    I tried insurgence a while back but it didn't feel as pokemon as i wanted it to be ( mainly technical stuff that break immersion for me ) but i will go check this out to see what's new about it.

    and what is OG game btw ?

    By technicality it just means original. A lot of the fan games so far are based loosely or entirely on the reborn story line/has elements of it.

  2. Mmmm well that'd be practically impossible since all dimensional rifts have something like an equivalent of a mega stone that turns them in their rift formes. Plus, earthquake really wouldn't do that much since ferrothorn is partially grass, so it really would only do normal damage. Flash fire would be the only way to really cover it's major weakness.

    Oh god please no, that would make it virtually impossible to defeat;

    inb4 Jan decides to put bulk on a DR ferro with flash fire if that's ever implemented

    off topic but,

    never ever say 'hopefully' in front of anyone who makes a RPGMXP game; look what happened everytime someone said hopefully in front of ame. ;-;

    that pulse avalugg from reborn still gives me nightmares, and so does DR Chandelure

  3. you know, once you actually get used to running all the way, you kind of just end up doing it as a force of habit. That's probably why Ame took so long to open the gates regardless. lel

  4. i already started the 7th street event (a guy on the roof top once again steals the pokemon) ANYONE KNOWS HOW THE FUCK U CONTINUE?????????????

    Calm down. Like TimTim said, the event isn't finished (Because Ame relishes in not giving us OP pokemanz, look how long it took for us to get mienshao and weavile), so we don't get it for a while at least. Dunno if it's coming up in ep 16, but I don't particularly care since I got my magi from my ep 9 file, and then never used it, which is ironic.

  5. keep in mind the trainer you battle changes by day. I'd tell you the old rota from like ep 11/12, but I've no idea whether or not Ame has changed it, as I didn't bother using the trainers before/after shade again anyway.

  6. Well, I'm sure the people who are veterans/familiars will probably know who I am, but to the newbies:

    HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

    IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII.

    The name's lynxiechan ( my irl nickname is Cam, I don't mind if people call me that tbh), I've been here for two years (too long), and yee, I had this huge hiatus where I didn't have a computer that was working properly and then mine broke and then work caught up, I only just got back into it like, a week or two ago? so this might be a bit late, but hey, I'm always fashionably late~

    SOOOO YE HI, you may know me as lynxie, cam, or, as omega raider puts it, the one who showcases all his teams in his siggy. C:

  7. If you want to take an alternate route, you could find even slower pokes than what radomus has and abuse his trick room initially. I did that with a dusclops and a cofagrigus lel ._.

    For suggestions: if you want to take the risk, you COULD use shuckle. Be HYPER aware of the chess field though. Shuckle's bug typing aint gonna do favours for you here.

    I second the Malamar suggestion; contrary is a very good ability to have (for me, I swept his team with krookodile (moxie) and Serperior (contrary) physical/special sweep duo lel), plus malamar's dark typing means you aint ever getting hit by psychic like ever. I think one of his pokes does have a bug type move though, I might be wrong on that part. Drapion is also a VERY good pokemon, alongside skunktank, because of the fact it blocks psychic and resists fairy type moves, meaning you wall basically half the team with it. It's decent attack plus Hone Claws and C.Poison/Knock Off combo means you'd deal a super hard punch. Keep in mind though that Drapion DOES have relatively mediocre Sp.Def so you'd have a hard time if anyone used something like ancientpower (x1.5 on Radomus' field, if you haven't fought him already). Plus in trick room Drapion is like a brick. It sits there and gets worn out.

    From the pokemon you have on hand, Scraggy, Yanma, Shellos and Pancham are decent, the first and latter pokes good even in trick room (Yanma/mega is USELESS in trick room, ESPECIALLY against Psychic/Ancientpower). Keep in mind though that although the fighting/dark types are decent tanks, they will fall prey to Gardevoir's moonblast completely (unless you want to use a focus sash - I really wouldnt tbh). Shellos as a Gastrodon has decent HP and decent-ish defenses (Physical defense is quite mediocre). Thus it could sponge SOME attacks, plus it's ground typing would do well against rock type attacks, which I can tell you now are quite prevalent on this field. It's slow speed would also be a bonus if Trick room is used on the field. Get ahold of Body Slam and Recover; I used it once and found that the two as a combo tends to be pretty decent in playing games with a team (dat paralyze doe).

