  1. So I'm trying to grind special attack ev's for my alakazam and my noivern. Unfortunately, I have no clue where citae arc-d'astrae (where this thread http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=7866 says it's a great place to train special attack ev's) is or no memory of going to that place.

My other question is I only have 9 badges, but I just finished episode 11. Did I miss one? Where do I go to get the 10th badge? Can I pester Shade to give me Heather's dad's badge from his corpse? Or Kiki's badge from her headless corpse?

    Sorry, that's awful. But yeah, 9 badges =( post-48081-0-48668100-1398639506_thumb.j

Really should be 11......Dang Kiki.....And maybe we could have fought a different gym leader. but yeah, I hope now in the future when Ame creates these episodes there will be no more dying gym leaders

    Except for maybe....

Amaria, because in Shade's gym we saw her getting pushed off a waterfall/cliff?

  2. I've had this growlithe and Haunter forever and looked for those stones and its driven me crazy if you know the location please tell me or I'm goona jump off the bridge like the poison gym leader. >_<

Well.......... Fire stones you can just mine them from the mining rocks.

There are 5 Link stones in the game that I have found.

    1. You buy for 10,000 after beating Shelly

    2. Inside the cave next to Corey's gym in a hidden rock

    3. Click on the rock when you reach the Abandon building(the one that Team meteor took over)

    4. In a bush/grass circle thing. You have to clear some Logs and webs in the South Averturine Woods when you get there.

    5. You trade it for a rare candy(or was it for a 'rare candy')

  3. Why did you have to restart(again............)? But in all seriousness, yeah, Adamant is the best nature for Chespin.

Anyways these are the starters you can receive later in the game; Bulbasaur, Cyndaqui, Mudkip, Piplup, Tepig, and Chespin. So you CAN choose them, I'm not saying you can. I'm just saying these are the starters you can get later in game. If you really want a good companion, then I would suggest getting a Torchic, Chimchar, Snivy, Charmander, Treecko, Turtwig, or Froakie. Those are the pokemon that helped me the most when I was deciding what starter to choose.

    Reasons for the starters I chose;

Torchic: Speed Boost(must I say more? well okay! You can get 2 Heart Scales early on, and you can give those two to your Blaziken. Letting your blaziken learn HJK and Flare Blitz early game).

Chimchar: Iron Fist and it's moveset is amazing~

Snivy: Grass type, Contrary for it's ability. It'll be great early on against Julia and Flobot's Cradily. It also has a decent moveset as well!

Charmander: Dragon Rage....Dragon Rage is soooooo OP early game. Of course you can also get a Gyarados to learn Dragon Rage.

    Treecko: Because of it's moveset

Turtwig: It's typing in Torterra is so good. It also get learn a ton of cool moves as well like Wood Hammer, and EQ(Earthquake).

    Froakie: Protean. just.....Protean :)

  4. Your team is fine. But I would suggest getting a Bug type pokemon to defeat Radomus and Luna(if you haven't already) I suggest getting/finding a Heracross to replace that Tauros. Heracross is so good with Moxie and it has access to Close Combat, and Megahorn!!

  5. I'm actually allowing the use of non Dark-types if their evolutions eventually gain the Dark-type, so I get to use Froakie, Skorupi, etc. Unfortunately, I think you can only get Pancham when you're able to get Scraggy, and both of them are past Florinia.

In general, it seems the only way I can get past her at the moment is to spam status lowering attacks and hope for good hax on my part.

Pancham can be found in the slums, along side with Mankey and Makuhita.

you know, now that i think about it...couldnt this be pinned? A lot of people have trouble with Cradilly, some have even quit because of how difficult it is. This could help a lot of people

People quit because they can't think of ways to defeat her, or just give up. Reborn is meant to be for a challenge. But yeah if people REALLY want to defeat her to continue, they can always find this place. or another thread with perhaps better strats xD (not saying yours isn't good)

  6. Does anyone have any advice for a team of four Mightyenas, a Protean Frogadier, and a Stunky? Because in my Dark monotype challenge I don't have many useful options. *glares at Pin Missle*

Why not go get yourself a Pancham? oh wait he's fighting type first, THEN dark/fight....

It's a shame that Ame removed Scraggy though....... uh,...try mass sand attack to her Cradily.... I guess xD

  7. Well, I talked to that book in the grand hall and the order was the exact same as that image on the files.

But yea, she's probably lying to us about it, unless she modifies that picture every time an episode is released just to piss us off.

