@andracass Yes... """Marth""" is what I meant to say. It's not that I hate """Marth""" its just that I hate how characters with better development or storylines tend to get shoved to the side when it comes to "Him". (I'm looking at you Voting Gauntlet.) Time Travel is one of those things that can be very difficult to pull off, and Awakening uses it sparingly. (If you just rush and don't care about child units.) Plus I'm getting some real Terminator vibes from the story, but aren't getting nearly enough robots from it.

I personally really like Lyn and Azura from Fire Emblem(s), but I can get why people don't like them as much.
Lucina's definitely my fave tho and i'll fight anyone who says she's not great.
SpoilerThat first playthrough tends to leave an impression.

Cloud (Final Fantasy VII)
Tidus (Final Fantasy X)
Aeris (Final Fantasy VII)
Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII)
I personally don't like Cloud for the same reason I don't like Aeris/Aerith and Sephiroth; they're all boring characters. I know Cloud has something wrong with him because of Shinra and all, but that doesn't excuse a boring character arc. Frankly playing as Cid was one of the highlights of FF7 for me. As for Tidus, I think that awkward laugh scene was my issue with him, along with the near-constant monologing to himself.
I'd assume that people like Ness and Lucas because of their home games/nostalgia? But onto characters, I have issues with.
Lucina (FE Awakening)- Listen, I know she has a tragic plot and all, but frankly Lucina is kind of a boring character. You only get her halfway through the game, and keeping her alive (or active I suppose) is optional. Frankly, she didn't seem that memorable to me.
Azura (FE Fates)- Take everything I said about Lucina, and multiply that by ten, and then you have Azura. The fact that Fates seemed to be forcing you to romance her was just the tasteless cherry on the bland cake that was Azura. (and no, I haven't done Revalations, but I doubt she suddenly becomes interesting in it.)
And finally, we have her...
Camilla (FE Fates)- I'm getting some seriously weird vibes from everyone who marries their Corrin off to Camilla. Like, really? I mean, there are two very obvious reasons she's such a popular character... Her purple hair and her personality.

Oh man, those are both fantastic! I'm going to go with the funny one for now, but I've saved them both. Thanks!

Hey everyone, it's me Combat, that guy who once screamed about bees at a political event.
You might have noticed I haven't been around much these last few weeks. There's a good reason for that, I've had a lot of stuff to do for my university. Now to cut straight to the point, I have four papers due by the end of the semester. You may be wondering why I'm here and not working on said papers. Let me tell you, I can't stand it when people post stuff like "OMG I have so much stuff to do" and the like. I'm not going to be some sort of hypocrite, I'm just using my resources.
The deal is, one of my papers is a ten to twelve, single-spaced paper about me critiquing three blogs that are similar to the blog I made for the class. While half of it will be self-reflection, the other five to six pages will need to be about other people's blogs that have a similar topic to mine. My blog was about books and writing, so that's what I'm looking for. The catch is at least one of the blogs has to be worse than my blog, so I can use it as an example of what not to do.
What I'm asking Reborn, is that if you know any blogs about writing that are either bad, disorganized, or easy to critique, let me know. If I can find one that's bad enough I can write a whole tow pages critiquing it, I'll be better off. I'm asking here since some people might know about some obscure blog they had to read in college.
So yeah, let me know if you have any ideas friends. (I also figured this wasn't a rant, but if this is in the wrong place, do let me know.)
(Dang it, I wasted my 1200th post for this?)

Metal Critics User Score for Injustice 2 is a 7.8.
Marvel Versus Capcom Infinite has a 4.4.
I think that should answer your question. If you were thrifty, however, you wouldn't get either of them and would wait a year or two until they went on sale. Then you could get the ultimate edition that comes with all the DLC for a better price. Buying new games is kind of a scam when you can just wait a few years to get them for seventy-five percent off.
Also, everyone apparently looks like their faces melted off in Infinite, and they removed some of the best characters due to copyright reasons, so there are no X-Men or Fantastic Four. -

or if you get whipped to death... or decapitated... or stand in the sun (depending on who you ask it will either drain you of your power, kill you or worst of all make you sparkle...)
When all else fails, just go with "What We Do In The Shadows" rules. (So stakes and sunlight being the best weapons against a vampire.) Crosses are pretty much used to keep a vampire away from you, but won't be able to kill them, and holy water just hurts them if used properly.
Honestly, vampires have so many weaknesses, it would make more sense to become a lich if you're seeking unholy immortality.
(Man, this is giving me all sorts of ideas for my "How To Not Get Killed By Magical Creatures" blog.)