    A top tip:

    Radomus does focus on the slow pokemon. His team packs a wallop and focuses on a dishing LOT on damage. On top of that, they all have some form of decent defense or HP stats. AND HE ALSO BLOODY USES TRICK ROOM. I would honestly suggest a Ghost/Dark type as your best bet; Spiritomb in this instance would be RELATIVELY okay. It did me wonders against a certain poke on Radomus' team.

    That being metagross

  8. On the pretense that you're like me and you've decided that the guide doesn't update as fast as Ame trolls (2 years of observing has made me too aware of her trolling antics now ;-; ) or you're just lazy, yes, you can get ralts. but it requires a long winded event and I'm too adrenalin-drained and too busy to type it now, so ye, you're gonna have to check the guide anyway. Oh well~

  9. His Team stays the same. The field however switches from:

    Corrosive grass to Corrosive Mist or the other way round; I forget. Basically you either get hit every time you come in or use explosive suiciders to blast his field to mars.

    EDIT:

    All part of Adrienne's reconstruction of the city! Xyr first thought was, obviously: 'Y'know, this department store should be... Bigger. With at least 5 new floors, all dedicated to obscure things that only one person in the whole region would want. Like that Medicine you can get in Spinel Town. A whole new floor for that.'

    *Snaps Adrienne's neck* I don't care how cute cain thinks xe is, I'll break xyr neck if xe even CONSIDERS doing this. I swear to every lord helix, goomy, dittoceus and arceus above.

    Yes, I know I blasphemed four times over, but my true calling are my fairy mistresses florges, togekiss, clefable, gardevoir and sylveon pls

    Off topic... BUUUUT:

    Cheap (Free) Lemonades and buyable Blue Moon Ice Cream would be great. Maybe we could refight some Gym Leaders up there too? I could see Radomus chilling with his Gardevoir in a Penthouse, innocently... very innocently

    G.Gardevoir is more interested in Radomus getting with the main character, or did you forget the little interlude with her suggestive words when radomus asked to speak to us alone? lel

  10. Personally, since it's not finished, I wouldn't even bother starting it/continuing it for now; it's a total waste of time, you can start it later (Because that scam of a fisherman/punk duo ain't goin nowhere till dey's gets yer moneys), and unless Ame's changed the stolen pokemon (again from the very first one... and I don't mean that stupid blue duck that they called ducklett, because no, what the hell, it's so damn pointless bar for tailwind/rain dance setup/HM slaving), you can find it elsewhere.

    and by elsewhere, I mean go get yourself an episode thats not in double digits. The stolen pokemon is a Magikarp. Unless Ame's changed it. AGAIN. (Damn you. You're like Laura with the Belrose mansion's flower garden. REDECORATE AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN JUST STOP PLEASE I BEG YOU BEFORE YOU KILL ALL OF US)

  11. You might have to beat Corey first.

    ^ I can confirm that - Once you've finished the events of Beryl and Corey, you'll be able to recieve a growlithe by speaking to the chief of the Police (I believe... I did this bit like 3 weeks ago, so ye, haven't restarted the game again since; I'm positive about the finish the beryl events bit though)

  12. Hey :) so i as far as i understand this puzzle there are 5 pillars. one on bottom one in the middle and 3 at the entrance. Is their any order to activate them? When i active the one on the bottom one lake disappears but it doesnt matter what i do after that, the lake at the entrance stays... any advise?

    incorrect. there are in fact 9 pillars in total. I'm not going to leave the solution out in the open since that would be unfair to newbies, but I'll put a spoiler.

    1. Go to the bottom floor and smash the pillar there, which drains the floor above it.

    2. Go up to the next floor and smash the pillar, which will drain the lava on the entrance floor.

    3. For the sake of not running up and down 50000 times, go back to the bottom floor and drain the lava again.

    4. Once you've emptied the lava from the entrance floor, run all the way up until you encounter a lava filled pit. Then, you SHOULD be able to turn left and go down. Once you've done this, find a ladder to the next floor.

