Below you will find information regarding important battles during the game. The information will cover general information, what Pokemon each trainer has, and some strategies that can be used to defeat said trainer. Any of the gym leader battles as well as any boss/admin type battle are included in this list. That means that rival battles involving Victoria, Cain, or Fern have been omitted.
Also, sorry for all the posts. This is a lot of info and definitely won't fit in one post.
NOTE: Details mostly haven't been included yet due to the length it took to create this whole list. It will be updated by the end of the week. Also, I don't know why all of the info isn't aligned properly. It looks fine in editing. I'll look into it later.
But first, there’s a few things that I want to mention.
I haven't decided if I am going to include details of Admin battles since most people don’t seem to have many problems with them. Only the ones that people get stuck on (such as Aster & Eclipse in Route 3) will have details on how to beat them. If you want me to put information regarding every battle, let me know. I’m just trying to save myself some time atm.
Also, this is not 100% correct. Just like the Pokemon Location guide, this will be updated every now and then. I have made some assumptions on certain battles because I could not fish out a particular move or ability that I needed. Please let me know if something is wrong and I will fix it. Mainly held items were kind of a pain to figure out unless it was leftovers..
Hopefully this will reduce the amount of questions brought up on the forums.

If we are referring to any character in the game, it's definitely Cal. I really like the design that he has as well as his mood. I'm stoked for the day he returns in the game. Who knows, maybe he will return next episode since we will be seeing Blake.
-
The idea of Amaria losing her memory seems to be the ideal situation. Knowing Ame, anything is possible. For all we know, Shade could resurrect Kiki and she turns evil and joins Team Meteor. Plot Twist: that's when Victoria returns to the fight.
-
Have fun with that strength puzzle. I'd recommend quicksaving right before you begin slowly work from one side to the other. Once you get that the Yureyu key as well as Solosis are yours.
-
Interesting idea. I'm really loving all these new ideas other than nuzlockes. Those are just too overdone these days.
-
The only significant choice that truly affects the game is when you decide to fight Sigmund or Sirius. Choosing one of them only allows you to fight the other later in the game. And in the end, it still doesn't affect the main storyline. You just miss some optional text that may or may not be considered important.
-
Etesian is right, Haunter was replaced. Corey now has Skrelp, Croagunk, Grimer, Nidorina, Skuntank, and Crobat.
-
Where all the Tauros in Bouffalant are. You go the Northeast corner of the main part of Route 1. The building there you talk to one of the scientists. I don't remember the specifics of what it is you need to get it from the scientist.
He just gives it to you when you talk to him.
-
Since you've beaten Noel, grab the Itemfinder at the Nature center on Route 1. There's a ton of heart scales lying all over the place. It's much faster than farming Luvdisc's for Heart Scales. There's several in Reborn City. Specifically there is one on Beryl Bridge, one near the Pokemon Center in Peridot Ward, and one located over in the Obsidia Garden/Park
-
Croagunk is "technically" the only legitimately available Pokemon from his arsenal right now. You can technically get 2 others, but that's really something I shouldn't be mentioning. There are older threads discussing this. I'd recommend using the search feature to find out more.
-
The circus games give you Archen and Tirtouga, the 5th gen fossils. The Jaw and Sail fossils are only obtainable through the Helix event in 7th Street. Perform the requests from the cult and get your choice in either fossil. Once you complete this sidequest, simply bringing another Helix fossil to the cult will reward you again with your choice of the Jaw or Sail fossil.
-
You can buy the Soul Candle later in the game I'm pretty sure, so you can get both Pumpkaboo and Litwick at a certain point in the game.
-
The woman is sometimes found in 7th street, and is looking for an OddishWeed, which can be found at Route 1. If you give it to her, she hands you a Chespin egg.
She's found at 7th street in the morning, to be exact. Also, the OddishWeed is technically found in South Aventurine Woods, not Route 1.
-
You can access it once you defeat Radomus, which would be your next gym badge. There are Ability Capsules that can be found as hidden items. One in is the Underground Stairway.
-
Shroomish got the axe a few episodes back and hasn't been put back in the game. I'd also suggest a Leafeon if you need a good physical grass type. If or when you get to Charlotte, I'm sure Roserade and Ludicolo can learn Rain Dance. That will give you some help against her, but she's still going to be a nightmare.
-
You get an EXP Share out of it.
-
I thougth of something, like every gymleader has a stratergy agains the type that we always think has the best chanse. Like Carlotte, you wan't to use a water type against a fire gym. But no, the field weakens your attack or makes the do something else, and the gymleaders pokemons have super effectiv moves against you, solarbeam in a sunyday effect. Then you think what else, maybe rock and ground, well yes. But that solarbeam. Just think if all of her mons had solarbeam. Only way to win would be luck and sturdy. I belive Ame gives us so much murcy that we never knew we got.
But I most say Samson was to easy, an 62 lv Emolga swept him. So a littel to much murcy.
Really, if it weren't for field effects, Charlotte wouldn't be that difficult. That's what makes Reborn uniquely difficult.
-
Cain mentions meeting him in the underground railway after finishing Apophyll Academy. He says it right after you battle him and he opens up the wasteland for you.
-
Basically if you can find the Heracross/Pinsir event, you'll be able to get it. It's towards the end of clearing the entire southern forest. That place is too big to figure out where exactly it is so take Nickcrash's advice and clear the whole forest. Any honey tree you come across with a web or log withing viewing distance, you should place honey on that tree. You'll need Tauros to get to a few of them for sure since ledges are a thing.
-
Ghost/Fighting would fit great for Bannette. Even some ROM hacks have changed its typing. Same goes for Electivire.
I'd personally like to see Normal Typing get a lot more love. You usually see just plain Normal or Normal/Flying. Looking at 6th gen it seems their starting to get the picture with Dual typing Normal Pokemon. Normal also isn't super effective against anything (which I never really understood why that is) and is completely walled by Ghost Type. That being said, I think I would like to see a Normal/Ghost typing more than anything.
Aside from that, do you think Gamefreak will actually implement Pokemon with 3 types in a future generation? I mean they already have triple battles, so why not triple typing. Maybe the math would be too complicated. Hmmm...

Go for it Sheep. Feel free to edit what you see fit. I saw that Antares posted this, but I figured since mine was more in depth it would be alright. And thanks for telling me about the Boss 11 hiccup. I'll fix it soon.
