more mature and easier to sympathize with. She's a flawed character that is very relatable.

Another thing I appreciate about Heather is how she's not a victim of being sexulized for her gender. Sure, she wears a miniskirt, but there's never once a shot that was uncomfortable nor trying to sexualize her. She's a teenage girl and is respected as one by the game creators.

  11. That's interesting. I've read a lot of people here and there saying it was a very difficult battle, like gym leader level, and blaming Aya's A.I. for being stupid (not saying it's your case, just pointing this out). But honestly I didn't think it was that bad. If anything the events immediately following the fight are indeed more memorable.

I think that like every battle, it really depends on your team. I've done several runs of Reborn. On one of them, I actually beat them on the first try.

I guess I like the battle since it's a great battle for what will be the last battle against Aster and Eclipse as a pair. I really like those clowns.

  12. Another memorable battle, IMO, is:

Player & Aya VS Aster & Eclipse

This battle took me FOREVER to beat the first time I played this game. Of course, the biggest reason was because I was a noob and had literally no idea how to play Pokémon properly. But this battle still is a good battle, even if the cutscene afterwards is rather sad. Gosh, I'mma miss these two clowns.
