  1. Just some advice for Noel: have Arbok corrupt the field with sludge wave, then have Wishcash use muddy water. It not only gets a boost from the field, but also gains an additional poison-typing, making his Clefable easier to deal with.

Anyway, great job with the run so far! Keep up the good work!

  2. Update #36: The Swag Jockey's Last Race

Amazingly, Fern (despite being overleveled) was actually pretty easy. I led with Zuzu the Blue Wrecking Ball of Death, and he led with Fraxure (the only Pokemon on his team whose level was roughly comparable to my Pokemon). As to be expected, Zuzu handed its armored rump to it in one turn. Krookodile went down pretty fast to Zuzu, too; despite Fern's best efforts to heal it back up, he ultimately fainted from a few play roughs. Fern then sent out his ace: Roserade. I had Oomph Judge attempt to take him out, but even though she almost took him out, she ultimately fainted from a single extrasensory. Fortunately, a very angry George let his villainous 50% take over and incinerated both the field and the Roserade with a heat wave. Fern sent out Scyther next, but the poor bug got one-shot by a flaming smack down from Jay Glasnost. Fern finished off with his most problematic Pokemon: Serperior. I had Icky confuse him with swagger (surprisingly, the universe didn't explode from too much swag in one place at one time) and did a great deal of damage with some crunches, but ultimately he fell due to field damage and leech seed. Awesome Grum, however, was able to stall Serperior out until it fainted from the field damage. "I think we all know who the top dog around here is." Yeah... me. =3 Now then, it's time for me to work my way through the heck that is Route 1. If I don't post by this Tuesday, send help.

    The team so far:

    006.pngGF%VJTVCVJyj (AKA 50% Villainous George) - Lv. 50 (Male)

184.pngZuzu (AKA YOU AIN'T TAKIN' THIS FROM ME, AME!!!) - Lv. 48 (Female)

076.pngJ glshnotipw (AKA Jay Glasnost) - Lv. 49 (Female)

571.pngasw ugrvhm (AKA Awesome Grum) - Lv. 49 (Male)

P.S. By the way, did anybody else notice that the trainers on Route 1 were based on the "What type are you" quiz on the main page? For example, there's a guy who has a Luxray and an underleveled Gothita who says he should trade away one of his Pokemon, there's a guy with a Starmie and Skarmory who says that he'll have to EV train his Pokemon more, etc.

  3. Update #35: The First Noel the Angels Did Sing

Well, as in all my playthroughs, Noel was a pain in the rump. It took me many, many tries (even more than Serra!), and I usually lost to his Cinccino, his Porygon-Z, or his freaking Clefable. Softboiled + Cosmic Power = AAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH. On the attempt that I actually succeeded on, I led with DJ Bagel C. and he led with Wigglytuff. Since both the DJ and Wigglytuff were male, the DJ's rivalry allowed him to one-shot the Wigglytuff with a sludge wave (corrupting the field in the process) before it could set up stealth rocks. Next up came his most problematic Pokemon- Porygon-Z. I switched out to George, causing the Porygon-Z to boost his useless attack stat instead of boosting something useful. George started spamming heat wave until he fainted, but his fall was not in vain; he burned the Porygon-Z and weakened it enough for Oomph Judge to swoop in and finish him. Noel sent out his Girafarig, and I countered by sending out Awesome Grum. Grum survived a thunderbolt from the Giraffe and a half and took it out with one night daze. Noel sent out his Swellow next, but Jay Glasnost (who I sent out to counter it) not only survived a facade, but went on to one-shot it with a critical-hit- and field-boosted smack down. Cinccino came out next, but its attacks did almost nothing to the DJ, and he took it out with a sludge wave and a poison jab after poisoning it. Finally came Clefable, but amazingly, it didn't put up much of a fight! Sure, it fought back a little with moonblast and raised its defenses with cosmic power, but it wasn't anything that the DJ couldn't handle, and he poison jab'ed the thing into oblivion. Onwards to Route 1!

  4. Update #34: OH S#@% IT'S AN ABRA!

The PULSE Abra was... anticlimactic, to say the least. I led with Jay Glasnost, and ZEL led with the Abra. Jay tanked a hyper beam thanks to sturdy, and then proceeded to wreck the Abra with a bulldoze and an earthquake before fainting t a field-boosted dark pulse. Awesome Grum tried to land the finishing blow, but Abra outsped him and took him out with a hyper beam. Fortunately, this tired the Abra out, allowing Havoc Buck to end it with a stone edge. ...Yeah, that's it. That was the whole fight. Anyway, with that out of the way, it's time to head out and take on Noel for real! I am soooooo not looking foward to it.

