Unfortunately, I think they changed it. If someone can correct me, great. If not, you get an ability to jump ledges, use it to jump bottom left ledge, jump off ledge hidden behind the left pillar, use strength, and the the path up leads to squirtle AND beldum. again, not sure if it has to rain.

I don’t think I had to talk to anyone, but they are near the area where you get beldum. Look up how to get beldum and you will find squirtle nearby. Not sure if it has to be raining or not, but found mine during rain.

Missed the initial tropius event because of constant rain. Pokedex says he's in the jungle as wild encounter, so I went on a sunny day like the original event. Can't find them. Not sure if bug or sneakiest tree I've ever seen. EDIT: Nevermind, tropius event is still there post resstoration, just new spot for it.
