Hello all, It is Kam back at it again with an RMT. The last RMT I made was just when Gen 6 first came out and now I think it's time to make one for Gen 7 as well. Gen 7 brought a lot of new things into the competitive OU scene most notably their implementation of z move which was like the megas of gen 6. Most people are aware that z moves are used to straighten attacking moves but not many know of the effects that z moves have on non damaging moves. Gen 7 also brought about the popularity of battle terrains, four in specific. It is important to know all of the z-moves and battle terrains if you want to battle competitively in this gen. Having knowledge about all the new pokemon, especially the ultra beast, will also help out a lot. The team I am presenting now got top 400 in smogon Pokebank OU in 21 games(Proof[i swear both of my losses were from hax-]). I could have gotten higher but exams and finals were coming up soon and anyways this was more of an educational rmt.

    Jirachi @ Normalium Z
    Ability: Serene Grace
    Shiny: Yes
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Happy Hour
    - Iron Head
    - Fire Punch
    - Thunder Punch

I know what you guys are probably thinking, "ofc kam is using a jirachi" and probably also "why on earth is it running happy hour". When happy hour is used as a z move it makes all of jirachi's stat increase by 1. This makes it as potent as its scarf counterpart without being forced to be locked into a move. I thought it was so amazing so I decided to build the team around it. It is supposed to be a late game sweeper though after most of the pokes are weakened and all of counters are destroyed. The added buff to defence is also nice because it becomes significantly less vulnerable to priority moves such as shadow sneak and can also tank moves incase iron head fails to flinch. It can only be shiny when it gets the move happy hour and it is unable to learn heart stamp so I decided to make its other two moves fire punch and thunder punch beating steel and water pokemon respectively. my favorite battle with it would probably have to be http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7pokebankou-485512868 as we can see, HO just gets rekt by it also possibly the best replay ever

    - Flare Blitz
    - Stealth Rock
    - Earthquake
    - Shadow Bone

Alola Marowak is a pretty amazing pokemon this gen. It checks a significant amount of the ultra beast as well as genesect and tapu koko. With the right prediciton, it can fuck up slower teams and get rid of heatran which is one of the few counters to jirachi. It is also my rock setter upper since it usually scares so many pokes away making it easy to get up rocks. S/o to lord bagel for the initial spread. I tweaked it a little to make it 248 hp so that it could switch in five times to rocks and gave it 20 speed to make sure i out-speed all other alola marowak without losing too much bulk. The two losses I had well they were because boomerang missed so I decided to give it eq instead and flare blitz and shadow bone are its best stab moves. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7pokebankou-485506691 it put in work in that replay!

    - Shadow Ball
    - Substitute

For my mega pokemon I decided to go with zam. With sub I can beat bisharps and also do better vs switches. It is also pretty good at beating HO/Balanced. Its speed is amazing and even better, it gets its speed at the same turn it mega evolves so it isn't scared of greninja or most unscarfed pokes in general. The only poke that is going to out-speed this is scarf gene and that one bug fighting UB but they get countered by marowak anyways. http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7pokebankou-485487599 6-0ing all by itself. only downfall to this pokemon is focus blast. there isn't much you can do about it just try your best to be in a situation where you won't have to resort to it.

    Buzzwole @ Leftovers
    Ability: Beast Boost
    EVs: 200 HP / 56 Atk / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Substitute
    - Poison Jab
    - Ice Punch
    - Earthquake

It is pretty tanky and and can pivot in on many phisical attackers. Sub is so that it can avoid any status moves and usually slower teams have nothing break its sub. Poison jab is for faries and eq gets rid of heatran which as explained before helps jirachi sweep. It used to have leech life > poison jab but there are just too many fairy types this gen and leech life wasn't as useful. I gave it enough hp eves to tank a seismictoss on a sub without it breaking and max speed so it can out-speed other buzzwole and the rest in attack that way its attack would raise instead of its defense if it made a poke faint.

    Image result for zapdos
    Zapdos @ Leftovers
    Ability: Pressure
    EVs: 252 HP / 172 Def / 68 SpA / 16 Spe
    Bold Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
    - Discharge
    - Roost
    - Hidden Power [ice]
    - Heat Wave

It used to be my defogger but eventually i found hp ice to be a lot better. It is a nice scizor counter and it can beat a lot of bulky water pokemon better than jirachi on its own like Toxapex. Pressure also helps me make sure that someone isn't able to always spam hazards after I defog them with my defogger. discharge > thunderbolt because paralized pokes are a lot easier to deal with this team. its spread is pretty standard but it's speed helps it out speed base 100 neutrals and its hp and def make it bulky enough to tank most physical attacks. It is also the ground resist in my team.

