A few that I personally feel are under appreciated are
Ground - Electric Immunity, great coverage move that's widely learned in Earthquake. Hits 5 types for super effective damage, only 2 resisted + 1 immune. Defensively, it's hit supereffectively by only 3 types, but has two resistances and one good immunity to electric.
Grass - Immune to all sort of powder moves and a lot of secondary type diversity. Grass has a wide array of pokemon to choose from.
Poison - Ever since the introduction of Fairies Poison has gone from zero to hero. Fairies are OP and need to be nerfed.

Gen 2 -- Who doesn't love the huge after game and having multiple regions to explore. This was more an expansion and correction of Gen 1 along with some nice new twists. Ho-oh and Lugia were the first instance of legendaries being a focal points of the story. The final climactic battle at Mount Silver is something I'll never forget.
Gen 4 -- This legendary trio was my favorite, and Sinnoh was my personal favorite Region. Not to mention Cynthia makes for a great champion. They also had the leaders involved in the story quite a bit. Finally, this had some of my favorite pokemon designs.
Gen 5 -- I liked the pokemon designs, hate me I know. This gen gets a bad wrap because of Garbodor and Vanniluxe alone. The region was very fun to explore, N had a great story to him. Black 2 and White 2 were just amazing sequels and Neo Plasma shoved back at old plasma who was sort of dorky.
Gen 7 -- Very humorous and a good rebound from the dreadful story that was told in Gen 6. Great characters and development, decent rivals. Gamefreak listened to the criticisms of XY, and that's what I like to hear.
Gen 1 -- It was fun and innovative for it's time.
Gen 3 -- This gen just wasn't my cup of tea as a whole. I liked the concept and designs of the Legendary trio as well as the two different evil teams, but everything else really was disappointing to me. Well maybe the inclusion of abilities was neat.
Gen 6 -- I could write a book on why I loathed XY. This game was a culmination of all things I dislike in story telling and gameplay (single player wise). The ORAS remakes were also incredibly boring. Megas were nice for making previously poor pokemon viable, but the story was just dreadful and gameplay mindnumbingly easy.

Are gems going to be available for use? They're unreleased at the moment, but they may make certain movesets more viable than others if legal.
And just wanted to double check, is protean Greninja legal?
Yes Protean Greninja will be legal. As will type Gems.

Frankly, I find it quite baffling how anyone is supposed to win consistently under such circumstances when the Gym Leaders have the advantage of extreme flexibility.
While we're not going to be drawing a fine line in the sand, we are going to be cracking down on leaders if they counter team way too much. With that said, if a challenger has a pokemon that completely wrecks a leaders entire team, the leader is allowed to bring a check/counter to ensure that they don't get blown out of the water. As for the flexibility aspect, do keep in mind that leaders are limited to one type afterall, some more versatile than others.

Sorry I'm a little bit late, but you'll see this when you wake up! Thank you so much for all the times you've helped me when I needed something in a variety of ways. Whether the task is big or small, you're always willing to help and I can't express my gratitude enough. You're always putting on a smile and are good for quite a few laughs. Reborn is a much more entertaining place because of you and I hope you stay forever.
As if we'd let you leave.Happy Birthday Famke!

A bit late to the party. But in case it wasn't gathered from the original post, the Santa Lottery will not be returning this time. Unfortunately without the rupee and shop system that was a modification of the old website, it's not nearly as plausible and practical to do the event any more. I look forward to seeing you all there.

I just had an epiphany as to why the glass is half empty is a stupid way to phrase something.
A glass by itself, what is its default state of being? Empty, yup.
A glass is filled with water (or liquid of choosing), otherwise it is empty. To refer to something that is not in it's default state as partially in it's default state is illogical. You can't be partly empty since the default state is in fact empty. It's either entirely empty or filled X amount...
I wonder what this analysis would leave me as in most peoples book??

It's easier for you to get away with this team now since you don't have to wait to get the Speed boost on Mega Zam first turn now so it can check Weavile.
It's still watch out for Bisharp as a whole though. Tapu Fini can certainly take a couple of hits but without reliable recovery you'll need it to really deal with Bisharp solidly. If you allow Bisharp to come in at a good time and get a Swords Dance off on you it could spell defeat. You have to attack it no matter what with whatever is out.
