Freedom, is something that you need to actively acquire. It’s not something that’s given with no strings attached. To be free means to take responsibility, and to prepare yourself for what’s to come.

It is hard to be responsible for people. You can get hurt in that position. So, people would rather say they are free and destroy the people around them because they won't take responsibility for themselves. I don't think a lot of people really care about the ramifactions of their actions, becuase they don;t have any, other people suffer for them, and therefore they don't have to deal with it.
