Even though I've gone through Noel and passed him, Shade definitely made me wanna hit my computer with a shinkou-hadouken. Shade was the reason why i have multiple teams now (thanks shade..) and when i was just straight losing to that entity i made sure that my whole team was mostly dark type, (4-5/6) and the remaining has dark type moves that could SE his pokemon. then after that i became more prepared for my upcoming gyms and i would not say it was easy but its manageable. but shade definetly was the hardest battle for me.

oh i did not know about the pc. i was actually scared when i faced that steelix because i saved my game inside the cave and i thought im stuck there forever since there is no pc.. had like my flying types with me and magnezone and my drapion so what i did is i used escape rope and i like escaped out and went back to the safe house and got the proper pokes. I just beat this team a while ago.

I got my gengar spamming hypnosis and switching to my other pokes. my lucario is also a key asset and crafty, also my staraptor.

his swellow gave me a hard time, with facade and brave bird but lucario manage to survive with like 15 hp.

Didn't the little lore-test say that it was Shade's idea for Corey to commit suicide? Or was it Shade's idea for Heather to run away?

As for naming your Gengar after him, Shade did sort of take the guy's body. Kind of alludes to the idea that Shade didn't just name his pokemon after a recently dead gym leader...maybe he has a means of turning spirits into pokemon. It's an interesting little twist that is ripe to be explored. Considering how dark some of the pokemon's backstories are, it's a shame it's not explore more in the actual game or anime and it's been forever since I read any of the manga...

yea you are on point! i want to see something like this in a nintendo franchise.. well it could be possible but nintendo has to bump up the rating to pg-13 or so....
