Looks pretty cool, just hope it comes out before Sun and Moon so I don't have to wait until I'm done with that to play this. But man my Clefable will love this field since it has Moonblast, cosmic power, and meteor mash and my mawile pokemon catcher should be tanky enough to handle the legendaries.

[Your first shiny]

I first encountered shinies in my Pokemon Zeta run but every single one was already owned by a trainer, grunt, or gym leader. That game got so troll-ish at times. My first ever one I caught, which was in reborn, was a Swadloon.

In official games it was a Kecleon in Alpha Sapphire. I got really lucky in AS but mainly since I somehow caught two shiny Petilil almost back to back in a Mirage Island. Though the funny thing I was so excited about the first that I somehow didn't notice I had gotten a second until much later. Love those two to bits.

[Terrible Shiny Pokemon?]

Magmar and Magmortar even normally they look a bit goofy but the pink shinies just doesn't suit them at all. Also the Gothi line, another one that is only two shades from the original and with Gothita the only difference is they eyes. Machamp, Fearow, marowak, and Stantler are other mon that just look awful in green.

I'd imagine it would be fine. In Solo runs you are allowed to use another mon as an HM slave/expert you just can't use it to fight. So I imagine as long as you don't use it to fight and level it up like you would a magikarp it would be fine as long as you just use it as a headbutter. Besides in order to get lileo you'd need to get one to bibarel anyway. Also in cases of monotypes where there isn't a starter with that eventual typing you're allowed to use a starter until you find one of your chosen type. Though I'm not familiar with the specific rules of Monotype runs.

Hopefully perish song still works on this field, Otherwise my godslayer Jynx is almost useless. Still, I might have to train up an Omastar just for the holy field fights, just for the lulz. But man, the next Arceus fight is going to brutal. I can't imagine Ame making it anything lower than level 100.

[DMCA Compliance Complaint]

I figured it was an April Fool's joke because of the forums still being up and that late last year Nintendo announced that they were allowing fans to use nintendo stuff in non-commercial projects, and Reborn probably falls under that. So I don't think we have any worries of any actual DMCAs.

Still, that was a clever yet very evil April Fool's joke.

[Favorite Pokemon.]

Favorite mon... this is a toughie so I'll do my top 5.

Gothitelle and Lilligant are tied for first place. I love lilligant because she's adorable and can be a beast at times, also she was one of my first mon. I love Gothitelle's design, she's gorgeous and she's got a great moveset/ability combo that makes her a great thief. Mawile is Fantastic, they have great movesets/resistances and they have cool mix of cute and menacing. My two others are Magmortar, since he was my very first starter, and Sceptile. Both are absolute badasses and just look awesome.

Though Infernape, Camerupt, and Ludicolo have been growing on me a lot.

[New Field Effects Making a Splash!]

That Underwater field... and I thought the ice field and fire gym's field were brutal. Good thing I raised half an army of pokemon in the intermission times. My octillary, ludicolo, lilligant, and eelectric will be especially useful in these. Maybe even my veteran pachirisu and beautifly too. Still, if these are the normal water fields I shudder to think what the one for the water gym is like.

[A Fistful of Field Effects]

With these field effects it's getting almost to the point with gym battles that you have to target the secondary type and avoid the traditionally super effective mon like the plague. Fortunately I've been training a few off-type mon in the between times to take care of some of the future gyms. Still, Aya will be annoying when I eventually replay this. Though I'm going to hold off on replaying until it is complete.

[13.2 Take two]

One way to keep file sizes down could be to do what Suze did for Zeta/Omicron and have a full download for those starting and a patch/update set for those who already downloaded the game. It would come with instructions on which files/folders to copy in and which ones to delete. But Z/O's mechanics might have been simpler so it's probably not feasible for Reborn.