Vampire. Because nothing beats immortality and knowledge of life, death and the beyond.
Well, I'd say having your soul damned to Hell if someone does manage to put a piece of wood through you kind of beats that.

A few years ago, I'd have probably said dragon, but seeing how overused they've become in pop culture, I'd probably say Griffon.
Why? Because it's a bird and a lion combined together that's big enough to ride! What's not to love! Birds of prey are probably one of my favorite species of animal, so griffons win for coolness points alone. Phionex would be a close second though, followed by Bigfoot, because Bigfoot.

I had Rep once... It was shiny and green...

Music for me is very important in building a mood. Music allows a game designer to give emotion to a scene without saying a word. Having a varied soundtrack is important though because anything no matter how good, can get tiresome after a while.

But Nintendo has still left so many unexplored gaming genres alone. Their policy has been (largely) to stick to single-player console games. And while that's obviously worked for them, they could realistically tap into all sorts of different things: like an online card game, RTS, FPS, or even a MOBA. Heck, especially a MOBA.
The thought of Nintendo trying to make a MOBA makes me shrivel up inside a little bit, but seeing as not even the Miiverse could survive long, the chances of Nintendo doing something like that seems diminished.
By that I mean, Nintendo probably doesn't want to do anything too multiplayer, since when that happens, it becomes essential to have people contact their teammates. Something like Mario Kart and Smash works with a simple formula, since it's typically every man for himself, but large scale team battling... That's when it becomes essential to have a voice chat. And with voice chat comes the hurtful and inappropriate comments Nintendo tries so hard to avoid.
Plus would they really want to compete with the other giants like that? Nintendo is typically a niche company, so expanding like that might be over reaching. (Especially after the Wii U incident.)
God I hope they share my sentiments.

I pains me to say it, but judging by how well Mario + Rabbids turned out, I wouldn't be shocked to see the Rabbids enter Smash. I'm not saying I'd like it because they are just the Minions before the Minions, but after seeing a play-through of the game and how people are already requesting a sequel, I wouldn't be surprised.
And seeing how Capcom scraped them in Marvel versus Capcom Infinite, I wouldn't mind seeing Phoenix Wright or Amaterasu in the next Smash game.

Do you have any other Pokemon? A good dark type move destroys the Deoxys with little to no effort.

Don't you love it when people hate on the newer generations, but refuse to address the genius of Pokemon like Bird Holding a Leek or Eggs or my personal favorite, Puddle of Sludge.

The lycanroc slam hurts. shame on you guys, he's rad. And he's only gonna get radder.
I should probably elaborate the Midday looks great, it's just the edgyness on Midnight is so bad I needed to get stitches from the cut. I have issues with Dawn, since it's pretty much a recolor. If you showed Dawn to me before I knew what Midday's Shiny Form looked like, I probably wouldn't have been able to tell that it was a new form entirely.

Alright, you kids seem to have been missing some of the worst of the worst, the trashiest of the trash, the most communist of the communist... Let Uncle Combat take you on a ride in my cough surub powered bobsled as I show you the true and utter pits of despair.
Number Five: Lycanroc (Midnight Form)
You people were talking about edgy, but this %&#@ing guy looks like someone's bad Sonic OC! Seriously, this freaking thing is a mangy disappointment, and looks like what would happen is Lanky Kong and The Wolfman had a demon spawn baby. I'm not even mention the Dusk form though. That one's just as bad.
Number Four: Magmortar
Oh my bloody God mate! What! Listen, I'm not afraid of clowns or anything, but Christ what the hell(o)!
Number Three: Charizard
Alright, Chirzard is probably the only one on this list that deserves a little mercy. This is no fault of its own, the fault lies in the fan base. Waaaay to many people drool over this lizard, which has propelled it to a stupidly popular levels of popularity. I don't even know what the big deal is, they look ok. I guess my gripes come from him being in Smash. Why did he need to be in Smash! Did it really need to Mega Evolutions!
Number Two: Kyurem
Listen, I never played Black or white Two, so when I see this guys Black and White forms, I get my jimmies in a rustle. Plus I'm not fan of this guy's hunchbacked design, or the fact that I could never catch him all those years ago.No, this isn't filler since I couldn't think of anything better.
An now, we've reached our wretched, wretched finale. Are you ready? I'm not! This next Pokemon is literally my most hated Pokemon, and was the reason I decided to even make this freaking list.
Number One: Dedenne
Yup. I'm one of those people. I can't stand Dedennes. And I'm fine with every other Pika clone in existence, but these little #&@$*&^s seemingly plague my life even since Game Freak forced it down our throats. Is it the lazy design, the forced fairy typing, the fact that it looks like an overweight Pikachu? I really don't know. I just have an irrational hatred of them, and hate that they seemingly keep showing up in other games like Mystery Dungeon and Smash.
But at the very least it can't get an worse... Right?
Oh.

