When I try pushing a crustle into a spot to get into the cave, it won't let me. The Crustle emerges from its nest, but I can't interact with it whatsoever

I cannot for the life of me figure out where to go after Amy jumps off the cliff after being upset. I tried going into citrine cave but couldn't get anywhere
