It's intended for this mod ~

There will be sprite for an unmasked form for ogerpon, and with that i came to the idea to just add another form for it. It's mostly the same as teal mask except for its ability and being able to hold an item. Due to tera not being implemented i decided to make the masks all being a mega stone at the same time for it Embody Aspect forme.

The Ivy cudgle isn't adjusted to that change yet, i added it before the ideas of ogerpon's forms - i will update it when ogerpon is fully available.

    Oh, good to know!

Can't wait to see what is it like when the event is implemented!

  2. Hi,

I know that some pokemon are not implemented yet but I have noticed something amusing while looking though the files.

According to serebii, Ogerpon only has 4 forms: Teal Mask(standard, basically no mask), Wellspring Mask(with Wellspring Mask), Hearthflame Mask(with Hearthflame Mask), and Cornerstone Mask(with Cornerstone Mask). Teal Mask is the default form if you don't give it any Mask. However, in the pokemon.txt file I found in the PBS, I noticed there's actually FIVE forms(Formnames=Unmasked,Teal Mask,Wellspring Mask,Hearthflame Mask,Cornerstone Mask)

Unmasked and Teal Mask are both the same since it's the default form. Also, Ogerpon does not have Rattled as an ability. The default form, Teal Mask, comes with Defiant after all.

Upon checking the multipleforms file, I noticed that while you listed Unmasked as 0, your default form does not list form 0 at all which I think is what broke the interactions since there is no item called Teal Mask but under default form, you listed PBItems Teal Mask = form 1.

Under PokeBattle_MoveEffect(I think this is the file?), your Ivy Cudgel interactions mentions Ivy Cudgel is water if form 1, fire if form 2, and Rock if form 3. However, in your multiple forms file, you listed form 1 as Teal Mask, form 2 as Wellspring, form 3 as Hearthflame form 4 as Cornerstone.

I think this is what actually broke the whole thing since form 1, the default form, Ivy Cudgel should be Grass etc etc. Oh right, I'm no expert on coding and stuff so I'd figure I'll ask: if you did not put in the grass typing at all(type = PBTypes::GRASS if attacker.form == x where x is the default form number), what typing does the default form has? Can't test it out when there's no way to get this mon yet in game so I'm not sure if the move is working correctly or not.

I hope when this pokemon is implemented officially with its event you'll fix this small error. By the way, well done on this mod and I really appreciate your efforts.

Alright, you are not that far off.
Pretty sure if you interact with them you'd have to trigger them going off looking for someone to fix the tracks. Then you'd do what kithas told you earlier to look for an old dude called Kevin in Oblitus, that would let you take off to in search for him at the Darchlight Woods and my previous answer.

Oh okay thanks! Seems like I needed to talk to them again even when the train scene played out when they teleported me back after seeing the broken bridge.

Did you already meet Flora and Florin inside the Darchlight Woods?
If so, you'll need to go to the area south-west from the entrance, then you'll be at an intersection area which triggers the scene for you with them, you'd go up where they went and follow the story from there,

No I haven't. I'm at the part where Melia, Venam, the dude, some weird girl and train conductor are looking at the train. After the bridge scene, the train scene played.

Where are you in the story?
Have you finished progression inside the Darchlight Cave or you haven't been there yet with Flora and Florin?

I haven't went in the cave. Last progression was the female ghost(?) near the Zygarde cells in the Woods after the bridge and train scene.

Did you already go north to the bridge that should go right to the entrance of GDC? I think the plot goes there, then back to the train. Then Oblitus and then I think that's when you go to Darchlight.

Yes I did till the train. Entered Oblitus but there's no event there.......

  7. Check out the Field Effects manual, there are plenty of "weather" effects listed there.

You're forgetting that Hail and Sandstorm are also weather effects.

And the reason you're noticing Electric-type moves aren't Super Effective against Flying-types, is because of the windy weather, which has the same effect as Mega Rayquaza's Ability: Delta Stream. This cuts the weaknesses of Flying-type Pokémon in half.

I know the rest of the weather effects. I'm more of concerned with the current ones like sunny day which brings drought in and rainy days which brings drizzle in. There are no areas so far in that has sandstorm afaik.

I was suspecting Delta Stream to be the culprit but why the reasoning to ue Mega Rayquaza's ability on windy days?

