* whether in a negative light or a positive one It hard to forget something you see plastered everywhere. Hell... this happened in the game industry recently.

I don't remember the name of whatever it was... but Steam pulling it from the store got people interested. "Oh my god... it was so terrible Steam put it off their store. What don't they want me to see?" that sorta of thing starts. It drives interest. And what would have been an otherwise forgettable title got a crazy boom in sales etc... Bad press doesn't simply exist. Because all press means people see your name and your product in such cases.

That makes them want to see what all the fuss is about, to see if the bad press is true etc... and Politics is one of the biggest places this is employed.