    Image result for tapu fini

    Tapu Fini @ Leftovers
    Ability: Misty Surge
    EVs: 248 HP / 164 Def / 96 SpD
    Bold Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk
    - Scald
    - Moonblast
    - Taunt
    - Defog

The last poke in my squad. It is my defogger and somewhat of a stall breaker. Taunt prevents slower pokemon from trying to set up or recover back their hp. I have scald > surf because even though it can't burn grounded pokes when its terrain is up, it usually stays in long enough for its field to go away or tapu bulu sometimes switches in on it and they get burned which is always nice. moonblast is last stab and it is pretty good vs dark type pokes which my team would otherwise have trouble with. Tapu fini is my only greninja and mega gyradoes switch-in and without it both of them would have an easier time sweeping my team. Its eves were randomized but they have been doing surprisingly well. Guess I got the midas touch -

    Conclusion
The only big threats so far to this team is hoopa-u since I have no switchin for it assuming it is the life orb with max speed and gunk shot/psychic move/ hyperspacefury. z belly drum from azu can also be annoying for this team but fortunately it can only really set up on marowak and if buzzwole is at full it can tank a +6 aquajet and ko back with poison jab. if rocks arn't up i think zapdoes can as well.

I saved most of my replays so if you too wish to make it to the top 400s in SuMo just look up replays from "god kam"

  2. I, too, believe that everything in the world is already predetermined. That being said, humans have the perception of free will and perception is reality for us. We do not know our future and we never will with one hundred percent certainty.

  3. Would you like vampires more or less if they fed off of orange soda instead of blood?

I would like them more in real life (if they exist) but less in movies

  4. Tips for a beginner teambuilder?

What music you usually listen to?

If you like music, what's your favourite band/Artist?

Do you play a musical instrument?

Do you like sports? if yes, what's your favourite sport?

I don't really teambuild myself but a rookie mistake that I see a lot of people making is soley focusing on team synergy and not enough on a team strategy. If you need help you should post in reignited'light team dump thread where she makes teams and gives reasons for why they are the way they are.

I listen to it all. Rap, nightcore, anime, pop, ost, kpop, jpop, electric, house, country, pretty much if it sounds good enough to me i like it. There is no genre i dislike.

    Drake is my favorite artist

I used to play violin but not anymore

I like playing sports but not watching it. Tennis and basketball are my favorite

Prob wont be able to reply to anyone in a while

    Thnx ody

  5. I meant like each Gen but whichever tier. Still, your answer was good. Gen 4 Jirachi was surprising tbh lol.

I like jirachi in 4th gen not only because of its flinching powers, but it also seemed very versatile. You could go special attack or run lures like hp ground Which made nothing 100% safe from it.

    >jirachi

    >kam

    >surprising

Fk mons, it is almost 70% luck once you reach the really high levels. The more luck on your side the higher the chance it will end up bailing you out of a tough situation. Imo its why pokes like jirachi and moves like scald are so good.

Why do you keep disappointing me?

Idk, you are a bit vague. If I had to take a guess, it is because I never fall for your dez nuts jokes

What keeps you here? Reborn isn't exactly the most competitive place :x

Man, not going to lie, there were many times where I didn't feel at place here. The only real reason I still stick around is because of my AO friends. If they left I would shortly after as well. Other than that, you are right, there is really not much of an appeal that reborn brings to me. I don't play the reborn game and I don't think i will ever really fit in here.

Do you believe in the me that believes in the you???

    No
  6. ...alright, fair enough.

Also, since I've been asking this elsewhere, what's your class? Fire Emblem/Fate series/tradtional RPG/etc?

The mage? I only really play pokemon and starcraft 2 :[ so idrk what the question is asking.

How good are my skills? Think back before when I still cared about comp.

I have had upset wins against you before yet you have won official OU tours. Am I that good or were you sandbagging most of the time?

Do you like smash 4 and do you comp?

It has been a long time since we have battled each other (like over a year or 2 ago) so it is hard for me to give a super accurate rate. However, when I was playing against you in prcl, I was using a weird team that skitty (when she was not a good teambuilder) and I made around cress. Now I know it isn't a good excuse but I never did take reborn tours as seriously as I took official tours. You were definitely better than the average rebornian probably a 7/10.