Ame just loves to play with us doesn't she? Everything wrong that's in the game, Blame either Ame or Shade C:

  8. Well if you're asking if there are any more Easter Eggs with the Tauros, then I'm not quite sure..... Try looking in places where we/you know can't get through unless by a ledge.

I'm not sure if this is one, but by clicking on the books in the Grand Hall(first building in Reborn that you go into) the text screams out "BADGESSSSS" and if you look into your trainer card you'll see ALL of the badges, and by guessing, you can predict what the next leader is.

  9. Any strategy relying on Toxic Spikes has one wall, Breloom. It wont be hurt by Poison/Toxic, and spore can inflict some nasty status effects. You wanna take that pokemon out FAST.

Exactly, that's why you have that Flying pokemon to cut right through him. Flying > Grass/Fighting by 4x super effective.

  10. This seems like a good strategy..

But all you need to just a Fighting pokemon(Makuhita, Mankey, or Pancham[or Combusken/Monferno if you've chosen those pokemons for your starter]) A fire pokemon(you can get Litleo by trading off a Bibarel to a game in the Peridot Ward. You can also get Numel, a Fire/Ground type, in the North Peridot Ward when the weather condition is Thunderstorm), and Trubbish to get those two layers of Toxic Spikes. Flying pokemon is optional, but be sure to not use the flying pokemon against Cradily, because Cradily has the move Smack Down.

Step 1: Get your two layers of Toxic Spikes

Since Trubbish is a poison and Cacnea is the first pokemon that Florina sends out, he can resist any moves that she makes Cacnea use.

Step 2: Get your Fire and/or Flying type to defeat her other pokemon.

Step 3: If she sends her Cradily out only, switch out to your Fighting pokemon and spam fighting moves.

Cradily will need time to set up, so it's good to keep spamming those, and if your fighting pokemon dies early. Don't worry because of those toxic spikes the poison damage will continue to hut Cradily every turn by +6%.

Step 4(optional, if not been done): Clear out the rest of her pokemon(s) with your Fire and/or Flying type pokemon!

  11. find a zubat for extra backbone and evolve it into golbat, because her cradily is the biggest pain ever. [get crobat for kiki and shade you'll need it]

He can't get Zubat for Zubat is at the Bybyxbison(however the faq) wasteland nows. Ame changed it from Episode 10 to Episode 11.

  12. I recommend getting a Trubbish so you can pull off those Toxic Spikes. I'd replace Elektrike for a Fighting pokemon you can find in the slums, because Elektrike won't be as much help when you battle Florina(grass type gym leader). Otherwise your team is looking good!

Don't use your Mighteyena against her Cradily.

Florina's Cradily is a rock/grass type and knows; Recover, Sandstorm, Smack Down, and Curse. Her Cradily is the only threat in her team. The others your Monferno or Grimer can easily defeat!

  13. Like Timber Dragon said. Evolving that Gardevoir is a VERY good thing as well. You can find like 2 Heart Scales early in the game. When you get those Heart Scales, use them on Gardevoir as well. Moonblast early game, is extremely OP as well...... well now that I said that, Ame is going to put Ralts into a later event....

  14. Yeah you would have to have it at a good happiness(so guessing max happiness). Once you have it at full happiness you can get level it up and it'll evolve into a Chimecho, and leveling it at night.

A way to get it's happiness higher is.....

    1. Keeping it alive, and don't let it die! (Having it win battles increase happiness, but having it lose battles or fainting decreases happiness)

    2. Go to the Solon either the Solon with the Vulpix inside it or the one with the Glameow, each time you groom the pokemon(s)'s fur/hair/scales/skin it will increase the happiness.(A good way to tell if your pokemon will likes you is to test it by saving, and talking to the lady with the vulpix. She's wondering if she should give it to a trainer that travels a lot, so she'll look into your pokemon that's in your number[#] 1 slot. If she gives/lets you the vulpix, then that's a good sign of having a lot of happiness)

    3. Those EV reduce berries in the Dept. Store! I think they cost like 1,000 now, but before they cost like 100.(I'm to lazy to check....)

    4. Walk/Run/Bike with it a couple hours. Just keep going back and forth, back forth, a bunch of times. I'd say this is the least cheap one, but the most time consuming one.

Well that's all of the methods I know! Hope this helped!!!