  8. The only illegal moves I currently have is Shade's Dusknoir who has Shadow Claw. The only reason I would use an illegal move is not to make it stronger, but to help tighten the AI up a bit. The only other illegal move was Sand Tomb on Cacnea for Florinia due to an AI exploit where it would use Nature Power on flying types often. I won't ever do anything drastic like give a Flareon Wild Charge or a Scizor Earthquake as I do reference Bulbapedia when creating movesets. I will however change Shadow Claw back into Shadow Punch once field AI has been implemented and tests correctly. (Trust me, I do quite a few tests especially on leaders to make sure they are working properly).

Truthfully, I put my foot down on fake moves. I to generally believe that the game should be played without any fake stuff. Pulse Muk also has Water Pulse instead of Muddy Water...due to another AI exploit for the time being and I did have T-shock on one of the Pulse Tangrowths, but that was later dropped for being too wtf for anyone but pre Episode 10.5 players. If you want the spirit of 100% true Pokemon game, I will disappoint you as I will do slight, hardly noticeable moves in order to provide a better and more enjoyable game. When the game's AI is at its finest, this will be true to the formula I will promise you that.

Okay. I'll hold you to your words. I hope you stick to your words with the hardcore edition not having any other fake mons or fake moves. I'll wait for you to fix the game AI and change the illegal moves back to the legal moves once it's all done properly.

I look forward to this version being completed. I hope I don't get disappointed.

  9. While I like the idea of making it harder, I really dislike anything fake. The pulse mons were still bearable because they were the only fakes in the game. Add more fakes to it and it just doesn't really feel like pokemon anymore. I believe it should stick closely to the original game, like how reborn did. Adding more fake stuff just make it seems terrible.

I guess that's just me then. I chose reborn above any other fan made pokemon games cos this was the only one that stick close to the original game. The rest? It's filled with fake mons and what not.

If there's a hardcore edition with no fake/illegal moves, perhaps I'll try that.

  10. I went with clearing the field with Blizzard from Vanilluxe though I have to reset quite a bit to get a low damage roll when she wack me with fire blast. After removing the field, you can just rekt her back.

  11. The glitch field acts like gen 1

1)This means attacks are based on move type not on the move itself. Pretty much the eeveelution types plus dragon are special and everything else is physical.

2)If using a special attack it will take the users higher special stat to apply damage (e.g. chansey using a special move would use special defence.

3)I think what you described is right here.

4)Bird is a reference to Missingo's type from the gen 1 games.

    5) I once again think that you are right. Neutral means 1x damage.

So if it acts like gen 1, does it mean there's gonna be no immunity?

Basically, it turns the game into a Gen 1 Field.

    1) Yes, the moves are calculated off the Gen I mechanics. And is Sp or Phys depending on type

    2) SpDef and SpAtk was merged in Gen I, so if you have 250 SpAtk and 50 SpDef you'll have a stat of 250 "special"

    3) These three types were not in the game in Gen I. Dark and Steel were created in Gen II and fairy in gen VI. Not sure about resistances, but I'd assume that they would be the same as normal. (don't quote me on this)

    4) No clue. Just some glitch thing?

    5) It may be a reference to how Dragon Rage was the only Dragon type move in gen I. But yeah, I think it is 1x

Okay, so can I assume that everything is gonna be calculated/work like gen I?

If nothing exist back in Gen I(Dark etc...) do I take it as it'll deal normal type damage?

EDIT: okay wait. You and the user above don't agree. Now what's exactly it for point 2?

  12. Guys, I have a few questions about the Glitch Field cos it isn't worded very nicely.

Firstly, does the first pointer: "The physical/special move split is undone"

Means damage calculations goes back to gen II, before the introduction of physical and special attacks?

If that's the case, point 2: "Special Attacks, for both the attacker and defender, calculate off of the higher stat between SpAtk and SpDef"

What does this exactly mean? How are special attacks handled then?

Point 3: "Dark, Steel, and Fairy type attacks become Normal type"

Does this apply to defensive typing? Does Fairy still gains immunity to dragon type attacks? Does dark gain immunity to psychic? Does steel gain immunity to poison?

Point 4: "Camouflage changes the user's type to BIRD"

What does BIRD here means? Flying? If so, why not just call it that?

Point 5: 'Dragon always deal NEUTRAL damage"

What does neutral means? Does it mean that in Glitch Field, dragon hits dragons, steel and fairy for 1x?

How does super-effective/immunity and not-so-effective work with this neutral thing?

If anyone can answer that, I'll appreciate it. Thanks

  13. There are no branch ending as the one thing that is confirmed is the normal ending and an extended ending which are affected by some choices (such as losing to Solaris's Garchomp is believed to be part of the extended).

Does the choices made here affect the extended ending? Or rather, does the choice here have any influence on the extended ending?
