  1. I don't like the idea of changing shiny Pokémon designs so drastically like that, especially not changing them into zombies, it's repulsive and not at all Pokémon-like. But even other alterations...shinies are just supposed to be rare color variations, like albino animals in real life...they aren't horribly mutated versions of the Pokémon. Plus imagine somebody seeing one and thinking, oh hey a Zombie machop, it must be part ghost or something...but no, it's exactly the same as any machop...yet it looks totally different. That's not right. It's pretty immersion breaking IMO. If you want to do something like this, you should give the Pokémon new separate forms, I know Zeta does something similar with Delta Pokémon. But leave shinies as just color variations.

  2. On the topic of fossils, why do the revived Pokémon start out at such a low level? It's just unnecessary grinding to get them to a level where they can fight by themselves. I remember fossils being revived at lv. 20 in gen 4.

  3. Ah. So that's the next gym leader(or at least type, I noticed some of the people on that page don't match up with who is in game). Well I'm glad I stuck with Ralts, so long ago. Anyways, there are clearly 18 badges and 18 shots, I'm not sure what you mean nemesish. As for the level cap, it won't go above 100, I'm fairly sure you'll just get the 16th badge, the leader will say something like: "All Pokémon will now obey you...if you can capture them, that is.", and from then on all the leaders and major trainers will have full teams of level 100 Pokémon, and so will you if you have been training evenly. No problem with that. You can still continue to grow in power by finding actual GOOD TM's, or capturing rare and powerful Pokémon...so I'm not worried.

  4. This happened to my speed boost Blaziken...I was pretty upset as you could imagine, but unfortunately the abilities were being read wrong in E10, and the bug was fixed in 10.5...so there isn't anything you can do, it was a bug that was fixed I guess. Maybe the ability capsule will be available in E11, who knows.

  5. I remember one of the things that gave me trouble was that you had to run right into one of the trees before it disappeared. It took me hours to figure that forest out, I feel like it might be harder than it's supposed to be for some reason. Try using some repels to make it less frustrating, and just run into everything while you keep looping around. Eventually a new path should open up.

  6. I really wish there was a visual cue for the swooping down encounters, like the dust clouds in caves you see in B/W. Right now they are the most annoying thing, basically they just drastically increased the encounter rate because there is no way you can remember where they are. So now you have all these unavoidable extra encounters that take an extra second due to the "swooped down" message. It's soooo annoying. Can we get a shadow on the ground below them or something like that? If you just rush through caves you won't notice them but if you advance carefully you will this way.

  7. I don't EV train and I've beaten all the content so far. It's far more important to have a balanced team and be willing to train more than 6 Pokémon so you can swap out for certain areas/gyms. Also, glass cannons don't work nearly as well as they do in the main games; I've found that it's better to train Pokémon that can take a hit or two and hit back harder. Getting the ideal abilities is pretty important too, and I always try to get a good nature if possible. If you do that you don't need to EV train on top of it.

  8. IMO, the easiest way to get 10000 coins is to time hitting Z/Enter perfectly in the lottery to get 3 sevens in a row. I had 10000 in about an hour.

Can confirm, at least for me as a Ruby veteran, the slots are the best way to make coins. Selling all your vitamins and buying coins works too though.

  9. I liked the old sprites better. The Pokémon look so tiny now; did they really look so small in the newer games? But I'm sure I'll get used to it, as the newer Pokémon clearly don't have any old style sprites, it was a necessary change. The male and female symbols actually bother me more; look at them, they're huge! The female one even seems to partially overlap the health bar. It seems off. I'm being kind of nitpicky here though, I know.

  10. I know this is somewhat off-topic but it needs to be said and many of these posts reminded me of it: one of the things I love most about reborn is how it makes you realize how good some rarely-used Pokémon are. The selection in the beginning is limited, and most of the strongest ones are purposely unavailable, like most dragons; but you quickly realize how much potential weaker Pokémon have, like Sandslash, Wishcash, Cofagrigus, Gardevoir, etc. My Sandslash destroys people with earthquake, and it's probably the only Pokémon I ever used sandstorm on because of how good sand rush is as an ability for it. Natural movepools matter a lot more too since good TMs don't exist yet; hearing what Noivern can learn from heart scales really makes me want to train one myself. Add to that the fact that you have to switch out members of your team often to deal with various gym leaders THAT ARE ACTUALLY CHALLENGING...and, well, there is no other Pokémon game with this much variety. I love it.