  5. Update #33: Attack of the 50-Foot Steelix

Well... Steelix was.... It's hard to say. I mean, it went by pretty fast, but a lot of my team got knocked out, so I'm gonna average it out and say that it went well. I led with Vinyl and the Steelix led with... well, the Steelix, obviously. To my surprise, earthquake only hit the Steelix for not very effective damage. Did the field effect do something to that? Anyway, after earthquake did barely anything, I used superpower, which did significantly more damage. Unfortunately, Vinyl fainted on the same turn. I sent out Awesome Grum next, and he did significantly more damage with foul play before fainting. Havoc Buck came out next, but he wasn't able to do much before fainting. George, on the other hand, took out at least a third of the Steelix's health with a heat wave before fainting from Steelix's stone edge. Iustina came out next, and she managed to knock off even more of the Steelix's health with a close combat. Steelix still survived the hit, though, and retaliated with a stone edge... but amazingly, Iustina held on with just 3 HP, and proceeded to wreck the Steelix with one last close combat! That is probably right up there with the field effect working against the PULSE Muk as one of the best moments of the playthrough. Anyway, with that out of the way, it's time to take on the PULSE Abra!

    The team so far:

  6. Update #32: Psychotherapy

Well, Sigmund went pretty well, but having three ground types on my team at the time probably helped a lot. Sigmund led with his Jolteon, while I led with Jay Glasnost. Jay tanked a super-effective hidden power, and then one-shot Jolteon with a mighty earthquake. Next came his Lanturn... and honestly, I didn't know what to use to counter it. I eventually decided to send out Oomph Judge, who put up a good fight with acrobatics, but ultimately fainted. I then decided to send out Vinyl, who would be able to take a water-type move without taking super-effective damage. Sure enough, she managed to take Lanturn down with a few earthquakes, prompting Sigmund to stop toying with me and send out his ace: Electivire. I sent out Icky because I knew for certain that Electivire had an ice-type move, so senting out a ground-type would be suicide. After missing a couple times and getting healed back to full health with a berry ice cream, Icky managed to hit Electivire with swagger, causing it to confuse itself and cause it to do enough damage to itself (for some reason, I imagine it hurting itself by charging into walls, knocking down all of Laura's bookcases) for Icky to take him out with a crunch. With his ace gone, Sigmund sent out his next-best Pokemon: Eelektross. I sent out one of our newest team members: DJ Bagel C. the Nidoking! The DJ managed to poison Eelektross with poison jab, and from there onwards all I had to do was just alternate between fighting back with poison jab and sludge wave and heal until Eelektross fainted. Sigmund then sent out his own Luxray, who cut the DJ's attack with intimidate (which, admittedly, wasn't too bad, since the DJ's attacks were mostly special attacks) and confused him with swagger. Luckily, the DJ still managed to focus enough to finish Luxray with earth power, leading a desperate Sigmund to send out his last and most problematic Pokemon: Rotom. I sent out George, but George obviously didn't get much done before fainting (although he did manage to do some damage with heat wave and heal the DJ back up). The DJ came back out next, but he was only able to get off a single shadow ball before fainting. Icky came out to avenge him, but the poor thing didn't even get a single attack off before fainting thanks to confusion. Finally, with Rotom at a sliver of health, I sent out Vinyl. Panicking, the Rotom began evasive maneuvers with double team and confused Vinyl, fortunately, Vinyl broke through both setbacks and ended the Rotom with a single dragon claw. When Sirius entered the house, I chose to stop Sigmund simply because I heard that Saphira would get kidnapped if I did so... and boy howdy, do I feel sorry for Sigmund. I imagine a hyper beam to the face like that would hurt like heck. Sorry about the hole in your wall, Laura. Time to save Saphira!

  7. Update #31: Have an Ice day

Hey! Sorry for the delay between this post and the last; I figured that since I wouldn't be fighting Serra while she had a field, I would ramp up the fight's difficulty by fighting her on the SET battle style... and great merciful Helix, it was HARD. On the run that I finally beat her on, I led with Iustina and she led with Cloyster. Iustina did what she does best and started force-palming that spiky oyster into paste. Serra took me by surprise and switched out to Abomasnow, but Iustina still did massive damage to it. Eventually, she not only took out Abomasnow but also took down Cloyster when she switched back out to it. Unfortunately, she had taken a beating during those turns, and got knocked out in one hit by Serra's ace- her Froslass. Froslass didn't fare so well against Awesome Grum, though; he broke through all her evasion and one-shot her with a night daze. He even night daze'd her Avalugg into oblivion and did considerable damage to her Cryognal before getting knocked out by said Cryognal! George came out and finished what Grum started, shrugging off freeze-drys left and right and taking out Cryognal.

