  1. So, I've noticed a couple trainers that are apparently quite switch-happy. In that sense, they just kept switching out their pokemon. Without obvious reason. One was a trainer in lapis ward with mudkip, marshtomp and a wailmer, who kept switching against my horsea. Also in the first orderly-double battle in the orphanage-mission, the orderly with the tentacool, shiinotic and kadabra switched his pokemon literally every turn against my swellow and Shelly's Yanmega. There's a bunch more times where i observerd this kind of nonsensical mass-switching, but I dont remember exactly all of them. It makes some of these battles rather easy as the opponent just does not attack, but keeps switching until they only have a single mon left. They even sometimes switch back and forth, in the second double battle in the orphanage mission, the trainer with the clefairy and the persion kept switching back and forth between them while I was taking down the other side's Pokemon. I eventually took out the persian, and he went back to clefairy, and switched right over to golett.

  2. Pokerus doubles EV's gained from defeating any other pokemon, to be precise, its a free Macho Brace. Also, even if it gets cured, which the games portray as the Pokemon becoming immune to it, it still doubles the EV gains after that, any mon that has been infected has it forever. However, it can only spread to other Pokemon in your party (specifically, the ones next to it in the party list), if it is in its active state. So it definetly IS useful to infect some random mon you dont really intend to use, and store that in the PC so you can use it to infect more mons in the future. It doesnt have any downsides, and at least in the official games, it has (roughly) a 1 in 21845 chance to appear on any wild pokemon, so its rarer than shinies, but it can infect your party without you catching the pokemon.

These chances are probably massively increased for Reborn, similar to its much higher shiny rate.

  3. For the stickers, there is a guide for all of them, here:

However, you can also find an up-grade and a dubios disc lying around in the game, if you want to know where, this is where you want to look:

As for the dubious disc, you can actually miss it, and not be able to return to where it's found after you leave the area finishing its story. The Department Store Floor for evolution items is not accesible in E16 yet, and will take a lot longer to get to than finding the items on the map.

    - We've already seen that the scenes we were shown in shades gym don't necessarily correlate to death, like with Amaria (thank goodness). However it is possible that (Older) Lin will die near the end of the story. that death looked quite supernatural in origin (maybe an angry Arceus?)

To be precise, Shade outright tells us at the end of the WTC that only 2 of the scenes shown in his gym correlate to death, the other 2 do not. Since Corey and Kiki died, both Amaria and Lin will live. Ofcourse Lin could die by some other reason not shown, but the scene shown will not kill her. So, that leads to the question what actually happens to Lin in that scene, which we wont be able to know until it actually happens.

  5. The Entrance to Byxbysion Tunnels is in a house that lies on the way from the City to the Hideout. The Door is locked, and can be opened by activating all the blue pillars (or red, at any rate, switch the color once. The same pillars have been in Corey's Gym.) that are scattered across the wasteland. It can take some looking around to find them all, look out for some hard to see ledges to jump down.

  6. Started a new file (E16), and its in fact not there. So either you're on a previous episode... (Not Ep15, got that one backed up, not there either), or it doesnt always appear, which would be rather awkward.

You're wrong here. Reuniclus and Solosis are both available after Radomus. Beldum is only available after Ciel which is a huge difference. But yeah, you're right that either Reuniclus should be sooner or Alakazam later.

And I agree with you about Arcanine, the problem is that moving it would also move the Mystery Egg thing.

Talonflame could be earlier too especially since Gen 7 crushed Gale Wings. Jasper is way too early though.

There is also Gardevoir/Gallade who are available way too early (far before Alakazam and Solosis). Ame said whe might move Ralts to Neo Reborn (after Ciel) so let's se if she actually will.

However all in all it is impossible to really balance the availability of all mons. And Ame is doing a really good job already, the availability is far better balanced than any other pokemon game. There is also the fact that it makes even less sense to rebalance these with the online trading thing already out - if you wish a good mon early, there will always be someone to give it to you.

Beldum is avaiable after Luna. At least in E16, I did the event right before I went to Agate Circus.

