I left after talking to everyone several times to see if that would get things to work.

On my first attempt of the double battle, I lost which sent me all the way back to Carol’s gym so I closed the game without saving. On my second attempt I won. I am on the latest version of the game which I downloaded from this site, though I did recently update from the version that went up to episode 5. I have never used debug mode as far as I can remember. Thanks for the help.