Now, you might be thinking, "All she has left is her Lapras. That can't be too bad, can it?"

    OH, IT'S BAD.

Seriously, on all of my previous attempts, that Lapras either took me out directly or left me so crippled that the rest of her team could easily do me in. On this run, George obviously didn't last long before getting knocked out, Icky didn't get any damage off before fainting, and Havoc Buck didn't even get to attack. Luckily, I had my trusty ace up my sleeve- Zuzu the Blue Wrecking Ball of Death. Zuzu set up aqua ring to negate the hail damage, and started spamming play rough. At that point, it was pretty much just "spam play rough and pray Zuzu outlives Lapras". And, thanks to a well-placed berry ice cream, she did! With my sixth badge earned, it's time to go get that medicine and brace for the upcoming meteor attack!

  8. Update #30: Larval Stage

Well, Bennett was fairly easy. He led with Larvesta, and I led with Oomph Judge. Oomph Judge took out Larvesta in one hit. Honestly, if I was smart, I could have had Oomph Judge sweep his whole team, but I decided to try and give the whole team some experience. Next, I sent out Jay Glasnost and he sent out Masquerian. Poor Jay was only able to set up stealth rocks before she got taken out, and to add insult to injury Masquerian got a stat boost off of the silver wind it used to knock out Jay. Havoc Buck came out next, with rage in his eyes, and fought the Masquerain in an epic clash that involved all of Bennett's berry ice cream and several well-placed stone edges, culminating in the Masquerain's defeat. He sent out a Dustox next, and I sent out George, who was sporting some new tricks from the move tutor. He took out the Dustox with his two newest moves, air slash and heat wave. Bennett then sent out his Vivilion, and I sent out Iustina. Iustina fought hard with several knock offs, but ultimately the satanic butterfly kissed her to death. What a way to go. Luckily, I finally got smart and had Oomph Judge use acrobatics on the butterfly demon, taking it down instantly. The rest of the battle (his Butterfree and his beautifly, I think, correct me if I'm wrong) was pretty much just "have Oomph Judge spam acrobatics and watch the bugs crumble". Anyway, onward to Serra!

  9. So, I have to do an infographic for art class, and I was planning on doing one as a flowchart for which starter you should choose for Pokémon Reborn. Do you guys think you could give me some info about the starters (ex. what starters make for an easy game, what starters make for a fairly-difficult game, what starters make for a hard game, what each starter has going for them, etc.)? I'd really appreciate it! <3

  10. WHOA, WHAOOHWOIAJKCKMAS KDJFHASJKFKWJF WHOA

    WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT

WHY IS THAT PIDOVE IN THE BOX????

    DON'T YOU KNOW????

YOU GOTTA TAKE THAT BOY OUT, HE'S GONNA EVOLVE INTO A POWERFUL STARAPTOR!!!!

    SMH PEOPLE DISRESPECTING THE POWER

but in all seriousness, this is hella cool. i like the whole idea :]

but take that pidove out the box, you gotta evolve it into a powerful staraptor

Aw, thanks! I'm glad you like it; I hope that maybe I'll inspire somebody to try this challenge themselves. Oh, and even if Pidove did evolve into a POWERFUL STARAPTOR, I've already got plenty of flying-types to work with (ex. Charizard, Crobat, Pidgeot, etc.), so I'm not sure I'd use it. For what it's worth, the Pidove line did prove incredibly effective for TPP Black and Blaze Black 2.

Also, in other news, I've revived a ton of the fossil gods! Check them out in the main post!

  11. Sub-Update #2: Achievements!

So, If you checked the front post, I've added achievements to the run! Basically, these are a way to record extra side-challenges that I don't have any other way of recording, such as the release of a fire-type starter mentioned above. What aditional achievements would you guys like to see me tackle?

