      Sure, put any three things with something in common together and you can call them a trinity. I was just saying how the three starters have a "rock paper scissors" relationship and the "Ghost, Dark, Poison" combination does not. But hey, that's just convention, not the law.

      They have rock paper scissors on the 1/2s, in a way. The point is more to have types that don't necessarily have strengths against pokemon early in the game but may have weaknesses to them. For example, Ghost is more effective against itself, Dark is effective in certain specific early situations but not in most, and Poison can both be OP against and utterly destroyed by the earliest types introduced.
