THanks All! I just started a few days ago so and I'm having so much trouble beating Shade and was hoping to find a fire stone while mining but it seems I've mined all the rocks I could.
Like Lostelle said, you can use a Blast Powder on a Mining Rock that you mined before. However, once you use the Blast Powder, it will disappear forever.