  12. Update #29: This Just Got Sirius

So, Sirius went pretty well; I remember hearing that his Pokemon have higher levels than Sigmund's, so I'm glad I got that over with first. I led with Iustina, Cain led with Nidoking, and he led with Hitmontop and Chandelure. Despite having her attack lowered thanks to Hitmontop's intimidate, Iustina still did some pretty serious damage to Chandelure with knock off. Sirius quickly pulled Chandelure out for Probopass, but a turn later Iustina managed to one-shot it with a force palm. Poor Cain, on the other hand, was doing pitiable little damage with Nidoking. Chandelure came back out, and took out both Iustina and Nidoking with a heat wave. Seeking to take out Nidoking quickly, I sent out Awesome Grum... only for Grum to get taken out in the very same turn thanks to a high jump kick from Hitmontop. Oops. Cain sent out Venomoth, and I sent out Icky. Icky took out the Channdelure with a crunch, while Cain whittled away at Hitmontop. I tried having Icky use thunder fang on Hitmontop, but Sirius' newly sent-out Manectric took the hit with lightningrod, raising its special attack. Oops. Luckily, Cain and I took out Manectric fairly quickly, with Cain losing his Venomoth and sending out his Haunter. Haunter finally managed to take out Hitmontop while I healed Icky, and the next turn Cain and I took out Seviper together. Sirius' Honchcrow used swagger on Icky, confusing him; luckily, Icky managed to survive two turns of hitting himself in the face and took out Honchkrow (which Sirius had put to sleep). With the kids rescued, it's time to get out of here!

  13. Update #28: A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Wasteland

Aya was a bit of a pain, but still pretty easy compared to Solaris. I led with Icky and Oomph Judge, and she led with Nidoqueen and Tentacruel. I had Icky thunder fang tentacruel, and Oomph Judge use acrobatics on Nidoqueen. They both survived, but Aya spent the next two turns healing both her Pokemon (one Pokemon per turn). In the aftermath of those three turns, Icky had fainted due to poison damage and I had to switch out for Awesome Grum. Luckily, I took out Tentacruel with Oomph Judge the very next turn, then took out her Gengar in that same turn as soon as she sent it in. Dragalgae came up next, and eventually managed to sludge wave poor Oomph Judge into oblivion, but Awesome Grum managed to take out a great deal of Dragalgae's health before getting knocked out himself. George and Vinyl came out on the field next, and the two of them working together (George hovered over Vinyl's earthquake, which still did decent damage despite the nerf) managed to take out both Dragalgae (which, by the way, was knocked out by a sludge wave from its teammate) and Nidoqueen, leaving only her Drapion and her Venusaur. Venusaur went down rather quickly to a few flame bursts from George, but not before taking out Vinyl with a power whip. It was too little, too late, though; Havoc Buck and George managed to gang up on Drapion and take it out within two turns with flame bursts and dig. Time to save those kids!

  14. So, for those not aware, a Delta Pokémon is a Pokemon that has a different type that its species normally doesn't have, such as a Psychic/Fairy Bulbasaur. They originated in the Trading Card Game, but have been included in fan games such as Pokemon Insurgence. As mentioned in my post about fanmade mega evolutions, I'm planning on making a fan game myself, and I was planning on putting Delta Pokemon in. What Delta Pokemon would you like to see? You can describe the Delta Pokemon you'd like to see like this:

    [Pokémon's Name and Evolutions]

    [Type]

    [Ability]

    [inspiration]

    For example:

    Chespin/Quilladin/Chesnaught

    Steel/Fire

Iron Will (New ability, boosts steel-type moves in a pinch) / Filter

Due to Chasnaught's similarities to Bowser, I figured I'd make him and his evolutionary line bowser-themed. The iron typing was also inspired by a GameXplain video, as they theorized that Quilladin and Chesnaught would be part Steel-type.

    Fennekin/Braixen/Delphox

    Ghost/Fairy

Faerie Call (New ability, boosts Ghost-type moves in a pinch) / Pressure

The Ghost typing comes from a fanart I saw of a Braixen and a Mismagius fusion. The Fairy typing comes from the aforementioned GameXplain video, in which they theorized that Braixen and Delphox would be part Fairy-type.

    Froakie/Frogadier/Greninja

    Ground/Fighting

Battle Aura (New ability, boosts Fighting-type moves in a pinch) / Sand Force

The Ground typing helps it to better counter Chespin. The Fighting typing comes from the aforementioned GameXplain video, in which they theorized that Frogadier and Greninja would be part Fighing-type.