    5. On the next floor, you SHOULD find a rock pillar somewhere. smash it and drain the floor above. if its a group of three, don't waste your time beating the magcargo that appears, just run (unless you want the EXP). Now find the next ladder, which if I remember correctly leads you to the entrance floor.

    6. Smash the pillar on the entrance floor.

    7. Repeat #2.

    8. Repeat #1.

    If that's confusing or you're still struggling, I can just do it for you. Gimme a shout via PM if you want me to. Just don't expect a reply in the next 2-4 hours; I have a very pressing History coursework paper practice to get done. ;-;

  13. That's a first. I've heard of Ditto not appearing at all, but ditto not appearing after you bought it? You're absolutely SURE you used 8 purple shards to get it, right? I'd suggest you mention this on the bugs and troubleshooting forum - someone may be able to assist you there.

    I can check the file myself if you PM me it, but only if Ame lets me tbh, I've gotten in trouble for doing dubious stuff before lel ;-;

  14. The whole field of the wasteland is a bloody enigma, never mind the wasteland itself. If we can't figure out what the hell spits out the entry hazards, we're never gonna figure out anything else.

    But yes, you require the Yureyu Key, which can only be found after achieving the crystal plug that activates green crystals in the Dark badge puzzle.

    SPOILER ALERT TO WHAT ELSE IS IN THAT ROOM >:D:

    BZZZZT-DEATHROOMLOCATED BZZZZZ ROTOM IZZ IN DAT ROOMZ BZZZZZ

  15. As a side note, that movefreeze happens occasionally (more often) for slower processing computers. It ALWAYS happens for me when Im moving from Obisidia to Opal Ward. quicksave, give it a reset, and then when you load the file spam the x key to try open the menu. If it opens you'll be able to move. If not, repeat the reset. The first time I got the bug I had to soft reset like 5 times to get it to fix itself. So yee.

  16. It could just be the stats of your computer (if that's the term, forgive my lack of computer language). I had a computer which was so shit it took me like 5 minutes to start up reborn, and 4/5 times it'd tell me the script was hanging, but it started up anyway. Sometimes reborn can just be ultra slow. how long are you waiting for before the computer freezes up?

  17. Let me take a look see. Don't count your stars though - like mde said, if it's really corrupted you're done for. I've come across the error myself before and fixed it though so I'll try do what I can. Sorry if it comes out with nothing though ( ^~^; )>

    EDIT: Nope, nothing doing - the file's gone blerk on me. Sorry ;-;

  18. The Assault Vest isn't even properly coded yet. Luna has the most bizarre thing ever, an AV Tyranitar without Sand Stream and with Dragon Dance. The Vest gives the special defense boost but won't stop it from using DD. Just give it Sand Stream and another item and call it a day Ame.

    Or, perhaps, Ame was being a legit troll and specifically broke that Tyranitar for wreckingball purposes. ;-; I didn't even realize.

    What are those glitches i'm reading everywhere? Need them to access some places?

    I second this question in terms of: WHAT THE HECK IS THE GLITCH? E_E but ye, using strength in the mountains normally gives you access to originally blocked off places, but I didn't know that was a glitch lel

  19. well there are 3 water types in the mystery egg event. so 3/16 chance to get a water type XD from mystery egg or u can just swap to an older episode and get azurill 100%. Also you cant soft reset until you get what you want from mystery egg cause mystery egg is already determined at the start of the game.

    ^ Switch to Episode 9/10. Trading Growlithe for Azurill in ep... 11? 12? onwards overwrites the mystery egg event entirely; I tried to do it, being a smartass who wanted two azurills instead of one. ;-; I got two anyway because the damn mystery egg event generated an azurill D:<

  20. Your current team is actually pretty decent, but it has flaws.Type advantage wise you've got Growlithe which blocks Fairies that might be a threat to Greninja and Hariyama, and Greninja to counter Ghost/Dark types. I suggest you do invest in that helioptile; it can be found on the rooftop during a sunny day. Keep that in mind.

