So far this is what my team looks like. I'm now near the Beryl Ward Gym (or whatever is right)

Joltik becomes so useful later for because of sticky web. I kept it until endgame switching it out occasionally when going up against trick roomers.
trubull will be useful for corey's gym because of acid spray, which will let butterfree do good damage with psybeam.