Smash 4 is alright. I am not really that competitive and I don't think I have ever won one game in multiplayer ,_, given that I only have faced two people so far.

Do you recommend that we sign up to Pokémon Online?

Well, not necessarily. Back then, PO was a pretty popular simulator. If you want to take steps to improve right now I would recommend creating a smogon account and joining any of the tours you find interesting while also browsing all of the competitive forums.

    1. define your teambuilding abilities in five sentences.

    2. what made you choose 'Fruitdealer' as an alias? ngl, that's a pretty cool name.

    3. what is your best ORAS team that you've made(and define teambuilding process please)? This can be any tier you played in.

    4. If you could change anything about reborn, what would it be?

    5. favorite song artist and the song from that artist?

    1. I can do it in two words. "Almost nonexistent". I rely on a lot of people to build teams for me now a days but once in a while a lord squad is birthed -

    2. It actually isn't original just like Kamina. I took it from a starcraft 2 player that I used to watch a lot before I joined reborn. His name was also Fruitdealer and, just like you, I also took a liking to the name and took it as my own.

    3. The best ORAS team I have ever made was probably the first team I made in 2015 (ik pretty far back). The scizor/manaphy/clefable/lando-t/latios/rotom-w team

    Scizor-Mega @ Scizorite

    Bold Nature

    IVs: 0 Atk

    - Will-O-Wisp

    - Hydro Pump

    - Volt Switch

    - Pain Split

This is the teambuilding process for it

I based the team around cm manaphy and 3attack sd scizor since i thought they synergized well offensively as well as defensively. I then added a u-turn core as well as latios for defog and clefable for rocks (dragon fairy core). The team doesn't really do well now but back than i got really high in ladder (top 10) and won many tours with it including a POCL tour! http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-ou-93878

    4. If there was one thing i could change about reborn is that they are a bit too strict with there rules. I feel like it limits a lot of freedom of expression but at least they allow it in back channels. I also wish there were ladder tours in reborn like there used to be. They pretty much ended ladder tours because of sniping incidents without even saying before hand that it was illegal. If we had it back, I would greatly enjoy being in reborn again.

    5. This one is a tricky one because I like a lot of artist and songs and it changes depending on my mood or if i am with people or not. At this moment though, my favorite artist is drake while my favorite song is "blessings"

Favorite comp mon from each gen go :]

I don't know if you mean comp mon in ORAS OU or if you mean from every gens OU so i will just answer both of them

Gen 1 OU: Tauros ORAS OU gen 1: Alakazam

Gen 2 OU: Snorlax ORAS OU gen 2: Scizor

Gen 3 OU: Skarmory ORAS OU gen 3: Latios

Gen 4 OU: Jirachi ORAS OU gen 4: Weavile

Gen 5 OU: Politoed ORAS OU gen 5: Keldeo

Gen 6 OU: Lopunny ORAS OU Gen 6: Talonflame

Do you know about Alice and her 45 questions?

    Yeah
  7. How did you get to be so good at teambuilding and competitive battling?

It may be a cliche answer, but I got really good at competitive battling and team building by practicing a lot and having exposure to top lvl players. Two years ago was when I really got into competitive battling, I would ladder a lot in main server and watch high level smogon battles on their forums. My first somewhat official tour was in powc ( pokemon online world cup). The captain of the team decided to give me a shot and play in the team and our team ended up winning the whole tour! (http://pokemon-online.eu/members/72742/ in awarded medals).

How much time and effort did it take you to think of this title? Seriously, couldn't you make it just a tiny bit... less simple? Who the hell are you, Saitama?

Which do you think are some really good and at the same time underprepared threats in the Oras OU metagame?

    Diglett is broken, right?

When did you get to be so good at teambuilding? Did I miss something?

It actually took me a long time to come up with title, but I thought it would be best if it was short and to the point

I haven't been playing to much ORAS recently but I feel like Life orb Hydreigon is really good because it is hard to predict what exactly its moveset will be and dark spam is already amazing. Also, most people don't really prepare for it when they teambuild at all

I am no expert in LC, but from what i did play it did seem somewhat centralizing.

give me an honest rate of my pokemns skills

honestly, i think you have improved a lot recently. You still do choke a little and your team building is a bit weird for my taste so I would say 6.9/10 (it may not seem like a honest number but it really is)

Kamina sounds like Lucina. Are you Lucina?

no i am not -. Kamina is a character from an anime called TTGL

    What's your favorite Mega?