    In terms of Offense:

    Physically, you pretty much pack a humongous punch. BUT, you really need something that dishes out special attack. I suggest one of the bug types; where you currently are, you could actually get one or two (the one Im actually thinking of is Venonat/Venomoth - it's decent special defense and special attack mean it can dish out a punch when properly used, again, that's just me though, but I've used Venomoth since.... Shelly? I couldn't find it prior to her + 2lazy to actually try and get it, and with the exception of Samson and Ciel Ive used it in every gym/boss battle since). Alternatively, you CAN invest in that budew that you have, but really, unless you somehow get a hold of a nuzleaf or exeggcute, it's not going to do you many favors against Shade. I mean, you could also invest in the Gothita from the Beryl Library; one of the Gothitas will insist on going with you if you interact with it after you've finished the cleaning the library event and gotten a soul candle from Gothitelle. The bulk that it has + Psyshock would very easily do some slow but relatively decent damage. Although, it is a psychic type, and would do you little favours in terms of type advantage, in the long run Gothitelle is actually really good (....I might train my own one now, gg me)

    (Check the spoiler if a) you want a hint and b ) you want Shade's team properly ruined in terms of surprises)

    That Chandelure of his will make absolute mincemeat of you. It packs Energy Ball, Shadow Ball, Possibly Psychic, and almost definitely HWave/Flamethrower. You'd best pick up something that's ultra fast, or has a lot of special bulk and a ton of physical damage to boot. Rotom/Gengar as well will most likely make your greninja a broken origami frog rather than a viable frog, ESPECIALLY if Gengar is still packing that Thunderbolt. ALTHOUGH, if your Greninja still has Shadow sneak, exploit that shit until you die. It's going to have a pretty massive power boost in the darkness that is Yureyu HQ. Watch out for Gourgeist though - Shade's main physical bulk is your spooky veggie, packing leftovers and leech seed to boot. I've kinda forgotten what else he holds in ep15 though.

    In terms of Defense:

    If you ever came up against a sweeper speed team, you're going to hate the three pokemon you have right now. (Again, check the spoilers tab if you must know what I mean.)

    I.e. Kiki's Medicham, Cal's Blaziken/Infernape, Samson's bloody Mienshao/Hariyama (Jebus, the guts Hariyama though, I didn't even realise until my third attempt.), Charlotte's Eruptions (CHRIST ALMIGHTY!) Terra's Garchomp/Nidoking (Nope, NOPE NOPE NOPE.) Ciel's Talonflame (OH GOD CALL 999), and, possibly the one that will give a low defense team a HELLUVA hard time: Noel. His ENTIRE team screams GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE! Ahem, Excuse the language. But hey, he's a child prodigy so yeee

    You NEED something with bulk. Or a staller. Unfortunately, where you currently are, very few pokemon can really do any bulk at all. If you have Scraggy though, that works as a decent-ish bulk. And, as Grizzly has suggested, Muk and Lotad are really good as well. Lotad is found on the third dock in the Coral Ward on a rainy day.

    PS: Maaan, I keep forgetting tangrowth, and because of Rejuvenation I actually really like him now ;-;

  21. Welcome to Reborn! Community rules on your left, search bar above that, Showdown server above that. Try not to confuse the search bar with the status bar below the rules, as it's a common mistake. I hope that you enjoy your stay here on the forums!

    SkyRunner forgot to mention something.

    LEAVE YOUR SANITY AT THE FRIGGIN FRONT DOOR.

    OR, ALTERNATIVELY, SMACK BANG IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FORUM WITH THE SANITY DEPOSIT VAULT. THIS ISN'T REALLY AN OPTION. AME WILL JUST CHUCK IT OUT THE WINDOW.

    Apart from that, welcome! Even though this is 2 days late, I hope you're not dead from all the Amethyst trolling you've been recieving (I STILL HAVEN'T GOT THAT KLEFKI!!!!) and that you still have some sort of humanity and sanity left within you (This game drives you bonkers I tell you LEAVE NOW).