  15. Update #27: Pony Up, Swag Jockey

Fern, like Cain, was a cakewalk compared to the nightmare that was Solaris. He led with Ferrothorn, and I led with Iustina. Iustina survived a wasteland-powered power whip and started smacking the freaky iron durian into submission, but before she could finish the job Fern cowardly pulled it out and switched in his Krokorok... which was promptly bitch-slapped by Iustina into oblivion on the very same turn. Great job, Fern, great job. He decided to hold off on sending Ferrothorn back out and sent out Roserade instead, so I switched out to George. George got but to sleep but woke up thanks to a full heal, and proceeded to incinerate Roserade with flame burst until it fainted, tanking hits left and right. Fern sent out sent out Scyther next, but Scyther got onne-shot by Havoc Buck the Steelix (and Buck learned dig in the process, which I imagine will be very helpful in the upcoming gym battle). Ferrothorn came out again, and just as quickly got sent back after Iustina smacked him like crazy before it could even attack. Up last came his Serperior, and to counter it I sent out my newest ace up my sleeve - Oomph Judge the Crobat! Despite being seeded, Oomph Judge managed to acrobatics the heck out of Serperior and took it out before it could do major damage. Time to take on Aya! ...Assuming the poor thing isn't too traumatized from her encounter with Fern...

  16. Update #26: The Mark of Cain

Well, compared to Solaris, the battle against Cain was actually kind of fun and refreshing. I led with a freshly-evolved Havoc Buck, who took out Cain's Venomoth with just a couple of Rock Slides. I then switched to Iustina to take on his Samurott, and the two got into a close struggle that ended with Iustina fainting. Fortunately, Samurott was on the verge of fainting, so Awesome Grum was able to swoop in and take him out. Next came Cain's ace: Nidoking. I sent out Vinyl to deal with him, but the poor thing eventually got knocked out. She managed to do a decent amount of damage to him, though, so Jay Glasnost could and take him out. Cain then sent out his Muk, so I sent out George. George had a little trouble hitting him and wasn't doing a terribly great amount of damage with flame burst. George eventually fainted, but did enough damage for Havoc Buck to rock slide him to death. Cain's last Pokemon was his Haunter, but Awesome Grum managed to outspeed and one-shot him, giving me the right to enter the wasteland. See you next time for the Fern battle!

  17. Update #25: I WIN! MY WIN! ARIN WINS! SILVER WINS! SONIC WINS!

So.... Yeah. The battle against Solaris (after several rough starts and almost-wins) went more or less like I described in Update #24.5. I led with George, got off six smokescreens, and (in a deviaation to the aforementioned plan) had Iustina knock off his leftovers. I tried getting off a belly drum sweep, too, but Iustina got knocked out before that could happen. Jay set off a couple bulldozes, slowing down Garchomp considerably, and Zuzu proceeded to seriously damage him until getting knocked out. Awesome Grum then lived up to his name (the awesome part, not the Grum part) and did a serious amount of damage to Garchomp with foul play before getting knocked out. With only Vinyl left, I used my only max revive on Zuzu, and chipped away at Garchomp's health before finally succumbing to a dragon rush. Fortunately, Zuzu was able to take out Garchomp, earning me.... absolutely nothing except bragging rights. I knew I wasn't gonna get anything going into the battle, but I kind of wish we'd get something from beating it, even if it was only some more money. Anyway, Kiki and her Medicham died, taking with them my fifth badge, and Cain finally allows me to go into the wasteland and get my actual fifth badge.

Also, I'd like to take a moment to celebrate the 25th status update on this thread! Thanks to everybody who's reading this and read it in the past, and I'll see you all next time for the penultimate battle against Cain!

  18. Update #24.5: CODE RED DEF CON ONE

Um... Yeah... I have good news and bad news.

The bad news is that I'm definitely not going to take a dive in the Solaris fight, and my main hope of taking him out (a Slakoth with a focus sash and flail) did a pitiable amounnt of damage to him.

The good news is that I think I've cobbled together a desperate backup plan:

    1) Send out George the Charizard with a focus sash.

    2) Soft reset until I can get at least three smokescreens off.

    3) Have Jay Glasnost the Golem spam bulldoze until Garchomp hits the minimum speed.

    4) Have Zuzu the Azumarill spam play rough.

    5) Pray.

    6) ???

    7) Profit.

If anyone gets any better ideas with the Pokemon available to me, please, let me know. I'd greatly appreciate it.