    Why isn't it Gallade?

My favorite mega is probably mega lopunny only because I like using it a lot in OU

It isn't gallade because that poke isn't that good in OU }:

how do you feel about my trash abilities fams B)

what's your favorite junk food brand

uhhh.. what do you like to eat

    ye

I think you are really funny. It is also nice to have known you for such a long time! Idk if you remember but I played my first and only LoL game with you

My favorite junk food brand is probably flaming hot cheetos although i haven't been eating them recently

I like burritos, i eat one almost every day

  8. Ahh, Bagel!! I am really glad we crossed paths and that you eventually joined AO. You are a invaluable member to the squad and your battling skills have improved a lot since we first met. I've enjoyed all the ao skype calls that we had together and grats on staying here for two whole years!

  9. Last core, I promise!

    Dragonite @ Leftovers
    Ability: Multiscale
    EVs: 248 HP / 56 SpD / 204 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Dragon Dance
    - Substitute
    - Roost
    - Fly
    Lopunny @ Lopunnite
    Ability: Limber
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - High Jump Kick
    - Return
    - Fake Out
    - Quick Attack
Flynite is a pretty big threat in this meta and one of the perks is that it can set up on most lop counters/checks such as lando-t and protect ferrothorn. It also has somewhat of a defensive synergy with lop in that dragonite can eat up fighting moves while lop can kind of tank rock moves from t-tar and stuff. Addy Lop is pretty powerful because even though it is out-sped by a lot of pokes, it can still beat most of them. Weavile and Alakazam, for example, die to fake out + QA (weavile after taking rocks damage) even though they out speed addy variants. Addy lop is also a good lure for skarms (which, with quagsire/unaware clef, is like the only flynite counter) since it has a high chance of two shoting even the most defensive skarms at full after taking rocks damage. a spinner/more dedicated stall breaker may or may not also be nice on the team but I didn't know where to go after that. Thanks for taking all of my requests!

  10. The first team you made was pretty nice! I was wondering if you could make a more offensive team for me as well using a different core if you don't mind doing double requests from people

Serperior @ Life Orb / Miracle Seed / leftovers
    Ability: Contrary
    EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    - Leaf Storm
    - Giga Drain
    - Hidden Power Ground
    - Dragon Pulse
    Talonflame @ Sharp Beak
    Ability: Gale Wings
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Flare Blitz
    - Brave Bird
    - Roost
    - Swords Dance
This core pretty much says fuck you to clefable which is like everywhere! hp ground serp is a pretty nice lure which also has a nitche of outspeeding all hp fire Serperior as well which could be helpful. The basic premise of the core is that serperior beats everything that walls talon (i.e garchomp/tyrantiar/slowbro) while also putting more work vs slower teams while talonflame beats most of serp counters like chari-y and fast revenge killers (i.e lop/alakazam/torn-t) while also putting in work vs more aggressive teams!

  11. Togekiss @ Leftovers

    Ability: Serene Grace

    EVs: 248 HP / 84 Def / 176 Spe

    Timid Nature

    - Nasty Plot

    - Air Slash

    - Heal Bell

    - Roost

    Excadrill @ Air Balloon

    Ability: Sand Rush

    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

    Jolly Nature

    - Earthquake

    - Iron Head

    - Rock Slide

    - Rapid Spin

    Tyranitar @ Chople Berry

    Ability: Sand Stream

    EVs: 244 HP / 80 Def / 184 SpD

    Careful Nature

    - Stealth Rock

    - Thunder Wave

    - Crunch

    - Stone Edge

I was just thinking about how well togekiss can beat stall and how well air balloon excadrill in sand can beat HO after it is weakened. Most people do not expect t-wave t-tar or that it will carry chople berry so it can be a good alakazam/lopunny lure. The eves/moves could be made better however you see best fit but I gave togakiss enough speed to out-speed bisharp so that it could not sweep this core.

  12. Having experience with this team, it is pretty well made. I really like the coba berry keldeo because not only does it act like a lure as you said, but it can also fake being scarfed. Overall, this team uses a lot of unique sets and can catch many people off guard if used correctly and nice job on your peak!
