  1. It´s probably not what the OP had in mind but I really like it when someone fights Taka and his Chatot the first time. Usually it goes from laughing at his ace to an "what the hell" mere seconds after it waas send out.

My favourite part is Shades Gym and his fight. His battle theme makes it my favourite fights as well.

  2. I don't have 40k to burn on rebuilding the stairs. While I can get around pretty quickly the main problem with travel in Reborn is no fly. So getting from Calcenon to Beryl is a major pain.

Considering we shouldn´t be able to go back to reborn for a while I expect us to get Fly when we take care of the sleep problem in Agate City and we can go back to Reborn.

  3. Ame is always gonna make the game harder. After all, we are late in the game so the gym leaders will start to have pokemon with competitive EVs and Ivs and eventually moves.

Since this Episode I believe earlier Gym leaders also have competitive IVs and EVs

  4. You also can catch a swanna that learns rain dance by leveling up, also there are other moves that destroy the fire field like surf, moddy water, etc... check your fields guide in reborn`s folder.

Destroying the burning field would only revert it back to a superheated field which will immediatly be a burning field again through Heat Wave and Eruption.

  5. Gale Wings Talonflame

I wouldnt switch out either of her Ninetails because is her only reliable counter against Rain Dance without wasting a turn and her Pokemon kinda abuse the Rainbow field with Hidden Power and Mystical Flame.

    Edit:

Although priority Tailwind would really help the rest of her Team and she probably needs a physical Pokemon.

  6. Her second Ninetails actually has flash fire in order to take advantage of the burning field. The reason she has two is that one is for setting up the sun and the other is used as her ace. If there was another fire type pokemon with drought (that isn't mega Charizard Y) she'd probably be using it as her opener. That's my take on it anyway.

Actually her second Ninetails has also Drought.

  7. Well, s/he should have it if she got to this part. Either that or she helped Team Magma and didn´t fight Archie in Seventh Street. If so, you better do it ^-^

I´m pretty sure you´re not required to beat Craudberry to proceed with the story, so the TM´s are missable.

    @Undying Phoenix

You should make sure to kill her Typhlosion as fast as possible because this thing can wreck you with his Burning Field+Blaze+Stab+Full HP Eruption

  8. Rain Dance is a TM, you can acquire it by helping out team aqua i think...

Also, i've tried the Gyarados method. I always get down to her rotom and she obliterates me. If all else fails, i've tried another method of using her own tactics against her. Get a fire type with flash fire, a flame plate, and flamethrower will 1-2 hit KO her whole team with the field effect boost.

Well thing is, s/he can´t get it at the moment because she doesn´t have it.

  9. If you have a Heart Scale you can let Gyarados relearn Rain Dance at the Agate Circus and then proceed to wreck her with Earthquake. Only problem is: Her Pokemon have HP Rock against Gyarados and in the Rainbow field HP does 1.5x additional damage. What level are your Pokemon and do you have Pokemon with similiar Level in the box?

Edit: Also she has 2 drought Ninetails. So don´t think you have won after you removed her first sun.

  10. I don't have the Rain Dance TM, though. I could give Azumarril a Quick Claw and chain reset until it procs, but I'd rather not have to resort to that. X.X Only other Pokemon I've found that learns it naturally is Lumineon, but that learns it at level 13, and these are in the 50s. >.<

Is Trapinch available right before Charlotte?

You should post your Team at Team Showcase so we could help you out.

  11. I have an Azurill with Thick Fat and good IVs for HP and Special Attack. Special Def and Speed IVs are lacking. Maybe I should level it up? it learns rain dance naturally. Do you guys know which other Pokemon I can catch pre-Charlotte can learn rain dance naturally?

Well Azumarill is quiet slow and will probably die to a Solar Beam before setting up Rain Dance. If you have the Rain Dance TM you should teach it someone fast or with Prankster. Most other Pokemon who learns it naturally are quiet slow besides maybe Swanna.

    Edit:

Also you should watchout in the Rainbow field because Hidden Power gets a 1.5X damage boost.

  12. Most won't have access to those mons, or their equals

Also Swampert dies to Solar Beam and its slower than every Pokemon on her Team. (her Typhlosion should burn in hell). Rain Dance does help a lot though. Needed to teach my Crobat (level 61) Rain Dance because everyone else was to slow. Even so her Typhlosion managed to outspedd it and I had to hope it didn´t use Eruption. Had to bait it with a sacrifice to attack someone else.

  13. That actually doesn't have to mean anything. Other Fields gave images of Honedge, Ho-oh and Talonflame. Those are mostly just random images I believe.

And those 2 are pretty bad, no gym leader team-member material

Doesn´t stop Hardy for using both of those as his ace.

Edit: Also I second the notion of giving Trick Room high priority on the chess field

  14. Short-circuit is probably Shade's, and factory is probably (but not limited to) the rest of his gym. Still no word about Shelly's gym, I guess you'll show it at episode 13's release?

Can't help but notice Earthquake seems to do a lot in a lot of field effects. My shiny Golem was always the "Aquaman" of the team, but maybe not anymore...

I love how Discharge both short circuits AND re-energizes the field. I'm gonna have a lot of fun with my Magnezone.

And HOLY CRAP THAT TECHNICIAN BOOST. Especially since it's relatively early game... And ESPECIALLY with my Magnezone's discharge.

Well Shelly´s Gym could have the Forest field because special bug attacks (like struggle bug) get a Damage increase.. I also think get Vespiquen as a new team member considering it benefits greatly from this field. And I think Titania benefit from the Factory field considering her Scizor would get a technician boost with X-Sissor in it.

  15. Well if you don´t mind training a new Pokemon I recommend you Venomoth with Quiver Dance. Is pretty usefull in combination with Leech Seed on her Muk. You could also let Toxikroak relearn Mud Bomb and Nasty Plot to set up on her first two Pokemon. Sadly it doesn´t have Dry Skin. You could also try to set up Bulk up with Blaziken as soon as her Tentacruel is down and she has something other than Nidoqueen and Dragalge (Dragon tail) out. You could also try setting up Calm Mind with Guardevoir but I doubt she would survive a double Sludge Wave from her first two Pokemon.

    Edit:

Oh yeah, appearently Magneton is also pretty good against her.
