    Trivia Time: In the Red and Blue Beta, Lapras was going to be called "Ness" (loch ness monsta ehehe). Excluding Mega Evolutions and Legendaries, Lapras's base stat total of 535 is the highest of all unevolved Pokemon. Lapras also just happens to be Veronica Taylor's favorite Pokemon.