  8. Well, here I come:

    Mega Lilligant

    Type: Fairy / Grass

Ability: Graceful Dancer (Doubles Statboosts from all Dance Moves)

    HP: 70

    Attack: 75 (+15)

    Defense: 75

    Special Attack: 170 (+60)

    Special Defense: 75

    Speed: 115 (+25)

    BST: 480 (->580)

Gains access to Revelation Dance, Dazzling Gleam and Play Rough

This set mainly focuses on the superpowered Quiver Dances, and with the boost to special attack it will start tearing through everything. Revelation Dance would be Fairy-type on the Mega, as it's primary typing changed. It's main weak point will be the rather narrow move pool, steel or poison-types will wall it quite effectively, aswell as being quite vulnerable to bullet punch.

Here are two sets I came up with:

    Special Sweeper

    Spoiler

    Lilligant @ Lilligantite

    Ability: Own Tempo (Graceful Dancer)

    EV's: 252 SpA, 252 Speed, 4 HP

    Modest Nature

    - Quiver Dance

    - Giga Drain

    - Revelation Dance

    - Hidden Power Ground / Sleep Powder

    Physical Sweeper

    Spoiler

    Lilligant @ Lilligantite

    Ability: Own Tempo (Graceful Dancer)

    EV's: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 4 HP

    Adamant Nature

    - Swords Dance

    - Petal Blizzard

    - Play Rough

    - Sleep Powder

  9. So, i'm just about done with everything up to E16, and there's just one thing I'm missing. TM for Sunny Day, which you get by defeating Maxwell in 7th.

However, he isn't there. I'm in Aqua Gang, done all its missions, got Rain Dance from Archer, and Maxwell is nowhere to be found. I even tried going back to E15, but he's still not there.

Did I screw up at some point?

  10. So, in my recent endeavor to complete the pokedex as far as possible, i stumbled upon a few mons i cant get but that are currently avaiable.

I need: Pinsir, Shroomish, Cacnea, Solrock, Chimchar, Shieldon and Vullaby

I don't care about their IV's or anything, just needing them for Dex Completion.

I am offering a variety of shinies (see Spoiler below), or one of 2 5IV-Zoruas (Defense is 18, or 12, not shiny)

    Spoiler

Shinies taken: Porygon, Staryu, Onix, Turtwig

  11. So, recently decided to train up a Zoroark to join my Backup-Team, and was a little dissappointed that the AI knows exactly that it's being tricked. E.g., as i trained on the Clown, I had my Zoroark take the appearance of my Charizard, and the enemy gliscor went right for an earthquake. While AI is sometimes unpredictable, i usually found the clown rather reliable in what moves he chooses, and his AI clearly knows he's fighting a Zoroark.

In addition to that, my zoroark is shiny, and sparkles even when taking the appearance of my nonshiny Charizard.

Also, when switching it out, it very briefly displays the name of my Zoroark before sending the next Pokemon in.

  12. Trying to complete my field notes before Episode 17 hits, and i'm still lacking 9 (rainbow) ,12 (desert) ,22 (???) ,24 (glitch) and 26(murkwater surface) (all of these are obtainable in E16 as far as i know)

I've been searching allover the damn Region, but i just can't seem to find these.

I've looked through the forums and saw a few posts about 9 - the Rainbow Field being in Coral ward, at the blind girl's quiz, but i've dealt with that and still do not have the field. When talking to her she just says that she's gonna get more questions later.

Does any1 know where these field notes are?

  13. So, I recently noticed while softresetting for nature-adjusting in 7th, that if i activate triple speed via alt, the time at the start of the game will display incorrectly.

I regularly have a time of 100:50 at the moment, and if i press alt prior to seeing the "Continue" Screen, it displays 33:36 instead. Exactly a third. It does not display incorrectly in the save-screen ingame, it displays 100:50 regardless of Speed there.

    Added screenshots of both here:

  14. So, just training up a mamoswine for backup in my party, and i wanted to give it iron head or knock off through the move tutor at seventh. But it says mamoswine isnt compatible for either.

In Gen 6, it could learn these... so I'm not quite sure why it can't now. Does anyone know if I'm doing something wrong?