  19. Update #24: Your Lips are Movin', Goin' Blah, Blah, Blah

Taka was pretty darn hard, not gonna lie. Especially that Chatot. I led with Vinyl, and he led with Klefki. Vinyl broke the field with an earthquake, while Klefki tried to hit Vinyl with a mirror shot. After a turn futilely using an ultra potion, Taka decided to switch out to his Cradily, and a turn later I switched out to Iustina... right into a confuse ray. Oof. Luckily, Iustina didn't hit herself in the face too many times and eventually broke through the confusion to take out Cradily. Kelfki came back out, and got smacked out by an eartquake from Vinyl. Floatzel came out next, and I sent out Icky. Icky took negligible damage from Floatzel, and set up a charged, field-boosted thunder fang, which took out Floatzel in one hit. Finally came the tough bit: Chatot. (Fun fact: Taka was named after his Chatot.) I kept Icky out, but the poor thing got burned by Chatot's heat wave. Despite this, he managed to get off two thunder fangs that the RNG gods decided to have the field super-boost, taking out Chatot while it just decided to set up a nasty plot for some reason, and ending my final (at least in this episode) battle with Taka. Now then, if you excuse me, I have to desperately cobble something together before taking on the Garchomp. It's not gonna be a fun few minutes.

  20. Update #23: Eclipse of the Moon

For some reason, Aster and Eclipse were a little easier than I remember. I led with Awesome Grum (who I had leveled up and brought back onto the team) and Icky, and they led with Solrock and Lunatone. Solrock went down fast to a night slash from Grum, while the newly sent-out Rhydon got hit with a bite from Icky. The next turn, Lunatone almost got taken out with a night slash from Grum, and Rhydon got confused from a swagger by Icky. I took advantage of Rhydon's boosted attack by having Grum use foul play, knocking out Rhydon, while Lunatone was severely injured by a bite from Icky. The next turn, Aster and Eclipse sent out their Magmar, which injured Grum greatly with a mach punch, but Grum lived and got off one last night slash on Magmar while Icky took out their Lunatone with a bite. Grum finally went down the next turn, so I sent out a freshly-evolved Vinyl the Vibrava... only for her to get smacked with a confuse ray the very first turn she came out. -_- The next turn, Vinyl hit herself while Icky managed to pull off a charged-up bite. He then got burned from Magmar's flame body. Woohoo. As you could imagine, Icky went down the next turn, while Vinyl continued to keep punching herself in the face from confusion. George replaced Icky on the battlefield, and promptly got both paralyzzed and confused. Luckily, since most of his moves weren't all that effective in that scenario anyway, I used him to heal up Vinyl, who snapped out of confusion and took out Magmar and Electabuzz with two earthquakes. All that was left was their Milotic, who unceremoniously one-shot Vinyl with a hydro pump. I sent out Iustina next, and while Milotic decided for some reason that using recover at full health would be a great idea, Iusina set up a belly drum, got healed during the next turn, and took out Milotic with a single force palm. Onwards to Taka!

  21. Update #22: Shattered Focus

Kiki was kind of hard, but once I managed to get my team right she wasn't too bad. She led with Machamp, I led with Zuzu the Blue Wrecking Ball of Death. Zuzu outsped Machamp and took it out with a single play rough. The poor hing never had a chance. Kiki sent out Gallade next, and I sent out Icky. Icky took a hit, began charging, and dodged a rock slide to take out Gallade with a supercharged thunder fang. Toxicroak came out next, so I sent out trusty ol' Bird Wodin. Bird Wodin took a little damage, but kept smacking away with wing attack until Toxicroak went down and Kiki ran out of ultra potions. The climax of the fight came with Kiki's main, Medicham, who had given me a ton of trouble on my previous attempts at Kiki. I sent out my trump card, Zuzu the BWBD. Zuzu got hit pretty hard with a drain punch, but Zuzu managed to tank it and one-shot Medicham with a play rough. Hey, I never said it was a climatic climax. The actual most challenging part of the fight came with the battle against Kiki's Hitmonlee. I sent out George, but George got taken out before he could do any major damage. I sent out Iustina next, but she, too, got taken out fast. I finally managed to take Hitmonlee out with Bird Wodin's help, and even then it was because Hitmonlee decided to use meditate instead of an attacking move. Finally came Lucario, who I countered by sending out Jay Glasnost. Jay took an aura sphere thanks to her sturdy ability, and one-shot Lucario with an Earthquake, earning me... a glimpse into Kiki's troubled inner life. Yay. Anyway, at least I get my badge... what? I have to find Cain? Can't I just have it now? No? Okay...