That's odd... I don't recall there being any real relationship, besides an odd joke here and there.

I guess I posted this in the wrong section, so I've been given a warning. but I was wondering..... If I started another topic to ask for others' help so that I can make a .gif sprite folder, it wouldn't be a problem, right? I mean, does it break the Reborn community rules and stuff?
Breaking the rules? No, it really shouldn't. Quite a few people change sprites here and there simply to add some spice to the game, and since this is only an aesthetic change, there's no real harm to anyone else's games.
-
I mean, I've changed a few sprites here and there. As long as you rename the sprites to the appropriate file, it should work. I'm not sure if a .gif file would work though.

Will love to hear more about it. Of the big 3, reborn rejuv deso, it was rejuvantion's storyline where i didn't get to attached.
Really? That's interesting. I found Rejuvenation's story line to be a lot better than Reborn's (no offense to anyone.) Any reasons in particular?

(Warning, this post contains spoilers to Pokemon Reborn, and touches on some difficult subjects. If neither of these things are for you, I’d advise you to leave.)
I guess the only way you describe this is closure? I’m not really sure.
Hello Reborn community, this is Combat. You might remember me, or you might not. Chances are you won’t, it’s been a good few years since I was really active on this website. I hope all of you are doing well and general stuff like that. Seeing that this place is still around after all that time is a good sign I’d suppose.
Honestly, I never expected to really come back here again, but a little bit of my anxiety wouldn’t shut up about Reborn. It kind of felt like I just disappeared one day, which is exactly what happened. I was part of a beta test for a new version and lacked the willpower to grind up a team to fight the water gym. So I left, thinking I would avoid spoilers that way, and I never really came back.
Time passed and I would occasionally come around, posting things in the status bar to see if my “astonishing” sense of “humor” would get any attention, but it really didn’t. Not that that mattered though, as o was usually coming around to pick up the newest version of Rejuvenation. Frankly, I had kind of given up on Reborn as a game and stuck to Rejuvenation, which thankfully had a difficulty slider. A few weeks ago, I decided to give Reborn another shot, and with the help of the sandbox mode to even the odds, I plunged back in.
And then I watched Corey kill himself.
In the time between my two playthroughs of Reborn, which was two to three years, I’ve grown as a person and have had events occur in my life. Corey’s suicide had much more of an impact now. Suicide is a touchy topic for many people, and in media, it has to be handled very delicately. It was around this point that I realized something, something that made me feel a little sick to my stomach. I realized Corey had been a real person.
According to most sources, Corey had been a member of the Reborn roleplaying community who had killed himself in real life. Now while I’m well aware that you can’t really trust anything on the internet, I’ve never seen anything suggesting this isn’t the truth. Memorializing someone in a video game is actually a very beautiful thing to do, but in the case of Corey, it feels like a slap in the face. What’s worse, the least likable character in the game makes fun of him instantly after his death, and having a trench coat wearing ghost make us watch it again makes me feel a little ill.
So that’s why I’m done. This is my grand farewell. I would have liked to have left on a slightly more cheery note, but I really can’t consider the circumstances. A part of me really hopes I’m just overdramatic, or that Corey’s death isn’t even a real event and was made for drama's sake. I’ve had good memories with Reborn, but as life goes on and circumstances change, things change. Events like Corey’s virtual death become more meaningful. I understand that what I’m saying might come off as blasphemy, and if a moderator or an admin chooses to lock or delete this thread, I’m fine with that. I don’t believe I’ll be coming back, at least not as Combat, and it won’t be to download Reborn.
This tread really isn’t much, is it? In a way, it’s not for anyone but myself. It was almost like a weight has been affecting me for a while now that can only be vanquished by saying “I’m done” and walking away. I guess if there is anything to take away from this, is to know that life will get better. Even if the world seems set against you, and it doesn’t seem like there’s any hope left, suicide is never the answer.
I wish all of you a good night and hope you continue to prosper. As for me, I think I’ll be logging off for good now. I had a good time Reborn, and I met some incredibly nice people while I was here. Maybe we’ll cross paths one day, in a different branch of fate.
Peace!
